:) Click to report rating *  10/26/09 5 5 5 Dr Obey is THE best Dr. I have ever had! She honestly cares about her patients’ well-being. When I visit her I learn things about my health that other physicians never took the time to share with me. I trust Dr. Obey with my health and you can too! I am getting very upset reading some of the negative comments about Dr. Obey. Give me a break people!! She found an issue with my health that other doctors over looked! She could have saved my life!! If you want a OBGYN that is going to educate you and keep you accountable for your personal health, go to Dr. Obee. Don't listen to the negative clowns!

:) Click to report rating *  10/1/09 5 5 5 MAGNANIMOUS! DESCRIBES DR. OBEY IN ONE WORD! FOR ALL THOSE GIVING NEGATIVE RATINGS AND COMMENTS, LOOK IT UP!!! I THANK AND PRAISE GOD FOR SUCH A WONDERFULLY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED PHYSICIAN. FROM MY VERY FIRST VISIT DR. OBEY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, GENUINE, AND PERSONABLE. I WAS UPSET WITH MYSELF FOR NOT MAKING AN APPOINTMENT WITH HER SOONER. MY PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN, ALTHOUGH A WONDERFUL PERSON, LACKED THE MEDICAL EXPERTISE I HAVE FOUND AND NEED IN DR. OBEY. I EXPECT NOTHING BUT THE BEST WHEN IT COMES TO MY HEALTH. THANKS TO DR. OBEY, I HAVE OVERCOME A MEDICAL ISSUE THAT I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH FOR YEARS. I ALSO THANK GOD FOR HER RECEPTIONIST, GOD LIGHT SHINES IN HER AS WELL. MY CALLS ARE ALWAYS RETURNED, AND ON OCCASION WHEN I EXPECT TO HEAR FROM THE STAFF, I AM SURPRISE TO HEAR DR. OBEY'S VOICE. THOSE OF YOU WRITING THESE HORRIBLE RATINGS, HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO. I LOVE HAVING A PHYSICIAN WHO CARES AND KNOWS HER BUSINESS. AUTHENTICALLY DESIGNED BY GOD.

:) Click to report rating *  9/28/09 5 5 5 I am a former nurse at Presby Plano. I love Dr Obey! Excellent physician. Beautiful person & spirit. Patient advocate. The slander of her name comes from a corrupt hospital system that supports corrupt physicians and nurses while attacking good/ethical drs like Dr Obey who are outspoken. However, Dr. Obey is strong and has unshakeable moral character. I read a recent blog and need to put someone on BLAST. It was said that Dr. Obey was rude & all about money. Not so. She is honest & has integrity. A blog encouraged patients to go to Dr. Jen Campbell. You might be interested to know that this group, esp Dr. Garrett Garner, sees 40 patient/day, does 3-4 deliveries daily and completes your C-section in 16 minutes flat. This group along with Dr Katrina Walsh also guilty of slandering Dr Obey work with Dr Erin Koster a high risk OB doc who does the ultrasounds for them. She was arrested 4/30/2009 for driving while intoxicated and charged with a DUI. Dr Obey has NEVER used this unethical doc!

:) Click to report rating *  9/21/09 5 5 5 DR. OBEY is the BEST DOCTOR EVER!!!!! I have never meet a doctor that makes you feel like family and takes their time when your in their care. She never guesses, she always runs tests before she tells you what is wrong and if she doesn't know or it's something she can't do then she will send you to any of the other doctor's that she works with that are just as good as she is. She always makes sure you understand what is going on and what she is telling you. She always takes are time when you come in for a visit to make sure she answers all your questions. You know your in good hands and don't have to worry when your in her care. Thanks for being the best doctor I have ever meet Dr. Obey. I would send all my family and friends to her.

:) Click to report rating *  9/19/09 5 5 5 Dr Obey is the creme de Le creme when it comes to docs. I love her personality, her openness, her passion for healthcare and service. She is brilliant and confident. She explains the plan of care thoroughly. Before my hysterectomy she spent 45 mins answering my questions, so I don't believe this person who claims she didn't look at her incision. Dr Obey is not rude. She has a heart of gold, but she is not a push over and I do believe because she is sweet some patients may try to manipulate her and of course they won't succeed. She has strong ethics in medicine and won't compromise them. We've talked about this. That is why I trust her with my life completely and refer everyone to her. She knows what she's doing and is an advocate for you. You want her in your corner. It's ashame that the good doctors are being attacked this way. But, in good ole boy Dallas TX I'm not surprised. Dr Obey gives great healthcare and was name one of the top OB/GYNs 2009 for her quality and ethics FYI!!!

