04/02/14 5 5 5 5 Dr. Marleau was my Obstetrician during my pregnancy for my daughter who was born in October. My husband and I were very happy that he happened to also be on-call the night I had my daughter, especially since I ended up having an unanticipated C-section. Dr. Marleau is a wonderful doctor - very kind, calm, and patient. Takes the time to answer any and all questions. I felt in good hands in his care, especially as I was being wheeled into surgery. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an OB, despite being a bit dissapointed with the care I received from the nurses at the Montfort. His office staff are great, too.

17/11/13 5 5 5 5 I was referred to Dr.Marleau due to an abnormal pap. This resulted in several colposcopies and a LEEP procedure. Having a family history of cervical cancer, I really appreciated how his focus was as much on making sure I was comfortable as it was making sure I was healthy. His nurse at Asclepios is a sweetheart as well. This team is a perfect example of what medical care should be!  Respond

05/11/13 5 5 5 5 Dr. Marleau is one of the most approachable, caring doctors I have ever met. He never makes you feel as though you are wasting his time, regardless of how many questions you have. He has wonderful bedside manners and has an absolutely fantastic sense of humour. He is very professional, knowledgeable and kind. He remembers pertinent information on his patients and makes a point of being on time for his appointments. My husband and I are so lucky to have had him as a doctor for my first pregnancy.

08/09/13 5 5 5 5 Most doctors I have met are nice, but I don't find my words to describe how nice Dr. Marleau is! No doubt he is the nicest doctor I have ever met! The nurse who works with him is also incredibly nice that she even offered to give me some juice.  Respond

25/03/13 5 5 5 5 Dr Marleau saw me through a missed miscarriage and D&C with my first pregnancy and was my OB throughout my 2nd pregnancy with my beautiful daughter. He was so so so wonderful when I lost the first baby that I drove from downtown to Orleans for my 2nd pregnancy just to keep him as my doctor. He always shows genuine concern for his patient's well being and I could always trust that he had my best interests at heart in every situation (which is not always the case with OB doctors). I could not recommend his care more. Wonderful Doctor.  Respond

11/03/13 5 5 5 5 Dr Marleau delivered my baby girl and he was the nicest doctor I could have ever asked for. I had seen 6 other doctors at the Montfort before giving birth and I loved all of them... So when I didn't recognize the name I was a little dissapointed that I didn't get any of them when it was time to deliver, but I was far from upset when it was all done! He was very personable, made me feel at ease, the nursing staff was incredible and it was actually fun! There were jokes all around! Although it could have been side effects of the epidural too haha... I hope he delivers my next!  Respond

He takes his time to really explain things to you and he also calms your fears. I am following him for my pregnancy and everything is great. I feel very confident with him. 20/06/12 5 5 5 5 I have been seing Dr Marleau for ongoing endometriosis. His receptionist is always incredibly kind and always on the ball without fail. He is the best specialist I've had yet out of the 3 and is the only one to have ever given me pain relief out of the 13 years I've been fighting this. Working in a hospital, he has one of the best bedside manners I've ever seen and explains in full detail what's going on and unlike other doctors answers any and all concerns patients have. With him, you're in great hands.  Respond

16/01/12 5 5 5 5 I can not say enough about this Dr. Marleau. I switched over to him at 36 weeks on my first pregnancy. And he was excellent. I went into to labour and he was finishing his shift and came to see how I was doing. I ended up having a c-section due to my baby being over 12 pounds even though he was done he stayed and did my c-section knowing how nervous I had been. Then after a safe delivery, I was back in the hospital due to a serious infection. He was away on vacation but the moment he came back he came to see me. The other Dr's couldn't figure out what was wrong with me I had been there for over 3 days and Dr. Marleau figured it out and gave me the right antibiotics. He goes over and beyond for his patients. I feel so lucky to have him for my second child.  Respond

05/01/12 5 5 5 5 Thanks to Dr. Marleau, I gave birth to a beautiful little girl at 35 weeks. I was his patient while he was still a resident at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus with the high risk team. He is the most caring and supportive doctor. He kept me sane during a very difficult time and humoured me quite often when I had a million questions or concerns. I would highly recommend him. He is exceptional!  Respond

27/12/11 5 5 5 5 Best OB you can have in Ottawa. Almost always on time (and stresses if he isn't) and actually remembers his patients. He takes the time to answer your questions. Although he wasn't on call to deliver my baby (so disappointed!) he stopped by twice afterwards to make sure we were ok and if we had any questions. His staff are great and appointments are never cancelled unless his on call schedule changes. I had a textbook pregnancy but I'm sure if I had any problems that he would have dealt with them accordingly. He also has a great sense of humour and very professional. Even though weekly appointments are a pain, I'm going to miss them. Highly recommend Dr. Marleau if you need an OB-Gyn in east Ottawa  Respond

14/12/11 5 5 5 5 Dr Marleau was the staff OB on call the day I delivered my baby at 15 weeks due to PROM. He was amazing. What a kind and genuine person. When my placenta wouldn't come he did everything possible because I didn't want to have a D and C. Unfortunately, it did not work. He held my hand in the OR while I was put to sleep for the procedure and was in my room waiting for me when they brought me back. He told me he wanted to see me for a follow on a specific date...I didn't have to call because a day later his secretary called to book my appointment. He had remembered and got them to call me...I think I will try and get a high risk OB if I get pregnant again but if I don't go the high risk route I would lucky to have him as my OB.  Respond

30/11/11 5 5 5 5 I met Dr. Alain Marleau at the Montfort clinic during my first pregnancy and found him very caring and sympathic. For my second pregnancy, he took the time to call me personally as soon as my blood test results came back to reassure me. Great doctor!  Respond

17/11/11 5 5 5 5 What an amazing OBGYN! He really takes the time to answer all your questions. I had taken some anti-malaria medication during mu first trimester (before I was followed by him), and he took at least 30min to look up the piossible effects of this in his medical books and so on (which are all on his Ipad, this is a really technologically advance clinic!) So patient, so informative, and really reassuring! Would recommend him for any pregnancy, especially your fist one when you have so many questions!  Respond

22/08/11 5 5 5 5 Very attentive doctor who explains in terms you can understand. He takes the time he needs to treat you, listen to you and tell you what you need to know. You do not feel like he is rushing the appointment. I stayed in his office for 1 hour and a half during my first visit. I am not pregnant yet, but have already told him I want him to be my OBGYN when I will be. My husband really likes him too.  Respond

13/01/11 4 4 5 5 Dr Marleau was amazing when I met him in the ER for a possible ectopic pregnancy. He was genuine and empathetic and followed up with me at home after my treatments. He is really kind and honest and made me feel like I was being cared for during this difficult event. He took charge of my file and made notes to himself to follow up on my B-hCG levels on certain days after I received the drug therapy for an ectopic pregnancy. He was candid and supportive throughout. I would like Dr. Marleau to be my Dr. in the future should I need his services.  Respond
