I left Dr. Anderson’s practice for many reasons. I found she makes very strange inappropriate comments. Her office confused my file with another patient and shared information with me before I realized they had the wrong person. I was very sick and came in to see her,I felt unsure about the prescription she gave me as I have been on it for almost a week and things were getting worse. I told her I was scared and she laughed. I went to a walk in clinic after for a second opinion. They did the same test she did, but where I never heard back from Dr. Anderson’s office the walk in clinic did call me back 2 days later saying it was urgent I come in for a new prescription as the one I was on will not be effective. Dr. Anderson says I disrespected her by going to a walk in clinic. Thank goodness I did, I was just several days away from having to go in the hospital! How can I trust my health to such a disorganized office?

I went to a dctr in White Rock and thought I needed a second opinion. Thats how I met Dr.Anderson; she literally saved my life my first visit (clot,pe). I have been seeing her almost every other week since then (2006). Shes a great doctor; her humor and no nonsense attitude make every visit great.

I love Patty Anderson. She knows what she's talking about and isn't there to **** you. She knows the facts and is incredibly helpful. I like her open-minded spirit and good sense of humour. I think anyone that disagrees is probably too old and anal to understand. She's my favourite doctor I've been to so far and have no intention of leaving :)

Being in the Medical profession myself, I can HIGHLY reccommend Dr P Anderson. She is thoroughly knowledgable and up to date, and this, I believe is not something that can be assessed by a layperson or 3rd party. I do not see any behavior that is unprofessional,by the MD or receptionist. Lucky you moved on if you are coming here to report "negative" because you are probably a "difficult" person who is hard to take care of. She does NOT deserve this negative feedback she is getting as she is the BEST MD I have gone to EVER. Like I have said before, if you want to be mollycoddled or someone to agree with everything you say, there are plenty of docs around that will humor you for the cash. And don't think that most MDs do it for the money. I think VERY FEW MDs would do what they do if it didn't make them money. WOULD YOU?? No, I didn't think so. So whine elsewhere. It would be appreciated.

RUDE, SELF ABSORBED, ARROGANT, and UNHELPFUL. Lacks any bed side manner or respect. Displays a personality disorder herself. Will never go back, worst experience. Strongly recommend another doctor, don't waste your time. I had a second opinion and was told DR.P's recommendations were inaccurate. Secretary was out of line, she is not trained nor legally aloud to give out medical advice, tho she appeared to believe she was educated enough to do so. She even went as far as to examine my situation her self -highly UNPROFESSIONAL. Both women made comments that were extremely out of line. All round they displayed nothing but IGNORANCE.

Patti is excellent with the cortisone shots that i required for my shoulder - better than my physiatrist! I am almost pain free which is the best that it has been in 4 years. All I can say to the naysayers on here: get a life. Patti is the best MD i have EVER had BAR NONE ...and I have worked with MDs and compared to other MDs I see NOTHING wrong with her work, her laptop, attitude or style. Instead of complaining about her, find yourself a MD that will humor you and pat your hand and never say anything negative. You will deserve the outcome: poor health.

Since leaving this terrible doctor I have found a new doctor in the area. This new doctor treats me like a human and explains the blood work and next procedure of where we go next with a treatment plan for my diagnosis.Dr.Anderson however told me nothing and prescribed a appointment with a specialist that she did not make nor did her flake for a receptionist. After 8 months still Dr.Anderson did nothing,If you want good medical help in the South Surrey/Whiterock area see anyone and I mean anyone but her.I have filed a complaint against her with the medical board for her conduct and her conversations with my wife. This lady is something right out of a bad movie and as a critic I have had to make steps that no one else see's it.As in her(shudder).

