This happened years ago and this incident is still something that bothers me until this day. In under 10 minutes of meeting her, she began berating me about my weight. This was a highly sensitive topic for me that related to trauma I had recently experienced which caused me to seek therapy. After she asked a few incredibly inappropriate questions related to my weight, I became emotional. She seemed confused as to why I was suddenly crying and was offended by her questions. I had contemplated leaving at that point (which I should have), but continued with the rest of the session. I found her to be very judgemental, condescending, and lacking any sort of empathy. She tried to explain herself as having an “upfront and honest” approach, but her attitude was far from that and the appointment left me feeling ashamed and belittled. She was just straight up RUDE. Never made another appointment with her.
