I want to say that I have not had surgery with Dr. Davis yet, so I am simply commenting on my consultation and communications with him. He has been much more patient and informative than most of the doctors I have consulted with. He spent a long time with me in the consultation and promptly and thoroughly answered additional questions I had over email.

Prior to my revision with Dr. Davis I had several issues with my nose including a midvault collapse, hanging columella, retracted alars, open roof, and the worst of it, the narrow and crooked/twisted tip that was lacking in cartilage. He had to replace much of the cartilage in my nose with ear and septal grafts (spreader, onlay, batten, shield). What Dr. Davis was able to achieve is nothing short of amazing and in retrospect, I am more sure than ever that I made the right decision. Based on my experience, I believe he is probably the best PS for nasal revisions, because he has the technical expertise of a surgeon as well as the refined and perceptive aesthetic sense of an artist. I now have random strangers tell me how perfect my nose is (which I never would have thought possible!). More importantly, he genuinely looks after and cares for his patients. I and am so grateful I came across Dr. Davis and I really can’t thank him enough for what he’s done for me!

I went for a consultation with Dr. Rick and he spent over an hour with me, explaing what he could do. He is a wonderful person. He made a computer image of my future nose and I was quite happy with what I saw. This was my 2nd revision rhinoplasty. It has been almost seven months since Dr. Davis operated on me. He used rib graft as an anchor for my nostrils. I had a collapsed nostril of which I couldn't breath from. He achieved better symmetry in my nostrils and fixed my breathing. But on a frontal view my nose looked very bulbous and the tip was too elevated. I have a columnella with a very visible scar, the rib graft shows through in my columnella and is bumpy and lighter in color. On a frontal view the rib graft bulges out unnaturally and is especially visible when I smile. I wanted him to fix some dents in my bridge, but he never did fix this. I also wanted for him to remove old grafts from previous surgery, but this was not done either. So I will have to have another revision.

After a disasterous rinoplasty from a well know Chicago "guru" we were foutunate to find "Dr. Ric" to help us get the results we wanted. He spent many hours with us explaining what needed and could be done, and the reasons for it. He and his staff were most courteous and professional, but most of all, they actually delivered what they promised. I would gladly reccomend Dr.Davis to anyone, but especially someone compromised by a procedure that was not what was promised, or hoped for.

Im a veteran kickboxer and active duty member of the military; I am very surprised and sad to see people bashing Dr. Davis. Dr. Davis explained step by step every detail of the procedure and the healing process. Ive been through four surgeries and this was by far the best surgical experience I have ever been through. The tip of my nose was flat and drooping and my septum had major calcium build up on it with no cartilage at all in my nose for structural support which impaired my breathing. Dr. Davis had to do a bone graft using a piece of my rib, and everything happened exactly the way he said it would, my nose looks exactly like it use to. As with any surgical procedure there is always risk involved, Take my advice, if you need facial surgery Dr. Davis is the doctor to see, his expertise is phenomenal, his staff is very friendly, his office very comfortable and the hospital he works out of is outstanding (Memorial Hospital Miramar, Miramar FL). Thanks Dr. Davis you are the best!!

I happened to find this by chance doing a google search on Dr. Davis' name in order to find out where he is after all these years, since he did my revision rhinoplasty years ago and came across the nasty posts on here bashing Dr. Davis, that I had to reply. I am very satisfied with my result. I wish people would understand that even in the best hands, you will see awesome results and****ty ones too. Surgery is not without complications, especially revisions. I was the person who started the Dr Davis frenzy on Rhinoplasty4you.com after my good results and I then referred others to him and from there, it spread. He even thanked me for boosting his clientele, as he was unknown outside of Miami and other than from word of mouth. I take offense at the assumption that Davis was behind all the internet forum discussions to gain devotees! He, like all surgeons, don't have time to be doing crap like that. I love Dr. Davis for helping me be finally happy with my nose. Good luck everyone.

I had two prior rhinoplasties before seeing Dr Davis. The second one was performed by the great Dean Toriumi. A modest result at best. Dr Davis greatly improved my nose both in appearance and in breathing. I only wish he was the first one to work on me and not the third.

