Have had nothing but good views of this emergency, better than gander. Everybody from the reception to the nurses to the emergency doctor alazhari to the lady heart specialist were wonderful, my husband needed them on Thursday. Juanita from our community came in to take him to St John's, and she had to drive in in the dead of night for nearly an hour. And when she heard what was wrong she insisted Dr V be called and said he wouldn't mind even though he worked all day and would be all night and the next day, she was right, thank you so much Juanita, he wouldn't take thanks and reassured us its why they are there. He was very honest with us and was the first one to really ask what Harry wanted if he died on the way, that meant a lot to us because he wanted his wishes respected. Harry was flown on to Toronto the next day, thanks to all of you.

The Good Lord put people like this on earth for a reason. Flew back to England satisfied. Simply the most compassionate and decent person I ever met. Did what Pops family doctor should have done long ago, if only she had taken the time to listen in the same way. Obvious that Mom can simply no longer cope, arranged to have him admitted to get him into hospital straight away to speed up long term placement for his own good. Cried tears of relief. The nurse was rude and unprofessional, must have put her in her place, she came back meek to carry out his orders. The system is collapsing back home, clarenville folks better hope this man doesn't leave like the other good ones. The switchboard wont say if he's on duty, but we have family in the hospital that get us duty copies - Nan waits until he's in. Otherwise check the parking lot for his suv. I could not have gone back to work unless I knew family could see this man if they needed.

Over the years I've watched many drs come and go at Cross Memorial ER, this is definitely by far the best. Thanks Dr V, my parents love you, just wish you were on all the time. Why not open a family clinic ?, but that would take you out of the ER. And don't listen to the previous poster, we need you to stay in Clarenville for always.

Met pavement hard on my bike while holidaying in this beautiful province in spring. My buddy told me this MD saved my life. Brain bled, coma, punctured lung, broken pelvic bones and both legs broken. No trauma surgeon, so he took the blood off my lung with a tube, gave me blood and put me on a respirator. Did,’t trust anyone else to take me to the city and arranged someone to replace him, went with me on the rig : talk about personal service, I see he does that often. Spent 2 months recovering, the specialists in the city were good, but said he was magnificent and were very complimentary. And told his secretary to cancel my bills when he heard I had no insurance. Come south to NJ doc, we need gentlemen here, and you’ve got a reputation with my friends and family already. Hope to shake your hand on my next visit, as well as your staff. Thank you again. Josh P.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with this Dr. Having elderly parents Ive met him on several occasions and he was very compassionate and respectful of them .I can only pray he stays in Clarenville for a very very long time .I think he's certainly an asset to Cross Memorial Hosp.

I'm a ambulance EMT. Doc is great - really good at what he does. He does all our critcal stuff : the other docs call him even when hes off to take people to town for stuff they cant doe in Clarenville. I've seen him put breathing tubes twice and get patients back who died in the back of the ambulance - never seen a doc who was abl to do that in moving ambulance. About 2 years ago we hit a bullmoose midnight while we were taking a coma guy after ATV head injury - didn't blink an eye or loose it, carried on breathing for the guy even though the front was a writ off, the back full of smoke and we had to change ambulances. If critical ask for this doc to take you to town. Gives us lectures to train us further, appreciates us and good to work for.

OH MY GOSH!! This doctor is amazing, if hes not the one whos working at the hospital when i go there with my daughters I would just as soon as go home again. Hes the best emergency room doctor Clarenville has ever had!!! Hes great with children. Hes the only one who gets you in fast at clarenville hospital. Hes treats people with lots of respect and explains things. He doesn't just give you a prescription and send you on your way like many of the clarenville emergency room doctors does. Hes caring and does his job well. I HOPE HES STAYS IN CLARENVILLE FOR A VERY LONG TIME!!!

Very helpful with my little 21 mth old boy. He new exactly how to get him to trust him. He was very patient and kind. The best I've seen yet with my little boy.

Saved Dads life, gave him scan within 10 min of arriving with bust anrysm, went with him to town on the ambulance, dr brown said he was quick and he was only able to save him because it went so quick.
