11/04/14 1 1 1 1 Don't waste your time going to this doctor!!! There are so many better choices out there even if it means driving to Plano. Don't waste your time, your money and don't trust your heath ever to this doctor!! She stares at the computer through most of the visit typing and may give you eye contact for a second or two through the entire visit. She talks down to you as if she is so superior to her patients. She has an uncaring attitude and a very ppor bedside mannor. You wait forever to get seen sitting in the waiting room and than the patient room and it is such a waste of time!!  Respond

20/11/13 1 3 3 5 To begin, the office staff (receptionist, medical assistant/Nurse) are very unprofessional and do not know how to interact with patients in person or over the phone. Also, the office needs to be renovated as it appears dirty, dark and outdated. These comments may appear to not be important as they are not related to the service the physician provides but in fact these issues play a vital role in how the physician and practice are perceived. Because she is the only Endocrinologist in Frisco I have no choice but to continue seeing her however I will not refer family or friends to her practice.

01/11/13 2 2 4 4 The most important thing is that Dr. Dhwahan seemed very knowledgeable about the medications I needed to address my blood-sugar issues and I have been able to reduce my insulin and have better sugar readings than I did before. She also got right on top of a high-calcium issue, ordered scans on my thyroid and parathyroids, which revealed a tumor that is now being addressed, so she probably saved my life. I did not have an issue with any rudeness, as mentioned in other reviews, but perhaps she is a little more brusque than some of my other doctors.......I think this is just a cultural difference. Now, I have a totally different take on the medical assistants in her office. On my first visit I was absolutely grilled by a young lady who did not seem knowledgeable, and was asked the same questions repeatedly. She had to take my blood pressure several times and, honestly I'm not sure if she ever actually got a reading. The phlebotomist who drew my blood was great - no pain :).

28/09/13 3 3 4 4 Overall I am happy with Dr. Dhawan. She works and talks fast but listens and knows her stuff. My main complain is the wait time. You will wait at least 30mins in the waiting room. The office staff could be better but I do love the fact that Dr. Dhawan herself calls you back if you have a question rather than a nurse. That is rare! Actually I don't think the staff has nurses, I think they are all medical assistants. Readers and other reviewers need to realize that. Lots of medical offices operate with MA's. I went to get a second opinion from a top notch doctor from UTSW and she agreed with everything on how Dr. Dhawan was treating me. I am doing well with my thyroid issues and that is what matters the most at the end. So I will continue having Dr. Dhawan as my doctor.

12/09/13 1 2 2 1 Extremely unprofessional staff over the phone (should have been my first clue).Nurse didn't know how to take blood pressure. Unprofessional demeanor by doctor, both attitude and verbage. Would not recommend any one to this office.  Respond

04/09/13 1 1 1 1 Front office not professional and held checks for long time. The doctor was always in a hurry and told me everything was ok then later during the month I end up in the er.. Not only that but she made me feel like it was all mental when I know the sickness. I have found a good doctor now that has found some tumors are in bad shape SOMETHING DHUWAN FAILED TO TELL ME>!

18/12/12 1 1 1 1 Staff is unknowledgable and uneducated. Nurse asking me questions mispronounced words and didn't know what some of the questions meant. Doctor acts like you're bothering her by asking questions or wanting followup. Poor poor poor. Do not recommend.

09/12/12 1 1 1 2 Seemed like she had no idea what she was talking about. Asked what surgeries my boyfriend had about 3 or 4 times on the same appointment. The staff didn't even know what some of the paperwork was. Didn't answer phones, didn't call back. Horrible! Never coming back.  Respond

06/09/12 3 2 3 4 I was early for my appointment. Then they got me in fairly quickly. However then the nurse came in who had bad English. She ask about 50 questions some of the questions were unnecessary. Then after waiting 20 minutes Dr. Dhawan showed up and started asking some of the same questions the nurse had just asked. She told me not to get pregant and then referred me to get a pump. The rep she referred me to about the pump promised he would be a liason. He gave me incorrect information. It has been over a week and I haven't heard back about the pump. It is also very costly about $500 even with insurance but no word on anything. She also took a lab sample of urine told me to take it to the lab. As I am walking out of the restroom the nurse told me I shouldn't have done that. I don't know if I will return

04/05/12 3 5 5 5 I found Dr. Dhawan to be very knowledgeable and efficient - not just in endocrinology, but internal medicine as well. She has restored me to good health, and I highly recommend her.