I consulted with this doctor for a revision surgery. I agree with the other posters who say that the tries to scare you about your situation and makes it seem like he's the only one who can help you. When asked specific questions about my case or about specific types of cases similar to mine he was very reluctant to answer as if talking to me like I was a five year old child would be good enough. As someone seeking revision I need real answers not canned schmoozing.

I went to Dr Davis extremely distraught after my primary surgery. Instead of discussing MY nose he showed me what I considered 'just ok' results from his other patients that looked nothing like me(my issues)and explained THEM & the entire anatomy of the nose to me for almost 2 hours after being 35 minutes late to our appointment. I was MORE distraught after meeting him, he definitely trys to paint a picture of your results being worse than they are so you feel he is the only one who can fix them. He was not at all engaged with my personal questions or strategizing a plan for my revision. I think his little "draw a nose" is a ridiculous tool to make you feel like with the stroke of his hand you will magically be fixed up. It's insulting to the intelligence. The photos I saw were not impressive his website still isn't up to view any other results. All he wants to do is talk about other patients. I nearly missed my flight home, he offered me no personal relief or plan. VERY disappointing

My daughter and I took months to research the best Dr to peform my daughters Rhinoplasty. We met with 7 different doctors and selected Dr Davis. We both found Dr Davis to be 1)so kind 2)so patient with my hours of questions and 3) the most experienced of all the doctors. We were so thrilled with my daughters results. Her nose turned out exactly as Dr Davis had expected in his computer image of her nose. He spent hours on the phone with me reviewing each one of my concerns. Each time he was as patient, kind and professional as our first meeting. His medical team at the hospital were all top notch professionals and took sure care and concern with my daughter. Dr Davis showed up in the hospital throughout the day to check on my daughter and was there to see my daughter by 7am the following morning. His staff was also wonderful and always helpful with any concern or question. Dr Davis is a superb Dr and I recommend anyone considering rhinoplasty meet with him. You wont be sorry.

I had my first revision with Dr. Davis. He didn't promise me perfection and while my nose is not perfect it is very, very much improved and I am grateful to him for being very forthcoming about what I could expect and essentially delivering on what he outlined pre-surgery. He has been respectful of me and my feelings throughout the entire process, pre-surgery, during the surgery period and post-surgery. I look forward to seeing him on post-op visits. Things have shaped up nicely and the one concern I have, he himself noticed at my post-op visit and he brought up things we can do to help ease the 'problem' during the healing process so that it is resolved. I trust him and highly recommend that any one who needs a revision at least consult with him in person before selecting any revision specialist. He is worth the trip and I owe him my peace of mind these days. Two thumbs up! Also, his staff, Nicole and Carmen are wonderful...I can't say enough about them all. They are a class act.

I had revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Davis in July of 2007. My previous surgeon left me with a drooping nose. My nose looks great now and I had no complications. I can also breathe easier now. He has done my cousin's nose and my sister's and they both look great! He has an amazing bed side manner and he truly cares about his patients. I would definitely recommend him!

I had revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Davis about 1 year ago. My nose was horrible after the surgery and he kept telling me to wait. Unfortunately, my nose continued to get worse. His graft work left me with a bumpy, dented, assymetrical blob of a nose that looked NOTHING like the computer imaging. People were horrified when they saw my nose and even the other surgeons that I consulted with commented on the logic of what was done. On top of that, my breathing is worse and I will require an extensive revision. I spent a good deal of money and Dr. Davis billed my insurance company over $40,000.00, yet I will have to foot the entire bill for another revision. Dr. Davis seemed so nice before the surgery, but when I expressed obvious problems seen by others, he suddenly became an entirely different person. My nose is so severely scarred and it is unlikely that I will ever regain any semblance of a normal nose. Shame on this doctor for selling me skills that he clearly does not have.