:( Click to report rating *  9/19/09 1 1 1 Rude is an understatement for this person. She does not know how to talk respectfully to her patients. This person performed surgery on me and on my post-op visit she met me at the door with a bad attitude. Why she was acting in such a way stills boggles me. She was so wrapped up in being nasty that she did not even inspect the incision. I had to ask her was she going to look at the area. I was astonished to say the least. She has failed to realize that I was contributing to her salary and she was not contributing to mine. I will never ever use her services again!! Horrible!!!!

:) Click to report rating    9/14/09 5 5 5 Dr. Obay receives an excellent rating from me because she treated us like family. She help me thru a very difficult and high risk pregnancy with twins by consistanly being informative, supportive and caring. Since I'm a first time mom, she was very honest with me. Some people might consider honesty rude, but I prefer the truth. She took her time with me and always made me feel like i was her only patient. She even did a little couseling with my new husband. There wre things i told him that he didnt believe, but Dr. Obay helped to see the light! When i went into labor early, Dr. Obay cancelled her trip to visit her sick mother to be at my side. That is dedication! She could have easily still made her trip and had another on call dr attend to me. Thank you Dr. Obay!

:( Click to report rating    9/9/09 1 1 1 If you're after an extremely rude, condescending, careless and completely unprofessional gynecologist - THIS IS YOUR DR! It took Dr. Obey THREE HOURS to get to hospital for the delivery of our daughter. My wife writhed in pain from contractions while 'Renee' (refuse to call her a Dr.) took her sweet time getting to the hospital. I paged her answering service because the anesthesiologist couldn't start an epidural until Renee showed up. As soon as Renee showed up she threatened that I would be barred from the delivery room for being 'disruptive'. She refused to address me, speak to me or look in my direction during our office visits. I am COMPLETELY amazed at her lack of professionalism. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a professional doctor - it's not worth the hassle when she's the one working for you.

:( Click to report rating    8/2/09 1 2 1 I agree with those who call Dr. Obey the rudest doctor ever. All I can say is stay away from this Doctor. She is in the profession for the wrong reason (Money). She pretends to care but with time she shows her true color. If you want to get good quality medical services (OGBYN) in North Dallas/Plano area, pls. go to Dr. Jen. Campbell at the Plano Presby. Hospital. Thank u.

:| Click to report rating    7/27/09 4 3 2 I have been a patient of Dr. Obey for a couple of years and while she is very direct, she is also very caring and adamant that you participate actively in maintaining your health. The issue that I have now is that because she is so knowledgeable and quite frankly a very good doctor, it has affected her quality of care. She has alot of patients now and as a result, she often seems rushed and very short at the visit. I appreciate that she personally calls to give test results, but it now takes days or so longer to get those results. It is also very difficult to reach her by phone or get a return phone call. All that said, she is still a very good doctor, and it is unfortunate that the increase she has experienced has resulted in decreased quality. The decline in her availability is the only reason I have made the decision to change providers.

:( Click to report rating    7/15/09 3 2 1 While I appreciate that Dr. Obey is knowledgeable, I had the same experience as many others who have commented. She's overbooked, she has talked down to me several times and does not wait until I have finished a question before she answers condescendingly. She diagnosed me with PCOS and told me that if I had any questions I could always call, but when I did, she wouldn't return my calls and basically yelled at me on the phone for attempting to get a hold of her for 5 days. I do not need a dr. who babies me or beats around the bush, but I do need one who respects me and can make me feel somewhat important and comfortable at visits, especially for a gynecologist. I am finding a new doctor.