My family have been Dr. Anderson's patients for three years now and I have recommended her to other family members. She is a phenomenal Doc who has always been caring and compassionate with our medical and personal issues. Her office is efficiently run. Her secretary is wonderfully pleasant and organized. As I work in the medical field, I am impressed with her up to date medical knowledge, ability to diagnose and recommend the right tests/treatment needed to deal with each situation. Yes, she is honest and forthright but I like that in a doctor, rather than not involving you as a patient in your care. I find her to be animated, friendly and damn funny at times. I think that a lot of patients don't want to take responsibility for their own health problems and just want someone to "fix them" after they have created their own medical issues. Dr. P doesn't dance around the elephant in the room with your health. She takes it on head on! I very highly recommend her.

No compassion and is self absorbed.Never remembers a thing about you from appointment to appointment.More interested in her laptop than you when you are there.Discusses patients with secretary in earshot of people waiting in the waiting room.Alberta didn't want her so we are stuck with her.My advice if you are seeing her find a new Doctor quick and check them out first here at rate a MD.

I have been a patient of Dr. Anderson's for about three years and am really surprised by the mix of comments here. What on earth is wrong with keeping notes on a laptop? Or with running her office like a business? There's a reason there are so few family physicians these days and the poor compensation for long hours is a big part of it. Some say she's brusk, but I would call it efficient. The benefit is you don't have to wait forever to get an appointment and you get in on time. She does have strong opinions and I imagine she doesn't put up with much nonsense from patients. But I have always found her personable, professional and occasionally very funny.

Having been discharded from casualty both in the UK and White Rock, with acid refulx Dr Anderson was quick and exceptionally efficient in diagnosing gall bladder problems. She was both attentive and accurate. What do you people want, a hand holding session or a quick diagnosis, prognosis and an end to your illness. A good knowledgeable doctor, who cures quickly and efficiently. If you want a chat or someone to tell you how sick you look go phone a friend.

My family & I have been patients for almost 3 1/2 years, i've found Dr Patti to be available, knowledgable & comes with good follow up skills. I find her very approachable & fun, but serious when need be.... in no way are there anti-againg stuff "all over", it's clear to me now, that people exaggerate & it is no wonder why many people do not have a family doc as they find it necessary to find fault rather than working together.

Clearly in the business to make money! Office was full of Botox & anti- aging procedures. During my 1st & only appointment she showed no interest at all in my family history. Which includes early onset Alzheimer's & Diabetes. Also made many references to the B.C> government not wanting to pay for tests every year, such as yearly pap tests. I sw her once, and once was enough!

I went to this doctor for about a year and a half. She was definitely flippant with me. When asked for a referral to a dermatologist she said she didn't do knee jerk referrals. I have had skin problems for years and did not consider this an unnecessary referral. She seemed rushed, did not really listen to my concerns and seemed offended if I suggested what could be wrong with my own body. She was always firing her staff which is not a good sign. I would not recommend her to anyone and am looking for a new doctor.

I am floored by some of the comments here! Our whole family transferred to Dr. Anderson shortly after we moved to White Rock 4 years ago. She has dealt with 2 fairly major health issues in our family, and had my infant daughter referred quickly to a specialist (as was needed). She followed through with phone calls to me at home and was blunt about what to expect, but thorough. I love her sense of humour - something that is refreshing and I always leave the office laughing. I wonder what people expect in a family Dr? They are human too!

I do not have a personal axe to grind with Dr. Anderson nor do I have any self esteem issues. I was looking for a family doctor when I first moved to South Surrey. She was about the only doctor accepting patients at that time. I went once for myself & once for my infant daughter. Both times I left the office not satisfied with the solutions to our problems. I would rather go to a walk-in clinic then deal with Dr. Anderson's inappropriate bedside manner.

I recently left Dr.Anderson for another MD in South Surrey. I also saw Dr.Anderson because there was no one else excepting patients in the area. I saw her often for a few year for a chronic disease and she only remembered me for a perscribed BOTOX procedure (unrelated to my disease). She runs her practice like a business and makes no qualms about it. I do agree with those who are in support of "Patti", that she does know her stuff and is very efficient, that is a good quality in a doctor. BUT if your doc is so dogmatic in her approach and does not respect the ideas or concerns of her own patients and does not treat you as an equal human being, this is not good. I realize it is a fine balance but you have to have both aspects of knowledge and approuchability to be a GREAT doctor. I found her to be unprofessional in multiple occations, like telling me the details of why she just fired a patient! She has much to work on as far as bedside manner goes.

