7/11/11 5 5 5 5 Dr. Vaughan is simply the best there is in his specialty. I went to him several years ago to correct a surgical mistake made by another doctor that was causing constant sinus infections. Since then he has been my physician for all sinus and throat related issues. Highly recommended.

4/19/10 4 4 5 5 Dr Vaughn was very helpful and I was happy that he insisted that I do not have surgery, but rather use medicine at first to see if it helps. I hear stories from people who were advised by doctors directly into unneeded surgeries, but Dr Vaughn is not one of those doctors. I thought he was kind of tough with me, but in the end he was right. I am glad I did not do the surgery, because the medicine really helped. I always recommend him to my friends.

7/1/09 5 5 5 5 Staff - 5/5 rating. They set up an appointment very quickly, given that Dr. Vaughan is the founder of the California Sinus Institute. Jayna also sent me the patient information form via e-mail so I could fill it in at home and set up an appointment for me with a CT scan facility right before the appointment with Dr. Vaughan. They also admitted me even though I had forgotten my insurance card (I just had to fax it in afterward). Most of the visit consisted of talking with Dr. Roy about my condition, history, and CT scan images. He also introduced a video camera in my ears and nose, and I could watch on special goggles what the camera was seeing. Very cool. Then Dr. Roy went out of the room, presumably to talk with Dr. Vaughan. At the end of the visit, Dr. Vaughan entered the room and told me exactly what medication to take and to consult an allergist. That felt a bit rushed but given that Dr. Roy conveyed him the information about me, it was probably simply the most efficient.

4/9/09 5 5 5 5 Dr. Vaughan has treated me for almost ten years. He did the last of three surgeries with the best possible results. Contact with him or his nurse is close to immediate. One could not have a better doctor. I rate him a "10" on a scale of five.  Respond

4/12/08 5 5 5 5 Dr. Vaughn has been my ENT since 2001 and before I finally came to him when he was the Director of the Sinus Dept. at Stanford, I had serious sinus disease with six surgeries by 4 previous ENT's. Dr. Vaughn performed my 7th and final surgery, cleaning up the mess from the previous ENT's. I have required no further surgeries, and Dr. Vaughn has kept me relatively infection free by his diligence in managing my condition (even MRSA). He is a brilliant doctor and surgeon with a wonderful, caring, understanding personality. When he left Stanford to form California Sinus Institute, I followed him and will remain his patient as long as he will have me.

2/21/07 4 5 5 He successfully treated my sinus problems after serveral doctors could not find the source of my problem. Is very thorough and caring even though he is very busy. His entire staff is VERY knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The nurse practioner took my history and I saw the doctor working on a fellowship as well as Dr. Vaughan on my first visit. Have been seen by both Dr. Vaughan with the nurse practioner assisting in each of my follow up visits. I highly recommend Dr. Vaughan!

2/2/07 3 4 4 He had his assistant review my files, but he also reviewed my file with me. He was honest and very detail oriented. I thought I needed an operation asap and he helped me find a better way , even though he could have easily charged me. The clinic was very nice and so were the receptionists. Go in there with you information it helps. Good luck!

7/12/06 1 1 1 Had his assistant review my medical history. Was very disinterested in my plight with sinus infections. HIGHLY ARROGANT! Told me I should see a therapist to control my "nerves" and discounted my pain! Went to see a TOP NOTCH ENT specialist at the MAYO Clinic who reviewed in detail my lab tests, CT/MRI scans, and did a thorough physical/endoscope in office. Received the BEST care and treatment. Now I'm almost back to normal! NO THANKS to Dr. Winston Vaughan.
