:) Click to report rating *  2/25/10 5 5 5 I just can't say enough about how fantastic Dr. Laurusonis is. Dr. Laurusonis is now my primary care physican. I really enjoy going to Dr. Laurusonis' practice. He takes excellent care of me and my family. What I do find disappointing is that is seems patients are so quick to write negative reviews about physicans rather than praising them. It seems that when a doctor won't presribe medication that a patients requests then he or she is bad doctor or if the patient disagrees with the doctor on the doagnosis, then the doctor is a bad doctor. Not every doctor is going to see eye to eye with their patients, that is why I think patients should find doctors that match their personality. But the patient should not bad mouth these doctors just because they disagree. Thank you Dr. Laurusonis for all of your time and thoroughness with me and my family.

:) Click to report rating *  2/7/10 5 5 5 It's hard to find a good doctor these days. I saw Dr. Laurusonis at Doctors Medical Center. I had been suffering from anxiety, depression and insomnia from financial problems. A friend of mine had recommended Dr. Laurusonis. A bit nervous about discussing my condition, Dr. Laurusonis made me feel comfortable and very relaxed, probably the most relaxed I'd felt in months. He did some blood work to make sure I did not have any medical issues going on. We discussed several treatments options. Seeing Dr. Laurusonis reassured my faith in the medical profession. I am starting to feel better. I really recommend Dr. Laurusonis. He and his staff are very friendly and also my wait time was not very long either. Thank you Dr. Laurusonis

:(      2/2/10 1 1 1 I went in to see this doctor because I was told he would be able to help me refill my antianxiety medication. I spoke to him and her seemed to completely understand what I was going through. I was with Kaiser and my insurance is lapsing for one month so I had to see another doctor to try to get back on my medicine until I can see my regular doctor. "Oh, of course we can take care of you, I completely understand". Now, you need to have another $300 test that you had six months ago before I can prescrible you your Celexa. Just five minutes before he told me he was writing my prescription. I told him I couldn't afford it and he preceded to tell me he had to or else I was out of luck. I went outside and called my husband on the phone crying and they preceded to call the police and say I was arguing loudly in the parking lot with my daughter. My daughter is 17 months old. I just looked up this "doctor" online and found he was indicted two years ago for holding a patient hostage.

:) Click to report rating    12/18/09 5 5 5 I took my 2 ½ year old son to Doctors Medical Center on a Saturday.. My son had a very high rectal temperature.. They saw him immediately. The dr and nurse were very quick assessing him. He had a double ear infection. He had to have 2 shots. The nurse was quick, my son did not even cry after receiving the shots. Dr. Laurusonis watched him and had his temp down in less than an hour. I was so impressed with the care my son received.I spent 1 1/2 there, which was shocking since most urgent care centers can be just as long as the ER. About a year ago, the same thing happened with my son & I took him to the ER. I was one of 2 waiting in the ER & spent 4 hrs at the ER. I took my son to his pediatrician the next day & the pediatrician said my son was on the wrong med and the ER dr also wrote the prescription out for an adult dosage, which thankfully the Pharmacist caught the error. I will definitely go back to Doctors Medical Center. This place is top notch! Thank you Doctors Medical Center

:) Click to report rating *  10/27/09 5 5 5 This is a fantastic doctor. In fact,I was shocked to see some of the negative reviews. I came to Doctor's medical center thinking that I had sprained wrist. My wait time in the waiting room was minimal and I received prompt medical care from the doctor and his staff. My wrist was actually broken. All charges were explained in detail and a follow up visit was scheduled. While at the follow up visit, I mentioned some back issues that I'd been having for a while. He did some xrays and referred me out for further tests. As it turned out, previous procedures that I had on my back hindered and not helped. He referred me to a neurolgist and took the time to send all necessary paperwork. This doctor and his staff are extremly professional and kind. Americans truly have no idea how great we have it here in America with medical care and they abuse it. I've received medical care abroad and we have it made here. Doctors Medical Center is mine and my family's primary choice for medical care.

