I've seen Dr. Aaron a few times and she's always been very rushed and made me feel uncomfortable. She made no effort to answer my questions or reassure me. I went in today for a very painful procedure. I screamed when she gave me an injection and she had the nerve to yell at me! She said, "No screaming! You can't screem in this office, you'll scare the other patients." I was crying and could not believe how insensitive she was being. To top it all off, she and the nurses kept opening and closing the door while my feet were up in the air and I was exposed. Not a good feeling.

I have been going to her for a few years now (annual checkups), and am surprised to see so many negative comments. She is not really very friendly/warm, but I thought she seemed ok and knowledgeable. I didn't have any problems to talk about, so I can't comment on how she responds to someone having a sensitive problem. I agree that the receptionists and nurses there are not very friendly. The office feels kind of like a hospital environment.

I was with Dr. Aaron for 2 years. While I do think she is knowledgeable, I always felt like she was in a rush. This always concerned me. I want a doctor who takes a vested interest in my health. Her staff was the absolute worst!!! They are very rude and unprofessional. This is not how patients should be treated at all. I finally had enough over the summer and switched OBGYNs.

WOW! I WAS LOOKING ON THIS SITE FOR INFO. ON A NOTHER DOC. AND COULDN'T BELIEVE IT WHEN I SAW HER NAME!! I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS DOC. IN 2000 BEFORE SHE JOINED THE N.Y. OFFICE. SHE USED TO PRACTICE OUT OF A L.I. OFFICE GROUP. I HATED THE GROUP -VERY COLD AND RUSHED. BUT THEN I GOT DR.GILA AARON AND THOUGHT SHE WAS NICE (SEEMED MORE CONCERNED THAN THE OTHER DOCS. THERE)EVERYTHING WAS GREAT UNTIL I WAS GIVING BIRTH. IT WAS MY 1ST CHILD SO DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. AFTER BEING HOME 2-3 DAYS I STARTED HAVING SEVERE BAD CRAMPS/INFECTION- I WENT TO THE BATHROOM AND THOUGHT I WAS MISCARRYING ANOTHER UNDEVELOPED FETUS! WENT TO THE EMERG. ROOM AND WAS TOLD THE DOCTOR HAD NOT REMOVED THE ENTIRE PLACENTA. I WAS SO SICK. NOT TO MENTION, WAS IN PAIN AND THEN HAD TO UNDERGO AN UNCOMFORTABLE DNC PROCEDURE. SHORTLY AFTER THAT SHE WAS EITHER FIRED OR SHE LEFT AND JOINED THE N.Y. OFFICE. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

She was my doctor for me second pregnancy (first also) and if I actually was going to have a 3rd, I would use her again. I think, however, based on my own experience, that she may prefer ob to gyn- which is understandable. That said, I have used her for 7 years and will continue to do so. At times her bedside manner may be brusque but I have complete confidence in her ability as a physician.

omg...I thought I was alone. I have HATED this office for a few years now. And I'm currently dealing with a simple issue of getting my prescription faxed over and it's taken 2 weeks with a horrible attitude staff. They get smart and hang up or just have a general unprofessional attitude all around. And Dr. Aaron-it was fine when all I needed was routine paps, but the minute I came in with a problem that I needed oh maybe 5 extra minutes to talk about, she acted like I was getting on her nerves for taking her away from 'real' patients with babies or something. AND she never helped me. I want to be able to feel comfortable with my doctor and she just treats you like a number. Like she barely looks at you when she's giving you an exam...I think today is my last straw...I'm switching doctors.

I honestly am looking for a new doctor as well. I have several issues with Dr. Aaron: the first thing is that I was offended that she told me to basically hurry up and have kids and I was only 26 at the time! Secondly, I've called with fairly urgent questions and had to wait all day for her to get back to me and when she finally did she gave me a very condescending response as if I should have know the answer already. And thirdly I have been calling her for two days now trying to get a question answered and have not been able to get even a receptionist on the phone, SO FRUSTRATING! If anyone knows of an excellent OB GYN in New York City please let me know. Thanks.

Hands down the most unprofessional staff in New York City. They are rude, unorganized and at times just plain mean! A few of the nurses are nice but the women operating the front desk seem uneducated and lack the sophistication that one would expect in a health care facility. Dr. Aaron always seems to be in a rush and does not like to spend time talking to her patients. When I asked her a question I felt as if she was doing me a favor by giving me a ten second response. Found a new doctor the second I found out I was pregnant.

