:( Click to report rating *  2/16/10 1 1 1 I am 44 years old and I have seen alot of Doctors in my days but Dr Romanick has got to be the worst I have ever had in my life. First they make you wait an hour and then sh does not even say she is sorry, She saw 2 patients who had appointments after me and I still had not been seen. She has done nothing for me, she blames your pain on something else because she has no clue what she is doing. Then when you tell her like it is and how disrespectful she is , she puts on you as if you were the problem. I will never go to this lady again , she is not even a Doctor. Then she refused to give me my medical records, well we will see about that. I have the right as a patient to have my records....I am so upset about this lady I would stay clear of her because all she wants is your money and to give you false information so you will go out and spend more money on drugs she prescibes to you.....Horrible she should have her license taken away.

:( Click to report rating *  11/25/09 1 3 1 She was one of the meanest and nastiest doctors that I've ever gone to. I never even got a chance to answer my question, she immediately decided I was faking for some reason and immediately started harassing and taunting me. She is extremely jaded and has a moral superiority complex. I faxed her an article about patients who dream of killing their doctors and she called the police despite a note saying it was not a threat. She is an incredible bully. Her website says "we really want to get to know you", talk about nonsense!!! She made me feel like I was 10 years old. Avoid this woman like the plague.

:( Click to report rating    7/15/09 2 1 1 I've been seeing this doctor for about 3 years now and am completely fed up. I'd think by now, with all the tests we've done, that I'd have a more definitive diagnosis than I currently do. She does nothing for acute pain management & I found myself going to the ER to seek help when a flair up continued to get so painful to the point of not sleeping for almost a week. Her office is constantly delayed by a minimum of 20 minutes, and upwards to 2 hours one time. Never plan to have other appointments the day you visit her as you never know when your actual appointment will be. Sadly this seems to be true for her NPs too. I've been trying multiple times to get my records sent to a new clinic for my ongoing care and this is proving to be difficult as well, at this point my insurance company is getting involved to transfer me out. I give her a 2 on knowledge because the rare times she's had enough time to chat she seems to know her stuff, but doesn't translate that to ongoing care.

:| Click to report rating    5/13/09 2 1 1 I have been a patient of hers for over 10 years. Will never go back. She solicits her patients to write good things about her on this website to contradict the negative things people have written. She charges her patients for a copy of their medical records. She charges her cash paying patients more than patients with insurance. Not happy!

:) Click to report rating    5/3/09 3 1 4 There is always a long wait. My last appointment was very rushed. Dr. Romanick took one look at my bloodwork, made a diagnosis (without any kind of physical exam) and prescribed some pretty serious medications, then left without answering all of my questions. Her front desk staff were RINGING A BELL to tell her her time was up with me! Apparently this was an effort to keep her on time. Well, my appt started late but not due to me; why does my appt get cut short because she ran late?! I had tons of concerns and questions unanswered when I left. I have scheduled an appt with a new doctor to confirm the diagnosis and get my questions answered!

:) Click to report rating    2/6/09 5 5 5 Dr. Romanick was very helpful and supportive. She explored a variety of answers to my problems, some of them simple and inexpensive, which is always welcome. I saw both her and her PA, depending on the reason for the visit. Both types of visits were completely satisfactory. Her staff are helpful and nice. She is punctual, Helpful in the extreme and very knowledgeable.

:| Click to report rating    12/28/08 4 1 2 I like Dr. Romanick and she is knowlegable; however, she sees patients the first time only and follow ups are done by nurse practioner. I am paying for my Dr and I want to see my Dr, not a nurse practioner. I am looking for another Rheumatologist who will treat me and not pass me off to a nurse practioner.

:) Click to report rating *  9/2/08 4 3 5 Dr. Romanick was referred to me by my previous rheumatologist who quit practice for full-time research. I had already been treated by him for 8 years with Fibromyalgia. Dr. Romanick's initial visit was very thorough and lasted over an hour. Luckily I had a battery of blood tests through my naturopath and she accepted them as valid. I also have other health issues and she took the time to involve me with a plan for improving my health. My previous rheumatologist spent less time with me than she does. My plan includes exercise and diet changes. She asked me to return sooner than I expected. When I questioned the frequency, she said she likes to include the patient in their care and wants to hold them accountable for their end of the deal. More frequent follow ups are for that very reason and I can relate. She is also interested in some of the naturopathic treatments I have received and has never been negative about them, even though she is largely a conventional doctor.

