BEWARE. I have seen Dr. Tareen and various staff for a several years. What started off as great care has now evolved into what I would liken to a human version of a puppy mill with little to NO regard for their patients. My most recent example is receiving a bill for nearly $1000 for 2 benign mole biopsies that were sent to an outside lab that is out of network for my insurance. It is beyond my comprehension why Tareeen (who is in network for me) would send to an out of network lab. I had no warning, input or knowledge that this was happening until I received the bill. A typical biopsy should cost a fraction of this amount everywhere else, including at Dr. Tareen's in-house lab. It is excessive and egregious and horrible patient care to send samples out to an out of network lab and say "oh we are too busy to check that." I have zero recourse other than to never step foot in that office again and I will forever caution others to consider the same.
Absolutely wonderful experience! Would recommend her to anyone and everyone.
Funny thing... I never even made it in to see the doctor because the receptionist informed me that I needed to either sign a blank check for them to keep, or allow them to keep my credit card information on file for as long as I was a patient. This was AFTER I had provided my insurance information, referral document and paid the co-pay. The receptionist said she would cancel the appointment (I had already been waiting 20 minutes) if I did not comply. I was uncomfortable with this ultimatum. I informed her that identity theft is a major expense and headache and I saw no reason to provide any more information than required at ANY OTHER medical practice. Plus, who even knew what kind of security they had to protect my data. I informed the receptionist that their business model was flawed--they sent two texts to me over the course of a week reminding me if I did not show, I would be charged $25. The second text required me to actually send a text back stating I got their text. Yet, I was in the house and they were willing to let a patient walk away for an issue that was non-existent. They had no basis for fear of not getting paid--I had signed the insurance papers assigning reimbursement to them. It was too much of a one-way street--they seemed to worship money more than my welfare. BTW, their office (at least the reception area, since I did not get any farther than that) is very glitzy for a medical office.
I was not impressed. I went in to have a patch of skin removed that was bothering me. Dr. Tarren used a freezing process and totally missed half of it. She didn't want to freeze the half she missed without charging me another almost four hundred dollars. So her advice was go to another dermatologist. Thank god thats not the way my car mechanic operates.
Dr. Tareen is outstanding. I have reached an age where I need to have a little attention from a dermatologist from time to time. I've bounced around between different clinics for a few years. I won't be visiting any other clinics or doctors. Dr. Tareen is now my dermatologist, and I am delighted to have found her.
Dr. Tareen is awesome! She is so nice and knows what she's talking about . I have been trying to find a good dermatologist that can help me with my skin issues for the past four years, she is the first one to sit down and go through a plan of what we should try. Also she explain how the prescription works and WHY she is giving it to you . Go to her, you will NOT be disappointed!
Dr. Tareen is very friendly and compassionate. She knows what she is doing and it shows. You can get in to see her in about a week---many other dermatologists don't even take new patients, but you can get in to see her before your condition gets much worse. I have recommended her to many friends and they all love her as well. I will continue to recommend her to family and friends.
Dr. Tareen is very professional and thorough in diagnosing skin problems. Dr. Tareen takes the time to explain the diagnosis and subsequent treatment. Dr. Tareen really made me feel at ease when diagnosing my problem and then she took the time to explain to me what it was I had and what the treatment would be for it. She is very caring and her attitude is great. My entire family now see's Dr. Tareen and they love her.
Dr.Tareen is one of the best dermatologist I saw. she is a very knowledgeable person and very helpful. she helps you understand the issue and provide all the possible solutions. she surely is the best I have seen so far. there is not waiting time, it hardly takes 5 to 10 mins max. staff is friendly too.
I absolutely LOVE Dr.Tareen.She's caring, great at what she does and actually takes the time to learn who you are. I appreciate her integrated and more holistic approach to care that she combines with the typical conventional way of doing things. She is highly competent, professional and passionate about her patients. She totally listens to you and takes you seriously and I can't recommend her enough!
