8/22/11 5 5 5 5 I've been receiving counseling from Dr. Teachout for a while now and I could not ask for a better counselor. At the lowest moments of life due to circumstances and sudden curveballs, Dr. Teachout has helped to keep a good positive rational outlook. Dr. Teachout is also very good with children. My child trusts "Dr. T" and has opened up with him which is a small miracle for a parent with a teenage child struggling to get through the most critical years of their academic career. We've learned alot from Dr. Teachout and we utilize the recommendations he's made which have made a world of difference. His office is convieniently located and his hours are very accomodating. Just stepping into his office a soothing experience because of the comfortable ambience. Not your typical doctors office. Dr. T's office is very warm and comforting. I found his billing staff to be helpful and extremely efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Teachout to everyone and anyone.

2/10/11 2 5 2 4 Maybe it just wasn't a good fit, but I did not find my sessions with Dr. Teachout to be helpful. I needed short-term disability paperwork filled out. He spent the last part of our session repeating himself about how he'd get it done. He then charged me about $65 for what I know was about five minutes of work. I cancelled one appointment a day and a half in advance. I'd never cancelled before. I received a bill for $180 for the missed appointment. The woman who does his billing said this was not an usual practice, and acted like she was doing me a huge favor by reducing it to $50. She stated that I should have known the policy. Again, Dr. Teachout may be a great therapist for others- he's knowledgeable and has a gentle demeanor- but I did not like my experience with him.
