This doctor, like her husband, has no time for her patients. She is disrespectful of their valid complaints and thinks laughing them off will take care of the problems. I'm very sorry that there are senior citizen patients who continue to go to her, perhaps out of some sort of obligation or fear of changing to someone else who might provide thorough and thoughtful medical care. Shame on her taking advantage.

Despite appearing in the Washingtonian Top Docs issue, I found Dr. Crantz to be a subpar doctor resting on her laurels. She rushes patients and is dismissive of complaints as "just aging" while never recommending further treatment or investigation. She fails to recommend routine preventative procedures (such as colonoscopies) nor does she refer patients to follow up with specialists, even when it would make sense (e.g., pulminologist, cardiologist, etc.) I've known several people who have died under her care when routine procedures and/or referrals to a specialist would have likely led to an early diagnosis and treatment. Once terminal illness was found, she dropped a long standing patient completely, never checking in once to follow up to see how she was doing. Upon death, never contacted the family. I recommend finding another doctor. I did and feel much more confident that I'm receiving excellent care after years of putting up with it because of her "good reputation."

Excellent physician. Very knowledgeable and thorough, along with a warm and caring personality. Quick response to phone calls. Staff is professional, highly trained and pleasant as well. Highly respected by staff at Fairfax Hospital, too.