:| Click to report rating    6/20/09 2 4 2 Dr. Obey became infuriated when I declined a PAP during pregnancy. She lectured my husband & I standing 3" from my face for 5 minutes. When I consented to have it done, and then told her about a pain I was having, she said it might be GB, or heart burn. I tried to clarify and said it didn't feel like heart burn, so she said, "Oh, you're arguing with me now?" She then proceeded to instruct us on the "FATAL" danger of a blocked bile duct, and the stress of her NON-STOP, repetitive lecture brought me to tears. I told her I wished she wouldn't be so angry because I need to have a good relationship with her. (Pregnancy is NOT a time to be yelled at by an OBGYN, esp. for no good reason!!) My husband asked if we could just check the baby and she said, "I tell you what. I don't have to deal with difficult patients. I'm finished with you." She left the room, and gave us no time to find another doctor, no sonogram which we had come for, and I left the office crying in my husband's arms.

:) Click to report rating    6/16/09 5 5 5 I have been a patient of Dr. Obey's for 5 years. She is an EXCELLENT physician. She is highly intelligent and very articulate. Yes, she is very direct which I feel is essential in her field. Her staff has changed a few times and I completely understand why, as she will not accept mediocrity as it pertains to her business and she wants her patients taken care of. I have moved to Georgia but have plans to keep her as my physician, after meeting her, I don't trust anyone else and can't recall having a physician as competent as Dr. Obey.

:) Click to report rating    5/26/09 4 4 5 Dr. Obey is one of the most caring and passionate doctors I have ever experienced. She wants to make a difference and I respect that. She isn't always punctual, but not many OB/GYNs are, since babies don't care about appointments being scheduled, she sometimes has to go deliver a baby! She is thorough and takes her time with patients, and answers questions. I recommend Dr. Obey to my friends and they are very satisfied with her as a physician.

:) Click to report rating    5/19/09 4 4 5 I have been seeing Dr. Obey for 3 years now. she has been wonderful. Everything is explained thoroughly. She answere any questions I have nad has detailed all options of treatment available, before suggesting her choice and why. She is also very direct, there is no confusion. I did ask a lot of questions. She has been punctual, but there was one occasion that I had to wait longer than normal, probably 30 mins or so. Her staff did explain the reason for the delay. Her staff does change a lot, but I am not there to visit the staff, I go for good quality medical care. I have also been able to get an appointment in a timely manner and not haveing to schedule 3 months out. I love the fact that she personally phones with lab results, whether good or bad.

:) Click to report rating    3/16/09 3 4 4 Here is the deal with Dr. Obey... She is one of the most knowledgable doctors in Dallas when it comes to OB/GYN. Bedside manner and personality are not what you pay for in a doc. She can be very direct, very serious... She doesnt b.s. around, nor would I want a doctor that did. She took great care of me, my son and now I am pregnant again and she is bringing another little one into the world for me. She does go through a ton of staff people, but she demands accuracy, effeciency, and professionalism in her people as she demands it in herself. I hope this is helpful to those of you choosing a doc. She is a good person to have on your team.

:) Click to report rating    3/16/09 3 5 5 I was referred to Dr. Obey in 2005 by a workmate and have been seeing her every since! I love her! She is direct but very caring. She always follows up promptly and provides me with detailed information whenever I have questions. Her staff is not always the best but she is an excellent doctor!

:) Click to report rating    2/7/09 5 4 5 I visited Dr Obey last year and thought she was great. After reading all the poor reviews, I wanted to wait until I saw her again in case I had a different experience. I saw Dr Obey again today for my yearly and she was fantastic. Kind and understanding (I was a little uncomfortable b/c I was on my period), she took the time to thoroughly answer any questions I had about new birth control, children and my health. She is a very thorough Dr and will not hesitate to hold you accountable for your own irresponsibilities in your health. If you want an honest, straightforward Dr, she is the one for you. If you'd rather someone coddle and baby you, she is probably not a good choice. I had a terrific experience with her for the 2nd time today and will continue to see her as long as I live in the Dallas area.

:) Click to report rating    1/27/09 4 3 4 Dr. Obey is a wonderful doctor. I was referred to her by a friend and have since referred my friends. She is thorough and knowledgable. Granted, she is blunt, but when you are concerned about your health, wouldn't you prefer a physician that will tell the you truth? I have also been seeing her for 2 yrs and recently visited her office for an exam. She ran a test as a back up measure and followed up with me on a SUNDAY night and after explaining her diagnosis, then immediately called in my RX for pick up that night. She does have a tendency to come across condscending, but I don't think that is her intent. She is just aggressive and wants to give you the best care, but she also expects you to take care of yourself as well. I think, if you let her know her approach intimidates you or makes you uncomfortable, she will probably consider a new approach for handling your care, because she is still a very good doctor. I have not had children yet, but I look forward to her care when I do.