:( Click to report rating    6/8/08 3 1 2 Would not recommend... I have waited for over 90 minutes past the appt time, although the usual wait was 60 minutes. I had a severe reaction to a medication, and she told me she thought it was an anxiety attack as she wasn't familiar with this reaction. She then wrote down the name of a more experienced rheumatologist, and walked out in less than 3 minutes. Left me speechless sitting in her office... After I saw the other rheumatologist, who immediately identified the medication reaction, I called her office back. I received a call back from her office telling me to just continue to see the new doctor. I would say she was quite arrogant and not approachable.

:) Click to report rating    6/2/08 5 3 5 My family doctor sent me to see Dr Romanick. I was in so much pain and had so much weakness that I had no quality to my life anymore. I did have to wait for a while but they tell you that up front. Dr Romanick was wonderful!! She spent quite a bit of time with me and showed great compassion for my pain and told me that she was going to help me no matter what. She sent me in for a barrage of blood tests and reported to me the findings, at my next visit, in detail. She prescribed medications and I have my life back. She also explained why the medications worked and how she would treat me in the future with regard to other medications and exercise. I thought that she was very personable, gracious and caring and her nurses are as well. I have recommended her to a dear friend and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

:) Click to report rating    4/20/08 3 1 3 Dr. Romanick is very knowledgeable in traditional knowledge about arthritis and related conditions. She is not knowledgeable regarding alternative methods (to assist not replace) (i.e. supplements, acupuncture, etc.) and therefore cannot give any feedback about these areas. I don’t know where there is communication breakdown but one does exists. My meds were not working and I was taking mass amounts of pain meds to handle. I notified her office twice (over two months) with this information. I had to follow up both times and finally ask to see her. My body was starting to have a problem with the amount of pain meds. By the time I got in, Dr. R was puzzled on why my blood work was so funky…until I told her personally the amount of pain meds I was taking. She was surprised and acted like I should have known better and notified her sooner. So I was in pain for several months and thought she was aware. P.S. Christine is great. And do expect to wait a very long time...

:) Click to report rating    4/16/08 5 2 5 Yes, if you are seeing Dr. Romanick expect to wait, sometimes longer than usual. Remember though, she is a specialist and is very busy. She does take her time with you once you are in the office with her. And she is VERY thourough! I can see where some might find her arrogant, But she is actually very easy going, compassionate and knowledgeable. I like to actively participate in my healthcare and I will research my symptoms and issues before going in and then make suggestions to her, and unlike some dr's I've seen, she is very happy to explain and use any info to help diagnose a problem. I think she is a great Dr. if given the flexibility, and the time. We are still working on my issues, but at least she listens and does not give up easily.

:) Click to report rating    2/7/08 2 1 2 I have never felt the urge to rate a doctor online, but make an exception here. LONG wait (over an hour) with no explanation or apology. While waiting in the exam room, I could hear her trashing another patient with one of her nurses - for about five minutes, while I continued to wait. I felt rushed and did not get all of my questions answered. She clearly knows her stuff regarding auto-immune diseases, but was more prescription focused than determining/fixing the root of the problem.

:) Click to report rating    1/21/08 5 4 5 I like her a lot. The staff are hard workers and so are her Nurse Practitioners. It's a long wait but the demand to see her is great as well. I understand she's dealing with a lot of different issues because she's an Internist as well as a Rheumatologist. The amount of time I had to wait ,she spent the same amount with me when I see her. She's great and it's too bad some of the "high-maintenance" patients don't see that. 2 thumbs up from me =)

:| Click to report rating    1/12/08 2 1 2 I went to see Dr Romanick with great expectations, because I was told she was very good. Well, great disappointment. She was good the first visit, asking all kind of information. Then I had extensive blood work, and the next visit she made me sign an affidavit to don't make her responsible for the medications she was about to give me. I thought, if she is not sure about the treatment, why was she giving it to me? After talking to my primary, she gave Dr Romanick a call, and she really disliked the answers. To me, Dr Romanick is very arrogant, I felt rushed during the visits, and told I could talk only about one problem at a time. Ridiculous, since I have many problems. I cannot go to three appointments because either she cannot handle it, o she wants to make too much money. The long hours waiting are not worth it. My new doctor takes the time to treat me well.

