I HAD SEEN SO MANY DIFFERENT DOCTORS OVER THE LAST 5 YRS DUE TO FIBROIDS. ALL SAID I HAD NO HOPE FIBROID CAUSED TO MUCH DAMAGE AND WERE EVERY WHERE AND I HAD TO HAVE A HYSTERCOMEY. I HAD NO CHILDREN AND WAS DEVASTED AT THE NEWS. A FRIEND OF MINE TOLD ME ABOUT DR. ASCHER WALSCH AND FROM THE MOMENT I STEPPED IN THE DOOR I KNEW IT WOULD BE DIFFERENT. HE WAS THE FIRST DOC TO ASK ME QUESTIONS AND LISTEN TO ME.. ALL OF THE OTHER DOCS I HAD JUST TALKED DOWN TO ME BECAUSE I WAS YOUNG. DR.WALSH ASKED ME WHAT WAS MY GOAL I TOLD HIM TO LIVE ( I HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS DUE TO FIBROIDS KIDNEY ISSUES AND ANEMIA) AND TO BE A MOM.. HE EXAMINED ME LOOKED AT MY ISSUES AND SAID HE WOULD SAVE MY UTERUS AND TAKE OUT THE FIBROIDS.I HAD MY SURGERY RECENTLY AND HE TOOK OUT ALL 47 FIBROIDS AND HE GAVE ME MY LIFE BACK. I TRULY THANK HIM FOR ALL HE HAS DONE FOR ME I AM SO GREATFUL TO HAVE HIM AS A DOC.

I don't like the idea of "ratemymd", an anonymous forum for people to leave comments about their doctors, but nonetheless I felt compelled to do so because I really don't know what I would do if I didn't have Dr. Ascher-Walsh as my physician. Of course I will end up duplicating other responses, but he is really an extremely skilled and warm doctor. He got me through fibroid surgery with no pain. Literally! I was sent home with a pain prescription and never took a single pill. Not only that I had no complications or any trouble at all. I really feel so fortunate to have found him.

Dr. Ascher-Walsh is an amazing doctor!! He treats you with respect and care and after providing you with his knowledge and opinion, allows you to make the decision for surgery. I have been his patient for 3 years and we finally decided together that it was time.I had an open-myomectomy 2 weeks ago and it went better than I ever imagined. I am so grateful to have found him(I met with at least 3 or 4 doctors over the years). It was a great feeling to have confidence going into surgery knowing that I was in skilled hands. You can be sure he will not perform a surgery he doesn't feel is necessary. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ascher Walsh without any reservation- all of the comments praising him are true.

Dr. Ascher-Waslh removed my fibroids, endometrosis and a large cyst in my ovary. He did it Lap. My surgery did turn into 4 hours. His skills handled the situation just fine. He is amazing. He always called me back when I had a question. He is a true Gentleman!

He is a very professional, knowledgeable, nice, patient, and compassionate doctor. I suffered with gynecological problems for many years, and I was unable to find the right doctor that I could trust to deliver the appropriate care. There was a time when I had given up hope, and decided that I was going to have to live with my problem until menopause. One day, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, and I decided to do some research on OB/GYN doctors. Thank God, I was lucky enough to find out about Dr. Ascher-Walsh. I recently had surgery, and I am very pleased with the outcome. I HIGHLY recommend this doctor to any woman who is looking for an OB/GYN doctor. He is a great doctor with a wonderful personality. He is truly the best!

Everything you read below re: Dr. Ascher-Walsh is 100% correct. He is a fantastic doctor, & compassionate. Due to large fibroids, I was told I needed a hysterectomy & began researching options(UAE, MRIgFUS). None were good for me & I was told I needed an old fashion hysterectomy. The dr. I was going to use(reviews were few & mixed)never returned my call. Not cool. I began searching the internet again, & read about laprascopic hysterectomy. I found Dr. Ascher-Walsh & had a consultation. Dr. A-Walsh definitely listens to you, gives you options; doesn’t push anything on you; lets you think about everything; you make your own decision. Although I was nervous & didn’t want surgery we scheduled a date. Everything went smoothly. Do your research. Many of the doctors I consulted with were too quick & slick to get you into their office. I thank g-d everyday how lucky I was to come across Dr. Ascher-Walsh; I recommend him to everyone… he is one doctor who definitely deserves “kudos”

I was told I needed to have a hysterectomy and came to NY looking for a great laprascopic surgeon. I found out about this DR accidentaly while researching firoids on the internet, and ended up in a chatroom about robotic assisted laprascopic myomectomys. I checked him out on RateMD and thought the reviews were great and I decided to go see him. He was absolutely wonderful. He listens, is very patient, answers all your questions, is extremely experienced with laprascopic surgery, and makes you feel like you are his only patient. I had my surgery last week and felt very comfortable with my decision to use him. The surgery went very well. I would recommend him to everyone I know. I wish all my Doctors were like Dr Ascher-Walsh.

I would highly recommend Dr. Ascher-Walsh. I came to him for a second opinion and went with him due to his bedside manners and knowledge. I felt that he gave me his time and attention, and truly listened to what I had to say. I just had the surgery, which was very successful, was minimally invasive and did not cause me any discomfort post surgery. I did not feel like just another number in a factory environment. I actually felt like a catered Patient. I am very happy with Dr. Ascher-Walsh's Service, Knowledge, Experience and Staff. He definitely makes you feel important, is very informative, doesn't rush you like a clock watcher, and definitely gives you his time of day!

I just recently had my fibroids removed for the second time and he was AMAZING!!! He is the BEST doctor I have ever had. Great bed side manners. My recovery was quick with minimal pain. I would recommend him to anyone thinking about having their fibroids removed. I wish I knew him 11 years ago when I had this procedure done the first time which was awful. He takes his time with you and make you feel comfortable.
