My 16 year old had 3 moles I wanted looked at. The staff did the normal history and then when the Dr. Came in she was very quick to have them all cut off. The nurse administered the local and a little bit later the Dr came in and cut off the moles leaving large holes that were not stiched. I would have liked to see the Dr explain what she was doing and why, everything happened so fast. Several weeks later the lab results came back and I received a call that two of the three items were not good and they needed to be removed. I thought they already were. But I guess I was wrong. Now they want to go deeper and use stitches. I have cancelled her appointment and I am taking her for a second opinion. Dr. Tager may be a very good Dr. I don't know, what I do know is that she did not spend enough time with us for me to feel comfortable with her cutting into my daughter, again. The rating of Unknowledgeable is not necessarily correct, if she is, she is not sharing that knowledge with me.
Insurance: Blue Cross / Blue Shield
I saw Dr. Tager for an infection in my toe that was not healing. She diagnosed me with a bacterial infection and prescribed medication right away. Two other Doctors misdiagnosed me originally, but she knew exactly what she was looking at in the first few minutes of my visit. She did an immediate culture and proved her diagnosis was correct. I am now being treated and I have the answer that I couldn't get elsewhere. Dr. Tager KNOWS HER STUFF!

Dr. Tager did a terrible job with the stitches on a suspicious mole excision. She used only 3 stitches but probably should have used three times as many - now I have a horrible scar on my stomach and every time I look at it, I get angry. I'll never go back to her practice. Each time I went, I saw a different doctor every time and it felt like a cattle call. Her husband, Dr. Geffner, did a good job on an excision on a larger mole & the scar is very minimal. BUT, he is very arrogant and the wait time was 3 hours - ridiculous. Find someone else!!