:) Click to report rating    12/31/08 5 5 5 DR OBEY IS WONDERFUL! SHE IS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND HAS A GREAT BEDSIDE MANNER. SHE IS VERY HONEST AND CARING. SHE TELLS YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO HEAR, NOT NECESSARILY WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR. SHE IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOU AS YOUR DOCTOR. I LOVE THAT ABOUT HER! I HAVE NEVER HAD A DOCTOR WHO HAS SPENT AS MUCH TIME AS DR OBEY HAS EDUCATING ME. THAT IS GREAT. SHE IS VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT PROVIDING TOP-NOTCH HEALTHCARE WHICH IS RARE IN THIS DAY AND AGE. SHE IS DOWN-TO-EARTH AND REAL. SHE IS NOT RUDE AT ALL! THE PEOPLE WHO THINK THAT SHE IS OBVIOUSLY HAVE SOME SERIOUS ISSUES THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE GREAT DOCTOR THAT SHE IS. SHE CAN'T FIX WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE MEAN AND SPITEFUL PEOPLE ON THIS EARTH. THANK YOU DR OBEY FOR ALL THAT YOU ARE AND ALL THAT YOU DO! YOU ARE DEFINITELY MAKING A DIFFERENCE! PLEASE DON'T CHANGE WHO YOU ARE. YOU ARE BRILLIANT AND BEAUTIFUL :) YOU ARE DEFINITELY AN A+ DOC!!!

:( Click to report rating    12/17/08 1 2 1 she over books her staff and herself. she never has the same people to help her. i dont know how her staff even works there with the women. she is rude and being blunt IS rude i don't care who you are. when we had asked her questions she pretty much told us that we were irresponsible and that my wife was retarded and didn't deserve to live. she also made her take a "important" test that when my wife vomited because the nurse couldn't get my wife blood Dr. Obey told them to screw the test because "it's taking to long" and kicked my wife out of the room for someone else but the test was "IMPORTANT" right. she is by far the worst person in this profession that i have ever met i cant even call her a doctor. she just doesn't care. we cant even get my wifes medical record from them, so when we moved she had to get all the tests done again. It's great to have a doctor who cares about her patients, well at least now we do have one.

:) Click to report rating    12/16/08 4 3 5 I thought Dr. Obey was great. I don't like Dr.s who are timid and beat around the bush; Dr Obey is as blunt as they come, but I definitely wouldn't call her rude. She doesn't allow any excuses for not taking care of yourself and I love it! I'm going back for my second visit in February so we'll see if I still feel the same :)

:( Click to report rating    12/5/08 1 1 1 She does talk down on you and wasn't very helpful or informative. I didn't notice it until I had to explain to another doctor what she said to me. I felt stupid when the doctor said it didnt make sense. She was not on time to my surgery and now i'm not sure I even needed that surgery. According to her I had a cist in my uterus and the new dr. tells me that is impossible. Then she couldn't diagnos me properly and ended up giving me a biopsy and still wasn't able to diagnos me properly. She was rude at my appts but seemed nice at my surgery. Perhaps because I was under medication. I will never go to Dr. obey again. I'm sorry if I offend anyone who is satisfied with her practice, this is simply my opinion

:( Click to report rating    6/10/08 1 1 1 She is one of the worst doctors that I have ever gone to she is rude and talks down to you. This is my first baby and I don't know a lot and when I ask questions, she talks to me like I am stupid. You have to wait forever and she has canceled 2 of my appointments. She also is very short with her staff and yells at them right in front of you. I would not recommend this doctor.

:) Click to report rating    10/20/06 4 5 Doctor Obey is wonderful! I have been seeing her for 2 years and she has only been late for one appointment (due to an emergency surgery) She doesn't have a rude bone in her body! She is very knowledgeable and takes her time to explain anything your curious or interested about. I would also like to add that since her practice is still growing you can get into the office very quickly. I have had 2 "emergencies" where I needed to get in that day and she took care of me, which I think is an A+. So overal I would have to say that the previous person has no idea what they are talking about. You will not be disappointed with Dr. Obey!!
