18/06/14 1 1 1 1 I should have looked up the reviews before going there. It has been a waste of time. The staffs were rude and useless. The doctor was very unhelpful. Had to wait 2-3 hrs for all three of my appointments. It was hard to get any info out of the doctor when he spent all his time typing (5-10 minutes for 1-2 sentences). He explained my issues by 1-2 sentences and stopped. I had to ask him multiple times to elaborate. After 10 minutes of seeing him (most of his time was spent on typing), I asked about another issue I had and he pointed at the clock telling me that he had a long list of patients to see and that I need to book another appointment. I told me he would refer me to a specialist in Edmonton. It's been more than 3 months now and still no referals yet even after I called them to check 3 times. The receptionist told me I have to see the doctor again. So useless!!! Gonna look for another doctor now.  Respond

04/12/13 1 1 1 1 I have visited Dr.Obinna Anyalebechi approximately 8-10 times for prenatal, wait time 2 to almost 3 hours for all scheduled appointments. Refuses to sign a note indicating that I am ok to board a plane, risking me a lot of money, simply because you can't really tell" - while the airlines clearly state that you must present a note after 20 weeks (I am flying at 23 and 26 weeks). He blamed InSight Imaging and Dynalife clinic for sending my test results to NB which caused 3 pointless visits(clinics reassured me that they mailed it to the indicated address on handed out test sheets (which only had his). He mumbles while explaining things, typing away on his computer, does not care for my concerns and questions, brushes them away with extremely vague explanations. Has not given me ANY advice whatsoever, except for once, when the urine test showed that my sugar was high and told me to cut down on carbohydrates. If I was not reading pregnancy books, I would be 100% clueless about my baby.

29/05/13 2 1 1 2 I have been to see Dr.A twice in the last 2 weeks have waited both times with an apt for over 2 hrs..I feel he never listens to what I have to say keeps medicating me and asking me to come back next week. He is not personable and seems to belittle me when I ask him questions...I'm cancelling my next apt with him and going to see my other doctor I would NOT recommend him unless your desperate.  Respond

13/05/13 1 1 1 1 I did not find the staff helpful they seemed to just brush me off sit me down for a good 3 hour plus wait. The doctor himself was not very helpful at all to me he did not seem to really care and wanted me to answer questions that should've been up to him to decide. I without a doubt will never go back to dr. Anyalebechi, I'd rather wait inthe emergency room at the hospital.  Respond

06/05/13 1 1 1 1 I went to this doctor for the first half of my pregnancy. There are very long waits, often up to 3 hours, with an appointment! One set of blood work stated the baby may have downs syndrome. His response was "you should decide if you want to have the baby or terminate the pregnancy. Decide in the next while and we can discuss it next month." He offered no help and provided no further information! I demanded to see a OBGYN and found out the results were wrong! He is overworked and is not very interested in providing good care, just getting through the list of patients.

06/11/12 1 2 1 2 Pretty much agree with the rest of the poor ratings. I expect waits anywhere in canada so no use complaining about it, but the worst is at least someone answers my call. Took me 3 days of calling this office to get anyone other than a voice mail recording. THAT'S PATHETIC.

25/08/12 1 1 2 1 It often takes two hours to get into the office with an appointment, and the staff are quite rude and dismissive. When giving shots, the doctor does not wear gloves and uses the same piece of antiseptic wipe over and over, which I don't think is quite so sanitary. And he prescribed the wrong dose of a vaccine, which was luckily caught by the pharmacist. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone. The public health clinic across the street is much better.  Respond

04/04/12 3 1 1 1 I was seeing this doctor for my prenatal care. It would often take me 2 days to reach the office by phone to make an appointment. The average doctor willcheckfor baby's heartbeat around 12 weeks, this doctor isn't try until 17 weeks! There was a slight abnormality found in my ultrasound which he did not explain at all, simply left me with "she may be born with down's syndrome or disfigured features" and nothing else! I went to a different doctor to have this clarified which I found out that the abnormality was extremely common and the things he had told me had no validation! I will not see this doctor nor recommend him.  Respond

21/02/12 3 2 1 1 This doctor has no basic medical knowledge whatsoever. He also spends your appointment time typing away on his computer instead of doing a medical assessment. ie." Do you have a fever?" Jes doc why don't you take my temperature and find out!!!  See Responses

01/11/11 4 4 1 2 I came in for a back injury from work. He sai three words to me the entire time. He sat on his computer and didn't even acknowledge me, I asked simple question and left in horrible pain still he gave me naproxan and no pain pills which would have let me sleep. I was very dissapointed and on my return visit cause it's a work injury he's gonna find out why patients need doctors. Maybe he'll become his own patient!!!!  Respond

13/07/11 2 1 1 1 This is the worst doctor I have ever seen!! DO NOT go see him!! He was not on time, waited in the waiting room for an hour before I was seen(and I had the first app of the day). He was on his computer the whole time, typing. Very rude, made me feel like I was stupid for asking questions about my health. Fort Mcmurray needs more doctors…GOOD DOCTORS!!  Respond

18/05/11 4 3 1 2 horrible experience with this doctor...I think he missed the "bed side manner" seminar. I felt that he was not interested in anything I had to say re my symptoms or my health history. I found him to be very condescending. his exam was very poor and rushed - he did not explain what he thought was wrong until I asked him and then I felt that I was bothering him by asking. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.  Respond

23/02/11 1 1 2 2 not on time at all. I understand that there is some waiting time but to wait 1 hour 45 minutes for a 15 minute appt is rather silly. Found a new doctor that is much better and more caring and kind. Do not go to him if you can go to someone else.  See Responses

09/02/11 2 1 2 1 I would never, never, never recommend this doctor. I don’t even like to use the word doctor because he appeared to be so unprepared for the demands of a doctor. Moved like a sloth. It took him 3 hours to go through 5 patients. He seemed more into displaying his “snake skin .. extremely pointy boots” than his skill. Three hours for 5 people! An average doctor sees 25-30 in 3 hours. You might think it was because he was thorough but it was not the case. He gets you in there and then spends a lot of time on the computer making notes while you just sitting there for what seems like forever.  Respond

27/09/10 1 1 1 2 I absolutely would NOT recommend Dr. Anyalebechi. The staff ignored me while I waited to check-in for my scheduled apt. I arrived 10 minutes early for my 10:30am apt, and was not moved to the first waiting room until 10:50. I finally saw Dr. A at 11:15am. He has terrible bed-side manner, and basically acts like you are inconveniencing him by being there. I went in for a PAP, during which someone tried to enter my exam room (luckily only got the door open about a foot). After the exam I was about to pass out, showing all visibible signs - sweating, pale, couldn't sit still. Instead of asking me if I needed anything or if I needed to lay down, he did nothing. During the exam he was making all sorts of comments, but failed to explain any of them to me after the exam. I left my apt. feeling a little violated, and without any knowledge of what I might expect from my test results. It is very difficult to find a doctor in Fort Mac accepting patients, but if you can help it, don't go to Dr.A!  Respond
