This is the way I felt! Then I was introduced to doctor Gloria. We had a consultation and I decided to do something for myself. I was so happy with the results, I now feel fresh and very happy when I look at myself in the mirror. I would like to thank doctor Gloria de Olarte for making me feel so comfortable throughout the procedure, she was so gentle and reassuring that I would highly recommend her to everybody I know! | Respond |

I had restylane nose and lip injections. Within a few days of the procedure, I developed blue lumps in my lips at the injection point and my lips became very hard and lumpy. I have been since informed that this is what is known as the "Tindall Effect" which comes from the doctor still pushing out product while withdrawing the needle, which is the #1 no-no of restylane. My nose looked like a clingon forehead once the swelling subsided. When I called to report this and ask for a revision, I was told that I might have to buy more restylane ($500)in addition to time off work and driving distance (7 hours each way). No patient after care instructions, 1.5 hours late for the appointment, refusal to fix mistakes for free...a VERY emotional and costly mistake.

Dr. De Olarte and her staff were and have been with me throughout my recovery process. she clearly explained the whole process and her work is neat and very clean. i truly recommend her as any type of plastic surgery and will truly go back for further surgeries. | Respond |

1/28/12 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | Dr. de Olarte has been my plastic surgeon since 1993. She was recommended by my Gastroplasty surgeon, Dr. Sheila Clayton. Dr.de Olarte performed an excellent tummy tuck.I was very pleased with the results! She then performed a full face-lift for me - and the results were perfect. About four years ago I got seriously ill, but pulled thru. However, the illness took its toll on me and I required antoher facelift. I was in New York at the time and I selected one that I thought was competent and well trained, but he was not. He made my face look worse than it was before, to the tune of $17,000. dollars. I moved to Arizona. I waited a year, thinking it would get better, but it didn't so I went to Dr. de Olarte again in November of 2011. She and I went over various options, and I had the surgery. I now look like I wanted to before, and love it when people say I am "beautiful". I owe it all to her! I rate her as a 5 and would never go to anyone else! | Respond |

She answered all of my questions patiently and thorougly. As it turns out, I didn't get a mini tummy tuck because a strict exercise program took care of that, but I have been going to her for the last 3 years for fillers. Her experience in this arena is so good that my sister from Florida waits until she comes to Califiornia to have Dr. de Olarte work her magic. She leaves both of us looking natural and rested. I wouldn't go to anyone else and highly recommend Dr. de Olarte for your journey. | Respond |

I had breast augmentation and was very happy with my results it's been about 8 months now and all I can say is thank you doctor and staff. My sister went to a different doctor for the same procedure and spend a little less but was very unhappy with her results to our surprise after we found out that he was not certified. Just be careful in who you pick for your procedure and make sure they are certified. I am glad I found dr. De olarte she is awesome in what she does. Thank you once again. | Respond |

Dr de Olarte and staff always answered my questions and addressed any concerns I may have had. The procedure was explained to me in detail and I knew she would be very detailed with the surgery. My friends have all commented on how natural they look! Recently, I had her do my tummy tuck since my tummy didn't bounce back from being pregnant. After looking at the before and after pictures, I could not believe that was my tummy. I am extremely satisfied with all my results. Dr de Olarte really takes the time to explain all procedures carefully. She'll follow up with you as long as you need her. If she doesn't feel you are a good candidate for a specific surgery, she'll be honest and let you know that. She's caring, thorough, and best of all, a perfectionist! I did notice that one person said their tummy tuck scar was longer than anticipated--mine was too. But, she asked me this pre-op and I said go as far as you have to for the best result! Hindsight, I wish I had of gone with a shorter scar, but that was at my consent. Overall, my results are amazing with my tummy tuck and she can be a bit brash, but I think it's tough being a PS and being honest. We're there for cosmetic reasons so any reality brought to ones attention (fat rolls, etc) can hurt and be very offensive. And probably a better way to go about it would to be more sensitive, which I agree.. she is not. But, a great surgeon? That she is. | Respond |

Worst DR experience of my life. Was 45 late to surgery, then rushed through it with a substandard result. Used inadequate local anesthetic so I felt every cut. Didn't wait the proper time after an injection because she was in a hurry. Didn't wait for the biopsy result so had to redo things when the margin wasn't clear, was arrogant in my opinion and didn't do things the way that had been discussed before surgery.

I recently had a breast augmentation with Dr. Olarte and am very happy. I have had 2 children and my breasts were saggy. Before the consultation I was unsure of a breast lift/ aug, but she walked me through both procedures and let me know of the scars involved with a breast lift. Needless to say, I went for the breast aug and could not be happier. I look like I did in my early 20's. Plus, it feels good to try on bras that actually fit. The office staff was always friendly when I called about 10x the week before surgery with questions and were very knowlegable. I had other consults before choosing dr. olarte and went with her because she was a female, knowlegable, friendly and resonably priced.....thanks dr. olarte!!!

She was rude and horrible. I went in for a consultation for reconstruction after breast cancer surgery and she was very insulting, even calling me fat and said since I had fat rolls there was nothing that she could do for me! This woman has no tack or consideration for her patients whatsoever. She is more interested in her own image than that of her patients!!!

When questioned her response is always "I have been doing this for 25 years!". Terrible terrible lady and her office staff is also not the best. When you ask about other methods and other procedures instead of explaining why those methods may not be the best option they disparage the doctors that offer those procedures and say that they are probably just dentists or chiropractors masquerading as plastic surgeons. Dr. de Olarte is a very good surgeon. She is not the most punctual, but after a few times going and seeing her, I became used to it. Despite the time issue, she spends time talking to you asking and answering questions. She is very knowledgeable and only wants the best work done. I had an allergic reaction to my surgery (which was no fault of hers) and she spend twice a week with me getting me back to normal so I could have reconstruction surgery. Very nice and helpful if you take the time with her.
