30/11/13 5 5 5 5 Dr Y reconstructed my breast in 1996 after a mastectomy. The procedure I had required using tissue from my abdomen, therefore I also ended up with with a "tummy tuck". He did an amazing job that still looks good after almost 18 years. Initially I thought his bedside manner was terrible (he was yawning during our conversation the first time I met with him like I was the most boring patient in the world) but I still chose him over three others to do my surgery after a consultation with each of them, even though they were all more personable. I read other posts that described Dr Y as egotistical, but my sense then was that there was an intensity about him and my gut feeling was that he was more invested in a great outcome than making friends. My nephew, a doc from L.A. Came with me on my next meeting with Dr Y & my nephew confirmed my gut feeling that Dr Y should do my surgery. I did ask him to get lots of sleep the night before my surgery (no yawning) and he did crack a smile.  Respond

07/10/13 5 5 5 5 This is a very good doctor with just the right number of years of experience. If you are concerned about competence and don't know what pastic surgeon to go to, chose this one. I have been going to him for 7 years and I have had no problems. My seven- year history puts me in a position to judge his ability, and he is just a very good doctor. I would not hestitate to use him as my doctor and would recommend him without reservation. I would ignore the post by that other user on 11/22/11. In fact, this user may be thinking about a different doctor/or have the wrong doctor in mind. To illustrate my point, many of the nurses who work at the hospital Dr. Yaremchuk is affilated with compliment his work stating that he does a great job with closing up facial wounds.  Respond

26/11/11 5 5 5 5 I have had several procedures with Dr Yaremchuk (facelift, upper bleph, IOR's) and find his work exceptional and extremely natural looking. I have also found him to be extremely caring and responsive to questions and concerns. After a recent survery I was concerned about how I was healing and he immediately made time to see me off hours on a holiday weekend. Everything was fine and knowing he cared that much about his patients and his work made me an even bigger fan. He is a true professional and an extremely talented surgeon.  Respond

22/01/11 5 5 5 5 Dr. Y performed a blepharoplasty (both upper and lower eyes), a facelift and necklift for me a month ago. The results are amazing. He is an extremely skilled surgeon. His staff (especially Jan) is extremely knowledgeable and are always available when he is not to answer any questions. I cannot believe how perfect the results are. It is great to look at least 20 years younger! His fees were half of the other surgeon I consulted with for a second opinion. This is one of the best decisions that I have ever made in my life. The first week after the surgery is difficult; however, after that, the recovery is fairly quick. I was back to work full time after 10 days. Just follow his and his staff's advice during recovery and you won't regret your decision.

21/01/11 5 5 5 5 Dr. Y did a face & neck lift for me with amazing and very natural looking results. I still look like me, just younger and better. He is both a brilliant surgeon and talented artist. I found him to set very factual and realistic expectations, and he took the time to answer all my questions. I was nervous about the whole process, but cannot imagine things going more smoothly. I'm thrilled I went through with it and would absolutely recommend him without hesitation.  Respond

28/12/10 5 5 5 5 Dr. Yaremachuk is an excellent surgeon. He preformed surgery on me for a browlift and breast impalnts. There was nver a moment of feeling anxiuos when I was in his hands. Others have stated he has a large ego they are mistaking confidence as an ego. He has been rated as one of the top 10 plastic surgeons on more than one occasion in Boston magazine.

28/06/10 5 5 5 5 Unfortunately I've had some bad experiences with plastic surgeons. Dr. Y is an artist. He has techniques at solving problems that other doctors don't. If it's not exactly what you wanted he will go the extra mile to give you just what you want. Not to mention he's just an awesome guy. I seriously can't imagine any surgeon being better. Cosmetic surgery is a really delicate thing to mess with and you're not going find anyone better. He seriously changed my life.  Respond

22/06/10 4 1 1 2 Terrible bedside manner. No compassion. Huge ego. VERY sarcastic and demeaning. I don't care if his work is impeccable, I deserve to be treated with respect and for my questions to be answered. Will never return.  Respond

08/05/10 5 4 5 5 Dr. Y is one of the best doctors out there...and when people say he's caring - that's the truth. He really is. Lord knows I was not the easiest of patients...I worry. As a result I emailed him countless times and he always wrote me back quickly and factually. When I had concerns over how I was healing he always made time to see me...even if it was last-minute so that I could swing by his office or the hospital he works at - just to assuage my fears - which to me, is extremely professional and obliging. His bedside manner is exquisite. A person can tell when someone truly cares about people and he does. How can you not read that on someone's face? I'd absolutely recommend him to any of my friends and family, and would see him again for any future procedures I might want. Also, the work he does is very natural in appearance; subtle yet transformative. And he does not try to sell you on procedures - if anything he tried his darndest to talk me out of surgery!  Respond

