I work in the facility where dr jho practices and i have seen first hand how rude he is to his patients. He is more worried about rushing them out the door to make room for the next one. He gets very annoyed if a patient starts to have a problem after the procedure. His staff is the best, very courteous and knowledgable. I have seen the outcome from alot of his surgeries and i can honestly say I would never let him touch me or my friends and family.

Dr. Jho dug out my father-in-law's pituitary MACROadenoma as a revision (and post radiation) of a failed inital transphenoid resection at a major medical facility in Tampa. It's a tricky procedure anyway (being in the dead center of the Circle of Willis) Dr. Jho gave my FIL back his sight and ability to LIVE! Not everyone is going to "do well" with any surgery (hence the "risk" part), but our family is happy to support Dr. Jho. This surgery was performed about three+ years ago and everything seems to be going well today. The proof is in the pudding! If I ever need elective neurosurgery, you can bet your sweet ass that I'm calling Dr. Jho for an opinion! I've seen it! I BELIEVE!

Please do not go to Dr. Jho. I had surgery done by him in 2007 for a herniated disc L5-S1. I came out with the same herniated disc and a operation done on L4-L5 and there was nothing wrong with that disc. I of course still had pain after surgery (which is now worse) and I tried to get a post-surgical appt. and got the runaround for 6 months. I finally saw him he was more interested in my income than my pain he told me to stand up straight and lose weight I am 140lbs. I now have moderate arthritis in L4-L5 level and still have a herniated disc in L5-S1. Please STAY AWAY from him. He will not help u, he will ruin you.

Dr. Jho was the best person I spoke with that day. He was the most obviously interested in my health problems. The PA was obviously just asking memorized questions and checking his list. He had absolutely no genuine interest in my well being, and no personality to speak of. he was patethic! I was referred to Dr. Jho for his expert opinion by my pain specialist and felt that Dr. Jho really cared about my well being as a person. I was satisfied that he had given me his expert diagnosis regarding my health condition.

About a year ago I had L5-S1 , for foraminotomy related to lumbar spondylolisthesis. I bought into the Dr. Jho story! Simple endoscopic procedure and 80-90% have immediate and significant pain relief! After surgery, my pain was significantly worse (lasting in excess of 7 weeks), I developed a "foot drop" and lost my achilles reflex. In addition, Dr. Jho was extremely rude. He spent little time with me after surgery and acted frustrated if he had to explain something. The surgical team told my family member and I (seperately) that they had to "manipulate the nerve" to complete the surgery. Later, in a phone conversation, Dr.Jho vehemently denied nerve manipulation, and acted if I must be crazy to have a high degree of pain. My wife paged him once on a Sunday, because of the pain, he was extremely angry for being paged on a weekend, although my pain was terrible. I am still not at 80%, but thanks to a chiropractor I started 4 months ago, I was able to get to around 70% improved.

I was looking for an alternative to multilevel cervical fusion after suffering with severe right arm pain on & off for over 3 years. Dr. Jho and his staff very very professional. I had a multilevel procedure done on Thursday 1/10/08 and was released the next day. I was actually able to drive part of the 4 hours to home, No C-collar needed! My arm is totally pain free, have some soreness in my shoulders from surgical positioning that are getting better each day. Dr. Jho has enabled me to remain a productive employee instead of having to be another LTD user. I wouldn't consider anyone else for future surgery on my spine! As far as his manner, he was very detailed in explaining his procedure to be used prior to surgery. He then checked on me in Recovery and again the morning of discharge, answered my questions politely and moved on. He's a VERY BUSY doctor and I didn't feel the time spent on my case was too short. The entire experience from the JHO Institute and AGH was wonderful!

He did a three level foraminectomy about six years ago. I am no pain free, but my symptoms have improved. At least I have gained back hand cordination and strength. I am convinced that if I had gone with fusion, I would be disabled now. Instead, I work full time and do the normal mommy, wife, friend things

Dr. Jho is a leader in minimally invasive cervical spine surgery. I've had two of his procedures on my neck 3 and 4 years ago and I believe they were the best choices for correcting the pinched nerves in my neck, and minimizing damage to the rest of my degenerative cervical spine.

Innovative procedure that I feel is a much better alternative to the traditional anterior cervical discectomy with fusion and plating. Post op pain and recovery time were very minimal. Other docs don't like his microforaminotomy because no one else can duplicate the positive outcomes he has!
