Dr. Baily and PA Debra Bayham are awesome. They give you plenty of time and make sure all your questions are answered. You never feel rushed. I feel blessed to have found this office. I have tried several other endocronologists and found this team to be the best. The staff is very helpful. They have always been polite. I would highly recommend.

Dr. Bailey I hope one day you will take the time to read the messages we have left here on this site. I know in your heart that you like what you do and the care you want to give to your patients. But overall, I have to comment on how your run your day to day operations. I am not the first to say that no one calls you back after being told you need to have blood work. And then you are placed on hold numerous times before someone gets back on the phone (I take it they must think I really don’t have anything going on in my life to stay on hold for over 10 min).. I would suggest that you hire a very knowledgeable and educated Office Mgr, run the office like a business otherwise I cant imagine how it wont affect your relationships with your patients or lack thereof.. I waited so long to come in and see you and I am at the point, were I don’t feel you care about me as a patient and others obviously. I value your knowledge and education, but something has to give... sorry..

Dr. Bailey is a great physician; she is very compassionate and wise. She takes the time to sit and talk with the patient; my first appointment was an hour long! The big issue is not getting return phone calls, even in a serious situation. It takes an average of 2 weeks to get a return phone call or answer to your question. I would recommend that you see Dr. Bailey, but that you would also have an already good relationship established with your internist or primary care physician who can "run interference" for you and answer some questions when she or her staff is not available.

8/4/11 | 4 | 2 | 2 | 5 | I had no problem with her staff but my problem was with her. While she is clearly knowledgeable, I found her to be rude and unhelpful to my concerns. It was almost impossible to get her to call back with my blood tests results and I had to call numerous times to get them. According to the receptionist, the results had been sitting on her desk for four days before she called and this was after me telling her that I urgently needed them since I had a forthcoming appointment with my GP. I am not a fan and will not be back. | Respond |

I really like Dr. Bailey and even though she has staffing problems, it is worth it to see her. She is knowledgeable and generous with her time. She does go through a lot of staff, so if they are rude one appointment, chances are they will be gone by the next appointment. I fax her on a regular basis and someone in the office gets back to me that day.

8/13/08 | 1 | 1 | 3 | 3 | Dr. Bailey is nice, but in a crisis I was not able to get a hold of her. I had to suggest coming in for an appt a week later. I will have to go somewhere else because of their lack of empathy and knowledge in a crunch. Office staff is rude. | See Responses |

4/18/08 | 1 | 5 | 1 | 1 | I agree with the previous person commenting on the "idiotic staff" who is "beyond rude"! This Doctor is either "aware" of how the staff treats the patients, and "doesn't care!".... or else she is so "oblivious" to what is going on, that it can lead to a medical malpractice suit in the future from one of her (current or former) patients, due to not being able to adequately communicate to the Doctor...either "at all" or "incorrect information passed on"...leading to a very "serious outcome for a patient". I left because of the horrible office personnel, and having to personally write "legal letters to the Doctor" to get her attention. | Respond |

I went to Dr. Bailey for several years for thyroid cancer management and found her to be personable, knowledgable and fairly up to date on current protocols. Something is terribly amiss with her office staff however and she doesn't seem to realize that it's a reflection on her to allow them to be abrupt, discourteous, uncaring, harried and worst of all, lacking sufficient knowledge to accurately pass on information between Dr. and patient. Since i was never ever able to get the doctor on the phone personally, this sometimes lead to actual crisis. I am truly sorry to have to leave her care and would glady return if i heard that she had improved staffing responsiveness significantly. The Doctor ultimately must be responsible for the treatment we get from the staff.

One of the best doctors I have ever been to. She was able to diagnois an illness that I suffered with for years and no other doctors could figure out. Extremely intelligent, cares for her patients, goes out of her way to help patients. Very thorough. She works in a very complicated field of medicine and there is no way to determine how much time she will have to spend with each patient; it would be very difficult for her to be on time for each of her appointments. She is down to earth and talks to you like a regular person vs. using medical terms the average person does not understand. Would recommend her to anyone in need of an endocrinologist.

3/28/07 | 2 | 5 | 5 | This Doctor is one of the "rare ones" that can truly make a diagnosis!! However, the Office Staff is rude, obnoxious, and makes you never want to go back. Wish this Doctor would get a clue as to what is driving the Patients "away"...the Staff is so stressful to deal with, that you'd rather drive to Los Angeles to see a Doctor instead...too bad!! This Doctor truly knows her medicine, and has the diagnostic ability and skills to go with it. She just needs to get a "clue" about the people that surround her, and her patients! | Respond | |