10/04/10 5 5 5 5 I am delighted with the outcome of the surgery I had with Dr. Yaremchuk to say the least. He augmented my jaw and cheeks with implants. I always wanted to have a more masculine jaw and that is exactly what I have after my surgery. Dr. Yaremchuk checked on me personally after surgery and answered all my questions during the recovery. Would I do it again: yes! I received many compliments after my surgery.  Respond

12/09/09 5 5 5 5 I'm a male in my 20s and I had gotten a prevous, 1-piece silicone chin implant by Dr. Barry Davidson in Boston, that of which later became mobilized; furthermore, I visited Mike for both revisional and cosmetic reasons. When viewing his website online, I noticed that he had a pretty good mandible implants tab, so I decided that I was *interested* in both chin and jaw surgery, but not necessarily having committed yet to the latter. At the consultation, he showed me his 2-piece, TFE (not silicone) implant design styles and assured me of immobilization via Ti screw-fixation. I realized at this point that he was a way better surgeon than Davidson, both with regards to education and technique. It's one thing to merely hear/read about someone's education/experience, but it's a whole other to actually HAVE BEEN OPERATED ON BY THEM. I got chin, mandibular body and angle implants by Mike. I went from looking like a boy to an NFL player. This has completely changed my life. I'm just different.

28/03/09 5 5 5 5 Dr. Yarmechuk performed multiple procedures on my face to correct orthognathic irregularities that had plagued me for years. His work is amazing and I am so happy with the results. I look very much like "myself" - but a vastly improved version. I have had many PS consultations over the years - but Dr. Y is the only one who truly knew how to help me. I don'tt understand the criticism of his "bedside manner". He is direct & to the point - but respectful and kind. He is a perfectionist - studying a face very carefully for several minutes. Other doctors I have consulted with barely looked at me before telling me which procedures they would recommend. He is informative, explaining the procedures thoroughly and realistically. Personally, I appreciate that kind of scrutiny and honesty. His staff is wonderful, facility top-notch, my care was excellent in every way. Simply put - I trust his technical expertise, innovation and aesthetic sense implicitly - his work is extraordinary.  See Responses

05/03/09 5 4 3 5 While incredibly skilled, Dr. Yaremchuk's bed side manner leaves something to be desired. A simple greeting of hello might be nice, answering my simple questions (e.g. what is the recovery time) would also be a plus.

23/09/08 2 3 2 4 Doctor Yaremchuk preformed a reconstruction on me which turned out to be square in shape. The harvest sight was an after thought, leaving a very large dogeared flaps on my midsection. And his bedside manner is not desirable. I was young and had trouble coping with his large ego. From reading prior ratings sounds like he is more talented with the facial reconstruction.- thank god.

17/08/08 5 5 5 5 Dr. Yaremchuk is the most skillful, caring, and kindest man of his profession. He goes beyong the call of duty in many different ways. I cannot thank him enough for what he's done for me. After my prior doctor's totally disastrous attempts to correct his own mistakes, Dr. Yarmechuk literally saved my disfigured eyes and face. Every time I look in the mirror I thank God that I found him when thought it was hopeless. No "done" appearance, just the normal me. Highest recommendation.

21/03/07 5 5 5 He is an amazing surgeon. I needed reconstructive surgery after having extensive skin cancer removed from my face and was told he was the best. It took a number of surgeries but the end result is that the scar is almost invisible now. I never would have thought it was possible. Highly recommended.

20/09/06 5 5 5 I found Dr. Yaremchuk to be a very good doctor. He performed 3 surgeries on the bottom of my left foot to remove a lesion. His work was fantastic, I walk with no problems; this was something I was warned about from other physicians. I was his patient for almost a year and a half for this process and he showed consistent great care over this time.

30/01/06 5 5 5 The best!I had a malignant tumor on my face. He excised it and did a skin graft. It is healing well and Dr. Y's followup care is outstanding. The malignancy was on my cheek in a very noticable spot.vI think very few doctors could have obtained such a marvelous result. His expertise is superb and you would be lucky to have him as your doctor.