:) Click to report rating    10/18/09 5 4 5 I went to this doctor, since I could not get into the dentist right away for a tooth infection after i had my wisdom teeth removed. I was given an injection(pain and antibiotics) and some oral medication. I felt much better, I was actually able to sleep without waking up due to pain every 20 minutes. Very helpful and made me feel much better.

:) Click to report rating *  12/3/08 5 5 5 I have been a patient of Dr. Laurusonis for six years. I was in his office and noticed he had put up pictures of patients that hed the dermabrasion done on their face and neck. I inquired and he explained the procedure to me. We talked about it a couple of times, mainly because I wanted it done on my face and neck but I was scared. Doc drew me pictures for my layers of skin and told me how far he would have to go down.He was very diligent on how I would feel before, during, and after. It's wasn't as painful as I expected: it was uncomfortable for about a week, but as the days passed I was so amazed on how my face and neck were changing. I had so many son spots on my face and they were disappearing before my eyes. Since the treatment I have got so many compliments on my skin. I've been told many times how smooth it looked, and actually let some people touch my face to feel the smoothness. I actually have people tell me I look 10-12 years younger. I love the results. Great Job

:) Click to report rating    6/1/08 5 5 4 Most of the time doctors just want to come in diagnose you and walk out so they can see someone else and make more money. I had to wait a little while (like 15 minutes) once I got in the room, but when he came in there with me I realized it was because he spends so much time with his patients. He is so helpful and takes his time in explaining to you how you will feel once he starts treating you, and exactly what is wrong with you. I just had gotten so tired of all doctors not caring about my sickness or explaining to me why or how it is happening. He finally restored my faith that some doctors do this because they want to help people and make a difference in the world.

:) Click to report rating    5/12/08 5 5 5 I went to Dr. Laurusonis with very little expectations. Every doctor I have ever seen is in such a hurry to get out of the room and see someone else I am never given the time to think about what has been said and if I have any questions. I have been battling with some certain diseases for a while now and so I see a lot of doctors. When I went to Doctors Medical Center, I was given ample time to think about what the diagnosis was and to ask questions. The funny part is that now that I had the opportunity to do that, I had no questions. He is so good at talking about conditions and so educated that he goes over every question I would have had before I even think to ask it. I love this about him. I will keep going there so I won't be more confused coming out of the office than I was going into the office.

:) Click to report rating    5/2/08 5 4 5 I have been a patient at this office for a number of yrs coming in about every 4 months. I'm a doctor myself. A number of other doctors, their families as well as my own frequent this office. It's clean and Dr. Laurusonis runs a tight ship with his staff. He holds them to high standards--if they do not meet these, they are gone--I've seen it myself. I work for a large hospital and do not see the quality control in my own hospital and care this doctor gives his patients. I will continue to send my family and return to see him myself for care. I have no hesitation in referring anyone to this fine physician and practice.

:) Click to report rating    4/30/08 5 4 5 I went to this office with a hurt ankle and did not know what to expect. The doctor was very knowledgable and helpful. They did X rays right there in the office so I did not have to go somewhere else. I was no longer in pain when I left and I did not have to go to the pharmacy because everything I needed was right there. I was short on money, but I let them know in advance how much I had and was informed of the cost of tests as soon as I asked. They submitted the claim with my insurance and I got most of my $900 back. I still had a deductible so that money was not returned as always. The staff was very kind and understanding of my needs.

:(      3/1/08 1 1 1 This is a warning to whoever checks this website before choosing a doctor. I truly wish I would have done the proper research before deciding to go Dr. Laurusonis. It has been several months since my experience with Dr. Laurusonis, and let's just say that I am still dealing with the injustice that he has caused me and my family. I beg of you to BEWARE before going to this doctor. Doctors Medical Center has created an ongoing scam to take advantage of the sick. Please stay posted to this website because I will post more, and will eventually post a website where you can go to read about the specific facts of my situation.