I had a primary rhinoplasty in July of 2007 with a brow lift and I am so glad I chose Dr Davis after visiting several Plastic Surgeons in South Florida. He is an artist with noses and I had an extremely bulbous tip with thick skin. He spent quite some time working on my nose in surgery and it is shaping up so wonderfully. There are many jealous people on here who feel compelled to write horrible lies about him and even writing false reviews. I can assure you that you will be thrilled with your results with him. I am fortunate to live here in South Florida. I know that people fly in from all over the place to see him. He is that skilled at what he does.

My nose had collapsed and I needed major reconstruction surgery from two failed previous rhinoplasties. My results from Dr. Davis went way beyond my expectations. I love my nose! I am 2 years post op and my nose is great. I also had a lower bleph and mini face lift. I am thrilled with everything! I am so grateful to Dr. Davis.

I ABSOLUTELY loved dr davis. He fixed what another doctor in Tampa messed up. Had a misunderstanding in the beginning with Carmen and went to another doctor and it was a mistake. Found out Carmen was an awesome person. Dr. Davis is not only an exceptional doctor with outrageous skill, he has great bedside manner and a wonderful, caring personality. I i don't know why he is slammed so hard on this site, i have seen a lot of his work and he has preformed many miracles! He doesn't push procedures. I also had a brow lift that i wanted desperately and he wasn't going to do it at first. The lift ended up turning out amazing. -Courtney Elyse

He did 2surgerys 1st he used temp stitches and the pulled out causing nose to drop 8 months after did 2nd revision used ear graft at 2 months post over injected cortisone for swelling severely melting tissue said he'd do another revision 18 months when nose gets stronger went back 18 months and he said he would rather not touch nose due to weakness of tissue he abandoned me leaving me with a crooked bridge hanging columella and lumps inside nose he,s an awful surgeon with a politeness that lures patients.he waved my fee to him 2nd time but billed my ins large amount both times. he talked about me to other patients & showed my pictures which was all discussed on an internet forum. he should not have used temporary stitches 1st time and should not have used cortisone 2nd time both careless mistakes I have to live with now because he cant fix due to destroyed tissue a nightmare indeed.

Davis does a few procedures very well and the rest he "wings". I belive that explains the extremes of patient satisfaction. Satisfied patients tend to be ones with breathing issues and/or ones who want their tips rotated up a bit. I, on the other hand, wanted my tip rotation to stay the same while bring down my retracted alars. That is what he showed me he would do but in actuality he pushed up my columella (alot). My nose is nothing like what I wanted. He also did several other facial procedures as well, none of them coming out without issues. Every procedue has to be revised. Especially poor were the upper and lower blephoplasty results.

His work required about 30 other procedures in an attempt to correct. Very weird way of grafting but we heard that he has changed his techniques several times each time he realizes they are unsuccessful. Uses the same technique of turbinate and grafting on everyone during that course of time until he has to change it. No long term results. U of M had to pay out for some lawsuit where nerves were permanently damaged by him. Very risky to go with him for any surgery other than simple primary.

Not for revision work unless you want to risk several more surgeries and out of pocket expenses exceeding $40,000. Sloppy graftwork that had to be removed and revised. Nerve damage in ear. Difficulty wearing glasses. Went against wishes and created the exact opposite of anything that I would ever want. Very unfeminine Roman humped nose with drooping tip. Bulky, lumpy and ugly. True colors of threats and lies after surgery. Refuses to refund any money yet holds self out as martyr. Bad mouths other doctors and makes patients believe he is the only surgeon who can "fix" them. Yeah, he'll fix you but real good.

I had a primary rhinoplasty by another surgeon that left me with a nose that was crooked, bulbous, and collapsing. I had my revision with Dr. Davis and am so glad that I did. He is a highly skilled doctor and truly cares for his patients. His bedside manner is amazing, as are his rhinoplasty results. After suffering for so long from my primary surgery, I am so grateful to Dr. Davis for restoring not only my nose and my appearance, but my overall outlook.

Ditto what the other poster said. I had a difficult revision with rib graft 3 years ago and it looks good, and my breathing problems are gone. I am so grateful, it was my 3rd revision, I didn't think I could have a normal looking attractive nose after my previous surgeries elsewhere.
