Staff is friendly and caring. Dr. takes time to listen to my concerns and explains everything to me.

I just recently started going to Dr. Mihilak....she is WONDERFUL! Very bubbly, made me feel very comfortable, put me at ease...answered all my questions without rushing me. Dont judge by these bad reviews...you might miss out on a wonderful Dr.

I'm not sure how she has kept her medical license. She has a reputation in one of the local hospitals has a doctor you wouldn't want for your goldfish. I only went to her a couple times after my doctor moved her practice. She does not genuinely care about her patients' well-being. She is simply in it to make money. She used to have two great doctors in practice with her, but they both soon left after discovering what kind of doctor she was. She was a liability to them, as if they were unavailable, their patients could potentially be treated by her. When I tried to leave her practice, I was given a very, very hard time about getting copies of my medical records (my legal right, mind you) to give to my new doctor. Please, do not go to her.

Thought Dr. Mihalik was great. Very polite and her staff was very upbeat. Answered all of my questions. I had heard that she had a doctor that had left and his staff was posting nasty comments.

Kim who works there said I need to pay for not calling 48 hours in advance even though they never informed me about the charge when I did schedule. Moreover, when Marie came on the line to cancel she was saying they have to charge me and I responded that I was never told and the flyer they sent out never said anything about, moreover when I was talking to Marie and mentioned I wanted to cancel do to DR. Karen MIhalik Reviews she hung up on me. NOT MEETING THEM AND THEY ARE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. | See Responses |

When I would ask questions they would not get answered and would be dismissed. Would not recommend her to another person. Her office has no patient confidentially as the walls are paper thin so I could hear everything going on in the next room. Was not called with test results, I had to call them. This office is AWFUL. Dr. Karen performed my hysterectomy (removed uterus & cervix) via a bikini cut on 6/7/10 after my suffering needlessly at the hands and opinions of other doctors for 33 years of my life. I can't thank enough, Dr. Karen & her staff at her Amherst OH office, and everyone that was involved with my surgery at Elyria Memorial Hospital in Elyria OH. Everyone was very kind, gracious, and very helpful to me in every aspect of my surgical experience. I am so greatful to Dr. Karen Mihalik for being the one doctor that would listen to my issues and help me get to a resolution. Previous doctors/medical professionals over the past three decades simply dismissed my female trouble. Thanks Dr. Karen & Staff!!! You gave me a new lease on life. I would recommend Dr. Karen to anyone!!!!

I though that I was alone in thinking that she was a uncaring doctor. Liked her in the beginning, smile and bubbly personality fools you. No questions answered, left on medication way to long... I was actually left in an exam room waiting for results from some testing and the workers turn the lights off and was getting ready to leave. If I hadn't called out I would have been locked in the office. When I called Karen about it the next day, all she did was make excuses for her employees. "Oh, you were the last appointment of the day and they were in a hurry to get out of work." Found a new OB?GYN and very happy.

7/29/10 | 4 | 2 | 4 | 5 | i loved Karen as my doctor. i started seeing her while i was in high school and was diagnosed with cervical cancer my freshman year of college. she held my hand through everything and even prayed with me. she did everything in her power to make it so i could conceive and we are now blessed with 2 little girls. she is a cut and dry tell you how it is kinda doc. she won't coddle you and sugar coat things. but sometimes you have to get past bedside manner and know that she is good at her job. and remember one person's bad experience travels further and does more damage that one person's good treatment. | Respond |

She induced me early and my son was actually not ready for the world yet,and had to spend 8 days in the NICU. she made me feel comfortable my first visit, but she was more interested in me getting pregnant than finding out why i was having pain. she sent me for testing without telling me what it was for,here to find out it had nothing to do with the pain but why i wasnt pregnant. my husband came with me the second time, and when i told her pregnancy was not my main concern she talked to me like a dog in front of my husband, threw birth control at me walked out of the room and sent someone else in to dismiss me. i have never been treated so poorly!

I would never, ever go to this doctor again!! You ask a question, and she says, "Probably," and walks out of the room. Primarily saw the nurse practitioner (she was wonderful) because Dr. Mihalik was busy. My painful surgery came undone after 3 months, and I followed all instructions; why this happened I don't know, but I will go elsewhere to have it redone. Dr. Mihalik does not seem to care about her patients.

Was impressed with her in my youth, having never been to an OB/GYN before. She's tricky with her smile, making you think that she knows what she is doing. I always left the office and would realize that none of my questions were ever answered, just danced around. Then she pushed a procedure on me without explaining how the procedure would work, side effects, why I needed it in the first place. I ended up owing hundreds for unnessesary procedure that caused a large amount of pain and bleeding. Her staff was always very rude, the only person there that showed any care for the paitents was the nurse practitioner. I hope she left there after all the other lawsuits settled. I pray that this doctor is not allowed to deliver babies anymore (I had a friend's baby come out of delivery with a broken collar bone, and the mother had many many complications due to lack of care immediately after the delivery.) Also never explained to me that I had endometriosis. Figured that out on my own.