:) Click to report rating    1/15/08 5 5 5 I am 59 years old, and experiencing the normal aging process of sagging jowl, chin area & nose. I had gone for consultation's, to 3 plastic surgeons, as well as the well-known "Lifestyle Lift" folks. Every Doctor told me I needed a face lift, chin lift, liposuction of excess, sagging chin fat, etc. etc. The Lifestyle Lift seemed like the best choice at the time but because I take a blood thinner I was excluded from the procedure. Next, I saw an ad for Doctor's Medical Center and Laser treatments for signs of aging. I called and went in for a consult. Dr. Laurusonis explained every possible detail about various Laser treatments available, as well as other treatment options. He and his staff answered all my many questions. Two weeks later I decided that I didn't want to be cut and Laser was the choice for me. After two treatsments on my sagging neck, chin and "jowl" area. I am so very happy with the results...and I did not need surgery! Thank you Dr. Laurusonis & Staff you were great!

:) Click to report rating    1/9/08 4 3 5 Was so thankful to find an office open around the holidays -my doctor was out of town on vaca. This place was open with a whole staff. I brought my son in. I told a woman at the front that we didn't have insurance, told her the reason we came there, and she told me the prices. We sat in the waiting room, it was busy I guess because of the holidays. I was just glad they were open. We were called in the back then, and a nice lady who was a nurse I think asked why we were there and took weight, temperture, etc. I would rather not say why we were there for private reasons. After writing on a chart for him, she put both of us in a room to wait for the doctor. When Dr. Laurusonis came to the room, he read the chart, said who he was, moved fast, seemed to really know what he was doing, and even made my son laugh. After he gave a diagnosis he said the staff would finish up and check us out. They called 2 days later to check up and my son's condition cleared. They all got the job done.

:(      7/24/07 2 2 1 My advise is to stay very far away from this practice. Dr. Laurusonis came across as very unprofessional and at times we felt as he was yelling. I can understand how children would be terrified of him. He diagnosed my wife as having a broken leg and told her to stay in an air cast for 6 weeks. Three days later two other doctor could find no indication of a fracture, only a very minor sprain. She was almost completely recovered within less than a week.

:) Click to report rating    4/2/07 3 5 This is the first doctor in Georgia who actually talks to me and the first to flat out give me a diagnosis. Most doctors seem afraid to say anything--may they're afraid of being sued or something. He's really outspoken, but he just wants to get the point across. He's a good doctor, but he would also be an even better teacher. Anyway, I left the office with answers for once in my life, gave them my BCBSGA card, they submitted it for me, explained that I had to pay up front, and whatever my insurance reimbursed me--that's what I would get back. There were no secrets. Plain, simple words. That day in the office, that's all I wanted to here. No mumbo jumbo. Just plain words. I wanted answers, medicine, to be treated, and I was. I left with answers and didn't feel ripped off. I don't need someone stroking my hand, looking cute in a lab coat, or whatever when I feel like crap. I just want to get better!. And I did!!

:(      4/26/06 1 1 Nobody was in the waiting area as is allways when I go to this Docters Medical Center! The wait in the waiting room with nobody there is usually 30 minutes. When I reach the exam room it usually is 30 minutes to an hour or more. Then the following Dr. Laurusonis does not pay attention to what you are are telling him pertaining to your problem/situation. As he walked out in the middle of the explaination/ailment, I have had for the past three years. I Have also been trying to get a medicaid refferal from this very same docter for 5 months now to get an appointment with a specialist, But he blatently told me he would not make a call to the docters office, So I have to wait for a Medicaid refferal to be seen, because he does not listen or comunicate well enough to write the refferral out correctly, So I can get the appointment with the other docter. A Simple two line, 1 pg. paperwork & refferals are to complicated for this office or maybe it's Insurance discrimination. Not easy to talk to