21/09/11 5 1 1 1 The Doctor is HORRIBLE! She's always late in the morning, I had a Fasting appointment with her at 9am and the doctor did get there til 9:45, then in the middle of out appointment her cell phone rang and the Doctor left the room and did come back for another 20 minutes, the doctor always rushed through things and never wore gloves when she had to draw my blood! And the office manager wasn't any better either! All he cared about was taking your money. I had a credit with this office of almost $200 and the Office manager wanted me to use it as a credit to my visits rather than giving me a refund!!! And last thing was when I was in the room waiting and overheard the Doctor speaking to one of the nurses about a patient and saying how overweight an unhealthy they were. ON THE PLUS SIDE... the nurses were very helpful with my questions an concerns, they helped me more than the doctor did! DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR.  Respond

09/08/11 5 5 5 5 Me and my wife were new patients to the practice. The doctor was on time. The staff was very pleasant. Dr. D listened to our complaints and performed a comprehensive exam. She was attentive, knowledgable and passionate. I was very pleased with my visit and recommend this doctor without any hesitation.  Respond

09/05/11 5 1 2 2 She is always late in the mornings if you can't be there at 9 then change your office hours. Shes was very rude and rushed through things. It is impossible to get a call from her or anything! The office manager is very rude and only concerned with taking your money. I had a past balance and when I asked the girls up front they went and got him and he gave me some stupid excuse that insurance was asking more. Also for a word of advice dont get your blood drawn there, the doctor does not wear gloves also when the staff misses either she uses the same needle or has them leave it on the table till she can get to it. I have found a different doctor and will not ever go back to this office again!  Respond

31/01/11 1 1 1 2 After I waited almost an hour in the waiting room and then almost 30 minutes in the exam room, she spent about 10 minutes with me. Her bedside manner was horrible and she didn't seem to understand what I needed/was asking. She did order blood tests but also ordered an expensive test at a hospital that turned out to be unnecessary. If she had waited for the blood results, we would've waited for the other test. A very costly mistake, unfortuneately. In addition, I feel her office staff was unprofessional in not keeping confidential information confidential.

11/08/09 2 2 1 1 Dr. Dhawan is the worst doctor I have ever seen, she told me I had just a sore throat but now I have had to have my thyroid removed because it had 2 one inch cysts that were cancerous. She just was not attentive to my problems and acted like I was making up my symptoms. I am glad that I listened to others and found a real doctor that within 4 weeks dignosed my condition and had it taken care of.  Respond

15/05/09 5 5 5 5 DR Dhawan was great! She was very thorough on all the testing before adjusting my Thyroid medication. She listened to my concerns and answered my questions with a caring attitude. She was also very thorough in monitoring my results for about 1 year before asking me if I was ready for my family physician to take control of my continued care for my Hypo-thyroid condition. The staff was always very friendly and courteous as well as informative when I had any questions. I would HIGHLY recommend DR Dhawan. Jeff Wehr - U.S. Army (Ret.)

02/08/08 1 2 1 2 This is absolutely the worst doctor I've even seen! She was incredibly rude, and unhelpful. I have spoken to others who say she was not helpful at all with their diabetes. I went to her for a thyroid problem, yet, she did no tests, and told me to go get diet pills in Mexico. I have never had a weight problem, and have prided myself in proper diet and care of my body. She was so rude, and not knowledgeable at all. I will never go back!

12/04/08 5 5 5 5 Dr. Dhawan is an excellent diabetic doctor. Her exams are comprehensive and thorough and the labs and diagnostics are appropriate. When I leave her office I feel as though she has examined me as a total person. She is extremely well read in trends and issues in medicine and a I have found her nothing but personable and respectful during visits. Every time I visit her office it is busy, I have a feeling she sees many patients. To me, that is a good sign. I found that some of her staff are a bit odd and there is sometimes a turnover but it does not affect my care. Last time I visited there was a medical tech who was rather rough with me while taking my blood pressure. She did not know generic names for the medications she was reviewing with me; overall she was rude and stupid and trying to cover herself for lacking knowledge by being terse. I will report her and refuse to be assessed by her if she is there next visit-hoping she was a temp. Otherwise, I can highly recommend Dr. Dhawan.

14/02/08 4 3 5 5 I have seen her for about 2 years for Diabetes, PCOS, and other stuff. I like her alot. I am well educated and pride myself on being informed about my conditions but she was able to offer alternatives and solutions I hadn't considered. She is very thorough in her exams and in collecting history and info too. I am very pleased with her and would be very hesitant to find another diabetes dr. now. She never tries to cut an appt short or discourage patient input. Good overall experience.  Respond

21/10/07 2 2 1 1 Worst dr. I've ever seen. Did no tests. Only looked at my referring physician's notes. Told me she could tell by looking at me that nothing was wrong with me. Wants to see me back in 6 months. If nothing is wrong with me, why do I need to go back? She was rude, cold, and uncaring. Will never go back, will never recommend anyone to see her. Horrible experience.  Respond