I think Dr.Aaron was nice person and so are other staffs. However, I did want to go back there for several reasons. 1. The nurse told me that I should not ask her many questions . 2.I had to wait more than 1 hour. 3. A staff made a few mistakes including that she got my name wrong, which was fine, but she blamed on me. 4.Dr.Aaron is so busy that I didn't feel comfortable talking to her. She is always distracted by something.

I had the best experience with Dr. Aaron and look forward to having her as my Obgyn for my second child. She was very accommodating, patient, extremely professional and handled my labor and delivery perfectly. Its been almost a year since I had my baby and I still smile when I think of the day she brought our child into the world! Fantastic Doctor! VERY friendly staff. Especially Sherika (Hope I spelled her name right). Absolutely love her! Itewari

I've read all the reviews about Dr. Aaron and I half to wholeheartedly DISagree... I think she is great; very professional and knowledgeable. Perhaps her bedside manner is something less than desirable but I don't need a doctor that coddles. I had a miscarriage in late December and she was very supportive and helpful. When I need coddling, I go to my own mother. Her staff is wonderful! They're friendly and personable. I'm very glad to be a patient of this office.

This Dr is the worst! I used her for 2 years. I was happy at first and even recommended her. When I had an abnormal pap - she wasn't even concerned and then hurt me when doing the biopsy. She didn't even seem to care when I was crying or the bleeding wouldn't stop. I knew this was not normal. Was told I would get results in a week and when I called to get them I was told it would take another and was hung up on. Lacks compassion and bedside manner! I switched drs as soon as I got results. Do not use this dr!

I was going through something really scary & needed to see a gyno in nyc--a friend recommended dr. aaron & she worked out really well. we sat in her office & went over details, & after the appointment she patiently waited for me to come up with questions and answered them all. personally I appreciate her bedside manner--if I'm going to get emotional at the dr's I'd rather be confronted with an attitude of "you're overreacting: here are the facts, I've seen this a hundred times, you're going to be fine" than be coddled & sympathized with.

Dr. Aaron is clearly knowledgeable, but very uncommunicative and seems to lack any compassion. She is hurried and rushes out of the room before i have time to catch my breath and ask any questions. It's too late in my pregnancy to switch to another doctor, otherwise I happily would. I just hope she is more responsive and caring in the delivery in a few weeks. I would not recommend her to anyone. She obviously has too many patients to handle appropriately as is.

The front desk staff was very unprofessional in their manner and patient service. I had to wait almost an hour when I showed up early for the visit and while I was waiting one of the other doctors came in and was like "Why'd they put you in here? This is my room!" Then she grabbed some items and left. When Dr. Aaron did come in she didn't spend more than a few minutes with me, or let me explain my issues until I put my foot down and told her I had some questions. She was still rushed and I changed doctors right after! She's a nice woman but has obviously no idea on how a professional office should be run.

Although my office visits throughout my first pregnancy were terrible (staff was rude, very rushed, etc.), the delivery more than made up for it. I thought she was amazing throughout my labor & delivery. She respected my wishes of having a vaginal birth, even at the 3rd hour of pushing. I would definitely go to her again.

This was the most nerve-wracking appointment I've ever had (new patient). The office staff were slow and ignored me completely. The doctor didn't spend 2 seconds listening to the problem I'd been having, and I had to jump in during her 3 seconds in the room to get any questions in. A lot of rushing; staff got my name wrong; a nurse nearly spilled my sample; they forgot to take my blood pressure til the end of the visit. Too rushed, too cold, too scary. I need to understand what's being done and why. I won't go back.

Awful doctor. Awful office. Not only did the woman drawing my blood let the needle slip and my blood spurt ALL OVER THE ROOM, the doctor NEVER returns calls before 8pm if that. Not only did NO ONE APOLOGIZE for ripping the veins in my arm, but no one listened to me when I stated my residence changes (I am a college student) in the summer. The next thing I know, I am opening a letter saying their attorneys will contact me about an unpaid bill. Funny how my test results never come in the mail but the threat to sue does. I gave several phone numbers to contact me with and no one called. She is cold, unhelpful, and unpleasant. I am from a family of doctors and she gives doctors a bad name. I will never go back and advise anyone thinking of going there to stay at home and rip your arm open on your own time with your own money.

