Dr Bhattacharyya is a rare find. The skill he has as a surgeon and the put at ease bedside manner are both reassuring. He also does a lot of research in the field of sinusitis which is how I found him. I would recommend him HIGHLY to anyone needing sinus surgery.

He is an amazing doctor and surgeon. I had a pretty complicated sinus problem and he helped me when other doctors didn't. He always returned my calls and never made me feel like I was wasting his time. As far as bedside manner goes, initially it was intimidating but he warmed up significantly by the second appointment. His NP Lynn is very nice as well.

Despite him performing surgery (requiring a week of packing afterwards) on my sinuses, another doctor'subsequent CT scan did not reflect that the problem I had surgery for had been corrected after the surgery (since I switched doctor's upon another of Dr. B's former patient's recommendation). There are less invasive procedures now available that actually have positive results. Dr. B is too young not to be keeping up with the times and doing less invasive procedures.

God bless this man!!!!!I had Turbinate reduction, adenoidectomy and septoplasty.I have not had one single bit of pain! The anesthesia made my entire body ache, yet my nose did not hurt one single bit!I can breathe like never before. This Doctor is extremely professional,is very direct, knows his territory and doesnt waste your time.He goes right to the ground, tells you your options, consults with you and then acts immediately.I cant thank him enough for what he has done for me.My husband is a happy camper since he can now sleep in peace and I can breathe normally.May God Bless you and your family. Dr. Bhattacharrya is an amazing surgeon. I had endoscopic sinus surgery and septoplasty with him. I was pleased he did not use packing, the splints came out painlessly, when I had questions, my calls/emails to him were returned (by him) and by his NP, Lynn. My only regret is that I didn't get rhinoplasty done at the same time since the week after surgery was so uncomfortable (I underestimated this). I'm still recovering (week 3) but I will recommend Dr. B to anyone who needs sinus work/septoplasty. I have never been able to breathe as well as I do now, my sleep quality has improved immensely since my surgery. He said my headaches would decrease- he was right. Any surgeon who takes away daily sinus pain that can turn into migraines is an A-plus in my book. If you have surgery, go to B&W. He does some surgeries at Faulkner and I was incredibly displeased by that hospital (though that has nothing to do with Dr. B).

Very adept MD but his office staff & the wait is a DISGRACE!! I loath the fact that they have no regard for their patient's busy lives & careers when they make you wait so long. A prior call to inform you that Dr. B is running late is not too much to ask for. His schedule is too crowded and the wait for appts is TOO long. I also didn't like his colleague Dr. Goguen. She had NO bedside manner or warmth.

I haven't scheduled my surgery with Dr. Bhattacharyya yet, but so far I have really liked him. He's been very helpful in explaining things to me and even returned 2 phone calls in one afternoon to me to answer my millions of questions about the surgery and side effects, etc. I really like him and am very confident that he is going to help me to breathe again! His bedside manner at first was a little off putting, but I guess I have come to expect that of Boston doctors. They are all a tad cocky. However, he warmed up by appt #2 and I felt very comfortable with him.

I have seen Dr. B on and off for over 5 yrs, He performed sinus surgery on me, but I continue to have sinus infections. I have kept a log of my symptoms and he does not even want to review it. If surgery doesn't work for you he is not willing to take those extra steps to work with you as a patient to resolve your sinus problems.

He is just fabulous. I have been a nurse at Brighams for 10years and asked many people who I should see for my sinuses. EVERY single person said Dr. Bhattacharyya. He was great in the office and did a wonderful job on my sinus surgery. Highly reocommend him.

Dr. B has treated three members of my family for sinuses and sleep apnea. I agree with the other patients that Dr. B is GREAT. He is a rare mix of knowledge - skill - kindess that we rarely see in the ivory tower doctors in Boston. His staff is great too.