:) Click to report rating    8/12/07 4 4 5 I have had three visits to Dr. Romanick's office. By my second visit I was convinced that she was the best Dr. I have ever seen. My first visit was so long while she gathered information about me and my concerns. I was in alot of pain but did not want pain meds. I wanted a solution to my inflamation and joint pain. She perscibed the right thing for me and I feel so much better!

:) Click to report rating *  7/2/07 5 5 5 I have seen many doctors in my lifetime, more than I would like to admit. Dr. Romanick is by far and away the best doctor I have ever seen. She is extremely thorough, caring, and goes in great detail to find out about you. The questionaire you fill out before first see her is very long, but it gets her to know you better. I have never had a doctor spend as much time on an appointment than she does. If you bring your spouse with you, Dr. Romanick will make sure that the spouse's questions are answered too. She is extremely knowledgable, but what separates her and makes her the best is her care, compassion, and concern for her patients. She truly cares about them and goes all out to help them. She has a tremendous personality. Her staff is great too. They are always smiling, friendly, and caring. Her receptionist is so sweet she puts you at ease the minute you step in the office. Thank you Dr. Romanick for the awesome care that you provie. You are very appreciated.

:) Click to report rating    7/2/07 5 5 5 I have been seeing Dr. Romanick and her staff for many years. I have been more than satisfied with her care. My last visit was in May 2007 and really enjoyed her new office and especially her front desk receptionist. She was very helpful friendly and professional. Dr. Romanick has helped me and my quality of life tremendously, she is understanding and empathetic. Very knowledgable and I trust her with my healthcare. I will always reccomend her to others!

:( Click to report rating    3/31/07 3 1 Was told she only will deal with 1 issue at each appointment - that doesn't work with someone with systemic autoimmune disease! Also, tried to convince me my problems were due to gut disease and "Fibromyalgia" but stopped there in terms of trying to actually find causes. Would not give help with pain control (had severe pain that turned out to be RSD instead of Fibromyalgia). I was told depression/emotional issues were the cause of my pain and to go see a psychologist. Very disappointed with her care.

:) Click to report rating    2/4/07 4 5 The are close to ontime. There is some waiting. That said, I have never felt rushed when it is my turn. I have seen both Dr. Romanick and Chritine Frey. They both seem extremely knowlegable and want to educate, not just treat. Someone earlier said she only gives pain meds for cancer. Not in my case. I'm grateful to be seen by either of them.

:) Click to report rating *  11/2/06 3 4 I've seen this doctor three times in a row. I still don't have a diagnoses, but I do understand that auto-immune disorders are hard to peg down. She didn't prescribe me pain medications, but made suggestions to my regular doctor who did. She put me on other medications to treat my inflamation though. My first two visits went really well, I felt like I was listend to, and fruitful questions were asked. The last visit however felt very rushed as she was behind that day, and while I was prepared with questions I left feeling like I hadn't quite talked about everything I wanted to. I have another appointment with her next week, we'll see if that changes my score at all. Unlike others I've only ever seen Dr. Romanick and haven't been passed to her ARNP. Maybe because she still hasn't pinned down what is going on with me.

:) Click to report rating    9/6/06 4 5 I have been going to Dr. Sue and her arnp Dr. Frey. First sign of a good doctor - they both listen. I have felt a lot better after getting appropriate medicines and discussing various alternatives. Dr. Frey according to me is more like an unattached friend. I feel better after visiting this clinic, a psychological boost and the perfect meficines for me. Thanks to both of them for a great job. Wait time is somethiing which even the patients are responsible. Patients dont get prepared with the complaints they have and that can easily stretch time.

:( Click to report rating    5/13/06 4 1 They are concerned with the copays. You need to have the money up front or not been seen so be prepared on billing. The doctor does the initial visit then nurse practitioner does all other visits. If you need pain meds for pain forget about it. I was told that she only gives pain meds to patients with Cancer. I was unaware she treated Cancer patients since she is a Rheumatologist. You are made to feel like a drug seeker. Would never go back and not recommend her.

:( Click to report rating    2/28/06 3 1 Doctor only does initial diagnosis. Nurse does follow ups. Told to ignore side effects. No real follow up--I had to ask for my own blood work after 6 weeks on brand new drug. Developed potentially severe problems and was treated with contempt by the doctor. Got a new Doctor.
