5/5/13 3 3 2 3 While pregnant, I had to call after-hours twice due to pain. Both times were a few months apart, and she ended up being the on-call doctor. Both times she was very unhelpful. She acted like she was in a big hurry and didn't really want to talk to me. The first time, I was only 13 weeks and she waited 30 minutes or longer to call me back while I was crying and couldn't walk from the pain (ended up being maternal hydronephrosis, I had it for weeks, she told me it was round ligament pain). The second time, I was 37 weeks pregnant and having contractions 2-3 minutes apart, which she said was "normal" and unless I was in serious pain, not to come in. I ended up being fine, but the part that really sealed the deal was when she asked me if I was a first-time mom (she asked this during first call as well btw, that's when she really got in a hurry to end convo). I said yes and she laughed and said "Well then you don't know what childbirth is like. It hurts." ...really? Will not ever use her!!!!  Respond

5/25/12 2 2 5 5 I have used Dr. Rainwater for the past 6 years for OB and GYN services. She, and she alone is the only reason I keep going back. Her office staff is usually frazzled, and in 2 instances completely rude/mean. Dr. Rainwater is a very busy doctor so the wait time is usually in excess of one hour, with occasional waits in the 2 hour range. On the flip side, Dr. Rainwater herself is personable, knowlegeble, empathetic, and intelligent. When you actually make it into the exam room (or labor and delivery) you will be well cared for. So, I give her staff and wait time a D+ and the doctor an A.

9/21/11 5 2 4 5 Very friendly and personable Ob and staff. Seemed knowledgeable and skilled. Waiting time was consistently quite long in my experience (usually 45-75 minutes after my appointment to see the Doctor). I would recommend her as long as you are looking for the typical medical model of labor and delivery (i.e., induction within a few days of due date, epidurals, catheters, breaking waters, being stuck in prone position, use of forceps, etc.). If you are at all considering more natural options for childbirth, I would recommend looking further.

1/23/11 5 4 5 5 I saw Dr. Rainwater for a regular gynecological appointment but also as an OB because my husband and I plan on having kids soon. I had to wait in the waiting room a while but that was my fault because my appointment was 10:00 and I got there right before 10 not realizing that I would have a mountain of paperwork to fill out since it was my first time with her.. other then that wait was not too bad. My nurse Sandy was wonderful, so sweet and caring, made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Rainwater was amazing! She talked to me almost like I was a friend, which I thought would be weird but actually put me at ease since there was no awkward silence. She answered all my questions and talked to me for quite a while about switching birth control even though she had more patients to get to. I left a very happy person having almost enjoyed my experience however weird that sounds, and when I called a few weeks later they always got back quickly! I am so happy I found such a great OB/GYN!!

8/26/10 5 5 5 5 Dr. Rainwater is awesome! I had 2 miscarriages before delivering a healthy baby. She walked with me through all of my problems and was very caring and did all she could to help me overcome my fertility problems. I feel she really cares about all of her patients. I never had a time when I didn't feel like I had my concerns taken care of. Her medical knowledge and expertise was also outstanding. I had my easiest delivery of my 3 children with her assistance! Totally recommend her!

2/25/10 5 4 5 5 I have seen Dr. Rainwater for five years for routine gynecological care. I delivered my first baby in February 2010. Throughout my pregnancy she was very helpful in answering questions that my husband or myself had. She truly cares for her patients. During labor she came to my room three times to check on my progress, which is normally something only the nurses do. (I've heard of doctors arriving just in time to deliver, then leaving quickly after the birth.) Dr. Rainwater made sure I was comfortable after my epidural and was in contact several times with the nursing staff via telephone. After delivery Dr. Rainwater took time to pose for a picture with my new baby. She was very encouraging and supportive throughout my prenatal care as well as labor and delivery. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring OBGYN.

8/14/09 4 3 2 1 I was in labor and delivery on april of 2004, and she was the doctor on duty. She came in and gave me an epiduaral, which I did not sign any paper work for one. And the medicine to the epiduaral went up instead of where it was supposed to go. Dropping my blood pressure 50/20 needless to say I almost died, because of the doctor, check background before you find a doctor

10/15/08 5 3 5 5 Dr. Rainwater is just what I hoped for in an OB/GYN. Besides a long, long, wait time at the office, everything else was very appropriate. Even though she was obviously very busy and running behind, she came in, introduced herself, and proceeded through the appt as if she had all the time in the world. This made me feel like waiting was worth it. She is very encouraging, supportive, and made sure that all of my questions were answered before I left. I will continue to see her for my OB/GYN needs, and would refer her to others.