Dr. Bhattacharyya performed a Parotidectomy in 2005 and I was quite nervous about it. He did a fabulous job and I stayed in hospital just one night. I had no pain at all..and I'm such a baby! The scar is barely visible. He's a fantastic surgeon and who cares about his "bedside manner"? He was very attentive post surgery. We've been monitoring several cysts in my neck since of which I've had several MRIs and he phones me as soon as he receives the results even though the recommendation has been to keep monitoring.

Dr Bhattacharyya did sinus surgery on me twice. The first time he repaired a botched job by another supposed sinus doctor. I did great for three years now and am very happy with the sinus surgery he did. He has followed me closely for my polyps and when some of the polyps came back he removed them painlessly in the office, saving me from another general anesthesia. His technical skill was much better than my other surgeon. My only problem with Dr. B is that I had to wait almost 2 months for my initial appointment with him! I highly recommend him.

I was referred to Dr. B by a friend who had surgery with him and had a good result. Dr. B. was very balanced in his presentation conerning the advantage and disadvantages of surgery for my sleep apnea. He was very knowloedgeable about all managment options and new surgical techniques. He did not try to push surgery for me. I liked his honesty. In the end, I did have the surgery for my sleep apnea and he did a fabulous job. My sleep apnea is cured as is my snoring thanks to him.

Dr. Bhattacharyya is an excellent surgeon. I went to see him for a second opinion regarding my parotid gland tumor because I was not comfortable with the first doctor I saw. Dr. Bhattacharyya took a lot of time to review my information and medical records that I brought to him and he counseled me compassionately but accurately about the surgery about which I was very nervous. He did a great job with my surgery. After surgery, I had very little pain, and I have healed very well. I still get positive comments about the excellent start. Recently, I went to a picnic at work and another patient had a parotid tumor removed by another surgeon and saw my scar. She was surprised that she had such a big hollow in her face after surgery but my scar and face didn't have such a big defect. I feel very lucky to have had Dr. Bhattacharyya as my ENT surgeon.

Dr. Bhattacharyya is an excellent doctor and a superb surgeon. He correctly diagnosed the cause of my nasal bleeding and obstruction after 2 other ENT doctors missed it. He was careful and compassionate. After surgery I had almost no pain and haev not had any sinus problems for the last 7 months.

I am surprised how many complaints there have been about his bedside manner. Overall he's been great to me, however at times he can be more businesslike that one might appreciate, however we are seeing him for his medical expertise, not to be his friend. I have found him to be an attentive doctor who has been incredibly easy to get in touch with, either through email or over the phone, and I have felt that he is honestly invested in improving my health which has been seriously impacted by chronic fungal and bacterial sinusitis. 4 other area ENTs pretty much told me there was nothing they could do (or even worse that my problems were psychosematic - though had they bothered to listen to my complaints and do further testing they would've found two pretty substantial infections in my sinuses)

Dr. Bhattacharyya was an ENT treating me for cancer in my sinuses. He told me six years ago that there was nothing else he could do for me and I should go home and spend whatever few month I had left with my family. No sergeon in the right mind (including him) would operate in my condition. Well, here I am six years later with a clean bill of health thanks to a wonderful sergeon at MSKCC willing to take a chance instead of worrying about his track record.

Dr.Bhattacharyya is an intelligent doctor that knows his field well, but I have to say that his social skills were terrible. I originally was referred to him by my PCP and found him to be knowledgeable with a solid plan of action. In hearing his recommendations, I went to another ENT doc for a second opinion as Dr. Bhattacharyya's recommendation included surgery. Upon returning to Dr. Bhattacharyya's office after my seeing another doc for another opinion, his demeanor had changed completely. He was callous and cruel in his statements and he seemed very frustrated to see me in his office. It was obvious that he did not take me seeing another doctor for another opinion very well. Medicine is not about pettiness, but about the well-being of a patient physically and emotionally. Dr. Bhattacharyya seems as though he has lost this insight to a greed to be the best physician with the most cases instead of being the understanding physician with the respect of his patients.
