I am 25 years old and I have myofascial pain syndrome, thus I went to see Dr. Amirdelfan. My first visit was okay, he prescribed some pain meds, but also "highly" suggested injections. On my second visit, I made when I made it clear to him that I did not want to get injections (because I am so young) he told me that there is nothing else he could do for me. By far he just wants to make money, and is not concerened about the patients well being. I would NEVER reccommend him to anyone, he was an awful doctor.

When I first started seeing Dr. Amirdelfan 2002 I thought I died and went to heaven. I was finally diagnosed and he put me on medications that finally started working. Gave you his full attention if you were having problems. Now, after all these years he will not try other meds to see how they work it is his way or the hiway. I once requested something and he just started yelling at me and told me he was the Dr. he will tell me what I can have and I cannot ask to try anything. I thought I commited a crime he made me feel so dirty or like I was some kind of drug addict. Needless to say, the meds no longer work for me and I feel like I just pay to get my prescription. Actually I do. I have not seen him in months and to me it doesn't even matter how I feel because he isn't going to do anything to try and help in any way. He is very arrogant and talks down to women. It is not a good feeling to go and see a Dr., wait a long time to get in there and then just be handed a prescri

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Amirdelfan. I like him very much, and he has always spent good time with me, understanding my issues, and helping me manage my pain. Other doctors are less inclined to treat pain in the ways needed, so it was very pleasant to have someone finally advocating for me. Now as for the support staff: I find the assistant he has very competent, and helpful, and I understand that not every minute needs to be spent with the "big" doc...My experience has always been very good. The "general office staff" however is a completely different story. They are a) rude, NEVER return calls--though they request messages and promise to get back to you, and seem to ust put you into voicemail every time I call. I have been calling for over two weeks now, and not a single call back to schedule an appointment. It is a shame that Dr. Amirdelfan's reputation is linked to such a horrible office support staff. He is great, his office though sucks!

I found Dr. Amirdelfan to be very helpful and he is very nice with me and spent time looking over an MRI I had done a few years ago at Kaiser, I had it on CD and he spent the time looking at it with me. He is not afraid to try different pain medications with me. The first few pain medicenes did not work for me so he kept trying new things and finally we found something that works great for my pain and I am greatful that he is my doctor.

If it were not for Dr. Amirdelfan, I would not be working full-time and supporting my family. He is very knowledgeable and caring. His bedside manner is outstanding. He is responsible and keeps his word.He does however fails to spend enough time with his patients. Overall, he gets an outstanding from me.

I spoke with three patients in the waiting room this week when I saw him and we have all decided to post our rating on here and all agree basically on the same facts. This office is a mess and is a Workers comp mill. Something does not feel right about this office. The girls at the front desk are miserable and one of them even told me to go find another physician because she saw how long I was waiting to see him. Once I saw him, he was rude, condescending and completely lacked bedside manners. He gave me a pain medication and told me to break it in half but the pharmacy luckily caught it and told me that tihs medicine can not be broken in half. I was surprised that he called himself a family practice doctor. I placed one phone call to the medical board to complain and they told me that he is a family practice doctor. Go figure, most FPs I know are kind and compassionate but this guys is clearly arrogant and far from the compassionate side of humanity. Do not go there.

I just encountered this web site and I must say I am amused. How can a web site like this be legit, what is the screening system for this web site. Anyone can write anything about anyone. A physician can write BS about his competition. Speaking of which I must say I am a colleague of Dr.Amirdelfan. As a matter of fact I practice about 30 miles away from him and I am a pain management doctor. I know him both personally and professionally. Suffice it to say if I needed an injection tomorrow, or needed pain management he would be the guy I would go to. I have referred patients to him in the past and will continue to speak highly of him in the community. The 16 comments on here, I am not sure who wrote them and who clearly is trying to defame him, but the negative comments are nonsense. I would be happy to give my phone number and name out here, in case anyone wants to call me to check his references. He is a good man, a good physician, an honest physician and a friend.

I have been seeing Dr. Amirdelfen for 5 years for chronic back pain/failed back surgery. During that time he has helped me a great deal.It is true that he does not spend a great amount of time with you. As patients we must do our own research about the medications we take. He is only a Doctor not a shrink. Some Doctors won't even give you medication. Dr. Amerdelfen is no different than any other Doctor. However he will help you for chronic pain while others will not. I have been to pain Doctors where they give you nothing, thats right nothing. So before you cast any stones at him, go to several different Doctors.

One of the patients in the room told me about this web site. I am glad this forum allows me to share my stories. I am the daughter of a physician and have seen many doctors due to my chronic pain condition. I can honestly say I have never met a physician as arrogant as Dr.Amirdelfan. He calls himself a pain management doctor and I had my father look him up, he is a FAMILY PRACTICE doctor. He did some fellowship that was not even accredited. Most pain doctors are either Anesthesiologists or Physical medicine and rehab and he is NEITHER. His office is truly a tier 3 medical office, it is filthy and they have these so called fellows and everytime you go in there someone else sees you. He did not know this but the walls in that office are thin and I overheard him talk to one of the fellows about another patient. I would not talk that way about my enemy. He has no compassion and is truly a self centered and rude individual.

He is very rude and offensive. He does not explain anything to you. The office is not clean, the staff are rude. More importantly all he does is want to give you medications and not take the time to even explain the complications. They have so called fellows in that office that saw me each visit. My husband is a dentist and it took very little research to discover that this program is not even accredited as a fellowship. I have been there a total of 5 times and 3 out of those 5 times he would spend the office visit on the phone for the majority of the time.

spends only 2 minutes with you, is vry defensive, overbooks all the time. have seen many patients become upset with him because of his aloof bedside manner. Does not let patient have imput to treatment options. Pushed me into getting a spinal stimulator ever single appointment instead of trying new medications. in general i was unsatisfied with the treatment at his practice. Would not recommend anyone to go their. i actually neer really had a exam or an one on one appointment with him. i always saw a fellow and each time i went i had to retell my how story to this new and different fellow. i felt like i was making no progress so i left his practice and went to another doctor and was ten time happier
