The doctor is very thorough in his exam, taking notes and doing work most doctors pass off onto their assistants. I am very accustomed to being given only 10 minutes with the doctor, and being limited to one complaint per appointment, however this doctor did not give me the "brush off" like so many others have done. Every complaint was listened to, and tests were ordered where needed. My only two complaints with this office would be that it can be difficult at times to get in (but this has only been once), and that once my insurance company denied a test, the office didn't call me to let me know what the next step would be in my care. Overall, the assistants are very kind and helpful (with the exception of the front desk, which I guess can be anywhere, and they get a very cold neutral grade from me).

Reasons for negative rating: Dr. ignored my stated concerns; there was no value in the session for me; the charge was outrageous. In addition to this, I just plain did not like the individual, and had the impression he thought little of me. This appointment was required to allow access to bone-density screening. Didn't need medical attention, and didn't want to establish ongoing relationship. To justify the expense and so on, I gathered some questions and concerns. During scheduled time, I mentioned these things. They were essentially ignored, and I was very disappointed. The session included reflex test (hammer to the knee), abdomen prods, breathing monitored by stethoscope, and basic peering into ears and eyes. This was useful to physician, but I knew I was in health, so there was little value in this to me. Comparing value to cost ($178.), this setup is irresponsible. To me, requiring a sham medical session in order to get a test borders on scam.
