Very difficult to get a response or call back. Anywhere from 2-3 weeks and no response at all. Dr refuses to telephone for prescription approval, fax only so staff can rubber stamp. But who still has a fax? I needed a letter for school. He was given the paperwork with instructions on what was required and after waiting for weeks called to be told it wasn't done and he would take care of it. 3 more weeks went by and nothing, I had to demand it be taken care of by the next day and was told to pick it up in the morning. When I went at the agreed upon time the Dr. was not in yet and when he arrived it turned out that it had not yet been written. I had to sit and wait for it to be written, and then had to ask for 3 revisions in order to get the information included as specified in the requirements he had held onto for close to 9 weeks.

I love Dr. Zaidi. Best psych I've seen. He is respectful, knowledgeable, responsive to my needs (I have unusual responses to certain meds so I needed to find a solution that was a little "outside the box" and he was quite helpful with that). His office in Hackensack is awful - You can wait for hours to see him even if you have an appt. Emerson was better. Hard to reach the billing office. But he's a good enough psych that he's worth the wait, for me. I only see him twice a year or so, so it's no big deal. If you have to see him every month I would consider finding someone with a shorter wait and more responsive staff.

First app't he seemed caring & knowledgeable but I waited a long time. 2nd app't he was merely a Pill-pusher. In and out of his office in less than 3 min flat. Wait time to see him over a half hour. Just check his waiting room- there were 3 other people when I got there. They were also in and out in minutes. He should be reported. If you actually need help- other than pills- try elsewhere

He is the worst psychiatrist or any doctor for that matter. Basically he is there to prescribe meds. Didn't care about my issues by not responding. Biggest complaint is you wait over an hour past your appt. before he sees you. One time I needed to see him very soon and the receptionist told me to come in at any time and he'll take you when he can. I waited about 3 hours and then left. He takes his patients on first come first serve and pays no attention to appts. I'm in the process of looking for someone new. I live in Montvale. Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated? If you want to see him, be there when the doors open.

7/24/12 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | Worst receptionist I have ever encountered. Does not answer questions, does not pick up the phone, does not return calls, bills you twice, does not respond to emergency pharmacy calls yet appears to be doing nothing but killing time when you watch her in person for 3 hours waiting to see the doctor because you will NEVER see him on time. Dr. Zaidi is okay, and probably even a little better as far as psychiatrists in general are concerned. If he had a reception that actually gave a f*ck, that would make him a little better in my book. | Respond |

6/20/12 | 1 | 1 | 3 | 3 | Office staff and billing staff are a nightmare!! They charged me in full although I have insurance, info that I provided on my intial appt. Billing never picks up the phone. Not only does Dr. Zaidi charge for canceled appts (even if you call), you get charged if you are late for an appt! I resolved issues with billing and they are still sending me the same bill after we straightened it out. Unbelievabe! The waiting time can be up to 2 hours which is very frustrating. As far as Dr. Zaidi ....not worth the wait! | Respond |

Dr. Zaidi is the most unreliable, irresponsible doctor I have ever encountered. He makes his patients wait an hour to an hour and a half past their appointment time. He did not call my prescription in when my insurance company changed and I needed to use a new pharmacy. This was on a Friday and left me to suffer severe withdrawal symptoms for 3 days and would not respond to emergency calls. I have never been through such a horrible situation when all he needed to do was have his staff call my prescription into a new pharmacy. I will NEVER use this doctor again and hope that people stay away from his practice.

Dr Zaidi is a nice guy and it's a relief to have a psychiatrist who's not a pill pusher - He actually asks you what you'd like to do, how you want to approach your problem. He is respectful. He doesn't make you feel crazy. He has treated me for anxiety and adult ADD. He knows a lot. Cons: The wait is a little long and the waiting room is an unpleasant environment.

He really makes you feel like you count as a person. He is patient, let's you speak and listens to what you are saying. He has controlled my bi-polar illness for 6 years.

3/24/06 | 4 | 5 | 5 | I have had many doctors in my life. This psychiatrist really cares about his patients. He listens and wants to know about your progress. He's not just there to push pills as I have dealt with in the past. He is compassionate and empathetic. Not to mention his staff is friendly, inviting and very accomodating. In this age of HMO conglomorates, it's nice to have a practice really show their concern for their patients. | Respond |