I had just moved to NYC and didn't have a doctor yet. I called and called around and was finally able to get in with Dr. Aaron. When I told a gyno in my building who I was going to see, she freaked out and told me to cancel. She said Dr. Aaron was crazy and awful. I kept my appointment anyway. I will agree that she is cold and could use some work on her bedside manner. Yet, I'm not there to be friends. She was professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. I just went back last week for my second yearly pap with her. She answered a million questions for me and never made me feel like she couldn't wait to run out the door. One complaint, she did open the door to ask someone a question while I was still in the stirrups. I about died. Also, I have never had to wait long. Both visits I've been seen almost immediately. She has also quickly called in many meds and refils for me over the past year.

I think Dr. Aaron probably needs to read the comments here. I always hated that she's so rushed and already has her foot out the door by the before you open your mouth to ask questions. I'm sure she could be a really good doctor if she just pay enough attention to her patients. If anyone has a good ob/gyn they can recommend, I'll gladly dump her and switch.

I had a good experience with this doctor. I think that the patients who are rushing to post negative comments on this site don't really care about the next person who might be helped by this doctor, they are only looking for quick revenge. Hopefully, the public will realize that out of this doctor's 2000 patients only 22 are unhappy.

I have been a patient of Dr. Aaron's for almost 6 years with no complaints -- except of her office staff. I think that the staff she has in place at the moment is a bit more organized than previous staff. That said, there are still organization and personality issues among staff members that need to be addressed. As far as Dr. Aaron's ability and competency as a physician, I cannot say anything bad. She makes me feel comfortable and answers my questions promptly w/o 'talking down' to me as other physicians are known to do. She is also very good about returning off hour calls. I highly recommend her

This doctor's office staff is awful -- below the norm, even, for the doctors all crammed into that huge building across from Roosevelt Hospital. But there are some very good doctors in there, all with their awful staff assigned to them by some Central Soviet Hospital Agency -- we think Dr. Aaron is one. She has given us good care for several years through some very hard times.

Very busy, too busy if you ask me. I peeked at her patient load and saw she had 90 of us scheduled from 9am to 5pm. How can any one show any care for patients if we are herded in and out this way. Then she left the office to do a delivery and came back in 15 minutes (that poor mother) The staff seem frustrated and tired, could it be from her greed to see so many patients. I only saw her once and changed doctors immediately.

IS CERTAINLY ALWAYS RUSHING, LEAVES THE ROOM WITHOUT YOU EVEN KNOWING YOUR SESSION IS OVER, DOES NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS. NO EYE CONTACT, THE LIST GOES ON!!! UNFORTUNATELY I'M 21 WEEKS PREGNANT AND NO OTHER OBGYN WILL ACCEPT A SWITCH. I AM SOOOO FRUSTRATED! ARROGANT WHEN SHE RESPONDS, ARGUED WITH ME ABOUT MY BEING 12 WEEKS WHEN THE RESULTS FROM THE ULTASOUND CLEARLY SAID SO AND THEN WHEN SHE FINALLY LOOKED AT THE REPORT SHE HAD THE NERVE TO SAY "AHH THATS OKAY.. I found Dr. Aaron to be very friendly, through baby #1 and we are now 4 months into #2. Although she seems a bit rushed, I would blame it on the quality of her office staff--they aren't as on top of things as they should be, leaving her to scramble around more than a doctor really should in a well-managed office. She answers all of our questions and does her best to be sensitive to our time.

Told me she couldn't feel my ovaries, then ran out of room before I could ask any questions. Sent me for a sonogram, I called her several times for results, and she never called me back. I am now leaving a fifth message for her in seven days. Each time I call I am put on hold for 15-30 minutes before the message is taken. I have been going to her for years, and always liked her and thought she was smart, but something has changed. She must be seeing more patients than she can handle becuase the quality of the care has gone way down. If I were pregnant, I wouldn't even consider Dr. Aaron. She's just too hard to get a hold of, and doesn't have time to explain things. OBs need to realize how vulnerable you are when you're in their offices and make an effort not to be so gruff and rush you out.

She is a very cold and indifferent individual. She was not helpful or caring in any way possible. She should not deliver babies or attend births. She seems to be happy to do a cesarean rather than a normal vaginal birth. Is it for the money or is it that vaginal birth is too boring for her? Either way she is not a good option. Think again!