Well, the previous physician I had was rated a 5 and I know why, compared to the rating this physician has. I don't feel "cared" for as much as my previous physician. Not anything I can put my finger on, but I don't feel like I can confide in her, and I don't feel very comfortable with the manner she has. Others may feel comfortable, but, as I say, compared to my previous physician, she is not someone I feel comfortable with.

I've been seeing Dr. A. now for a few years and not because I want to but rather for lack of available doctors. Her bedside manner is rather poor. It took awhile for her to be cordial to me. Her notes are NOT thorough, as she keeps forgetting to record prescriptions she has given me. I too have NOT been allowed to even broach the topic of more than one issue per appointment. The RN who claims that Canadians see things more negatively, I have had many doctors both in Canada and the US (I lived in the US for 12 years). I dispute the RN's claim that Canadians tend to see "what went wrong" HELLO - Which country is it that runs to the courts screaming "malpractice" that something went wrong? Is this RN American? It sounds like a patriotic comment rather than a factual one. I too have sat in the lobby as well as in an exam room to hear her talking about another patient with her staff or just to be jawing with another patient at the front desk while others are waiting in rooms to see her.

My doctor left her practice and I found Dr. Anderson online and was able to meet with her right away. I was so upset after our meeting. She did not have any bedside manner at all. She insulted me and then told me that something was probably seriously wrong with me, but we wouldn't be able to do anything about it. She needs a better approach so she does not seriously offend or upset her patients. She was VERY insensitive and rude. I left in tears. Before she even knew one thing about me, the first thing she said to me with a scowl was "WOW you're thin, but not just thin, you're abnormal". She should find out some history of the new patient and refrain from making harsh comments. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone.

Seems Dr. Anderson has two camps.. those who appreciate and those who don't with nothing in between. I have found her to be attentive, yes she does make notes on her lap top.. but how thorough!! I have been seeing her weekly for over a year, she says hello, knows my name, asks how I'm doing.. yes, she's flippant, but has a wonderful sense of humor and I enjoy the endorphines. Down to business. There has been one change in staff because she moved. The staff have all been polite, friendly, showing care and concern. I find Dr. Anderson well informed, very socially responsible, caring, and less formal then a number of MD's tend to be. She's personable.. She's "real".. it is a less formal atmosphere, but with genuine care for major concerns. I've looked long for such a good Doc.

What I find amazing is how patients judge an MD on trivial things that don't really matter. I have looked at several ratings of MDs I have worked with and I KNOW are incompetent/dangerous and they have EXCELLENT ratings because they humor their patient whereas MY MD Patti Anderson is badmouthed for very silly reasons and I KNOW she is very good. Hmm. Don't think this rating system is working.

I was looking for a doctor in White Rock and Dr. Anderson was the only one available at the time. after ONE appt with her, I left crying and decided no doctor was better than adding myself to this woman's practice. She was rude, insensitive, had an extremely poor bedside manner and just typed on her laptop the entire time without really paying attention to me. I have since found another doctor in White Rock who is awesome so I am very glad I waited.

Honestly. I wish all these people with petty complaints would work just as hard on their self improvement. Patti is a knowledgeable MD, who saw me within 5 minutes and addressed more than one sypmptom/topic because I came prepared and kept it brief. I didn't come expecting miracles. I did not expect her to REMEMBER everything. She was absolutely wonderful and I can find nothing wrong with her care. Every negative person here needs to get a LIFE.

