:) Click to report rating    1/28/10 5 4 5 I have been going to Dr. McGrath since 2005, when I moved to Florida. He has always been personable and caring. It is obvious he cares about his patients and wants what is best for them. I actually had a colposcopy with him and didn't have any of the issues mentioned. You do have to wait like 15 minutes while the vinegar solution is in, but I definitely didn't expect the Doc to just sit there with me!! That would just be awkward! Dr. McGrath did have to perform a LEEP after the colposcopy and that went perfectly. I have since been pregnant (high risk pregnancy with Gestational Diabetes which went flawlessly because I made sure to follow doctor's orders) and now have a beautiful 10 month old daughter. I am looking forward to having Dr. McGrath as my OB for my next pregnancy! The staff is wonderful too, very down-to-earth and accomodating.

:) Click to report rating    1/9/10 5 4 5 I have been to many doctors for heavy and painful periods. Everyone wanted to rush me off to a hysterectomy - which I did not want. Only Dr. McGrath offered a simple treatment called an ablation. I was in and out of the hospital in three hours and only had a few cramps afterwards for a couple of hours. My periods are now gone and I did not need major surgery or any stitches. It was a piece of cake. What a great and caring doctor - he listens to you!

:) Click to report rating    11/20/09 5 4 5 Oh my god - what a great doctor. His wife is the midwife and he is the OB-GYN. They both were there for my delivery. They are wonderful. Not only do they know their stuff, they are very nice and alot of fun!

:) Click to report rating    9/20/09 5 4 5 What a great doctor and staff. While I was in the waiting room, I was surprised that some of his patients drove hours for their appointments. The guy is thorough, caring, funny, and will spend as much time with you as necessary. I highly recommend him.

:) Click to report rating    6/22/09 5 4 5 Outstanding OB/GYN. Critics must have some screws loose. Completely honest and down to earth. Very easy to talk to and understand. He saved both my baby's and my life. He is very busy and its true - if you decide to change to another OB/GYN - he will not take you back. His staff says he only wants to take care of patients who appreciate him. I can understand his point. He is devoted to his patients medical care.

:( Click to report rating    2/18/09 2 3 1 very rough and personally callous...wrong specialty for this doctor in my view. the doctor left me in a room for 40 minutes...alone...in the midst of a colposcopy. i called out since the apparatus was pinching my vagina, while i had vinegar at the cervix. I was ignored, and the doctor was annoyed when he finally returned. I have had many colposcopies, of 10-20 minutes duration. The physician never left me alone and the procedure, unlike this one, was relatively painless. My husband was waiting for me in the lobby and saw a pharmaceutical rep go back...whether or not that was the reason for this callous treatment, i do not know, but i am certainly taking no further chances.

:| Click to report rating    4/25/08 3 3 1 Ego-centric, God complex, could not get appt. for two weeks for severe UTI. Went to his previous partner and he dropped me from his practice and refused to allow me to return even though he had just started me on a fertility plan. Turned out I was pregnant in addition to having a severe infection and later miscarried. He is one of only two OB/Gyn doctors in this town and when he refuses to see patients it leaves them with no where to go. Hospital staff revealed. Dr. McGrath is resentful of patients seeing his former partner and that they parted on very bad terms. Hospital staff and other professionals in the community to include the Health Department and Pedatricians office report that Dr. McGrath is extremely difficult to deal with. They also report that he performs unnecessary hysterectomys when performing c-sections. Avoid this doctor. He is a good doctor and knowledgeable, but his ego makes him immpossible to deal with.