Anyone in the health care field is overworked, underpaid, and underappreciated by most of the general public. I know, I am one of them. And, I know there can be unknowledgeable, and uncaring Physicians. But, the same can be said for any other field of work. What works for one person may not work for the other. I have had no issues with Dr. Anderson. I have never had to wait long to see her, if I've had any concerns or questions, she has helped. She is straight to the point, not artificial, and doesn't worry her clients uneccesarily. I don't think it is fair to say she is only in it for the money, because trust me... being in this field, I know, we don't get paid enough for what's thrown at us. Just use common sense. If it doesn't feel right, then don't do it. If the doctor doesn't fit, then find a new one. Don't get personal, and be swayed by people who have too much time on their hands to create a horrible website. This is UNCARING.

This was my family doctor while she was in calgary, Alberta. She diagnosed me with early menopause at age 37 and for the next 3 years she would ask me at my yearly physical still asked me when my last period was. As well she prescribed me several medications that she did not inform me of the severity of using them on a long term basis. Nor did she remeber when she started me on them or why. As well she had not taken any notes to back up her diagnosis. Very arogant and you knew all she cared about is how much money she would make.

This woman has a poor bedside manner. When told her that I was switching Drs because my former Dr was very flippant - she flippantly declared that she would not work with me as 10% of the general population has a personality disorder and she wouldn't want me to fire her next blah blah blah, when I explained that I am in fact a therapist myself and am aware of people with personality disorders - she softened a little, and agreed to field my one complaint per exam. I didn't go back - not the right fir for me. I don't mind someone who is very knowledgable but a little socially awkward, but this person lacks the degree of care that should be part of the profession.

I am an RN and have been one for 30yrs and in every area. This MD KNOWS what she is talking about and is EFFICIENT.Medicine is not an exact science.MOST MDs will prescribe several things before coming up with the best med.Not every symptom CAN be diagnosed. My pain is chronic and there are things that I can do to help myself. MDs cannot perform miracles.MDs are not here for social interaction. If I am living healthy and I have no symptoms there isn't a need for a "complete physical" every visit.I examine my own breasts and watch my wt and don't smoke so I am healthy. There are BP machines in drugstores. I have been a nurse in the USA as well as Canada, and Canadians tend to be negative and will talk about "what went wrong" as opposed to "what was done right". I find that this MD does LISTEN, and taking notes on her computer doesnt mean she isn't listening- It means she is taking accurate LEGIBLE notes. Sometimes you have to wait a little butI have waited a lot longer in a supermarket.

Not helpful or at all interested in hearing about concerns/issues. Didn't let me finish my sentence before she cut me off and told me there was nothing wrong with me. Made rude comments. Talks loudly and people in waiting room can hear what she says to each patient. Rushes through appointment, all the while typing on her laptop. Not sure if previous visit notes are recorded. I had to tell her which medication she had prescribed on a previous visit as it didn't seem to be in her notes. She is no longer my doctor.

I was a patient of this physician, I would not disagree with any of the negative comments so far. She does not allow very much time per patient & has a "one problem, one visit" policy, always a different receptionist, make comments about patients to the receptionist, not a good people person or very professional in her demeanor.

I visited her once and will never go back. Her attitude seemed like she could have cared less about the issue. Was very rushed. Office has a one medical concern rule - so if I had two or three things concerning me I would have had to make another appointment? What a waste of time! I'm sure they make more money by having to book another appointment. Not the dr. to see if you're looking for someone who seems to genuinely care about and respect your issue.

This doctor was in Calgary before BC. More interested in her treatments with botox and restylane ( started as a new addition to her practice here)than medical concerns. Could prove to be very rude with comments at times. Often prescribed wrong medication which had to be corrected with visits to hospital emergency or clinics.

Always punctual but rushes visit. Does not volunteer information...you have to know what to ask. Does not connect well with patients and is very self-involved. Does not listen to you even in casual conversation...is too caught up in her own little world. Has said some pretty ignorant things and cares little about a patient's feelings. Does not seem to recognize you even if you are going there for very regular check ups (every few weeks). Has misdiagnosed things which required additional (risky) testing. Medical receptionists seem to quit on a regular basis making it difficult to book appts.
