Dr.Devito is a wonderful physician. His staff however have emotional issues. Many times I have witnessed them venting their personal problems.

I'VE BEEN GOING TO DR.DEVITO FOR 6 YRS. I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH HIM OR HIS STAFF. DR. DEVITO IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND IS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP AND GIVE SUGGESTIONS. HIS STAFF IS GREAT ESPECIALLY, THE RECEPTIONISTS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP YOU IN ANY WAY. TO ONE ITALIAN TO ANOTHER BRAVO DR. DEVITO IN WANT YOU DO AND CONTINUE DOING IT WELL YOU AND YOUR STAFF.

Dr. DeVito is a fine doctor. All you parents who claim he is rude are all idiots. He is straight foward and gives you good advice with all concerns. He is not there to be your friend to have a drink with, he is there to be knowledgeable and accurate on his diagnosis. His staff is professional and his hours are wonderful.

Dr. DeVito is an extremely intelligent pediatrician. But unfortunately, he is like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He could be patient, thorough, caring and gentle for one visit and rude, unpleasant and obnoxious the next. I didn't know who I was going to get each time I called or when I took my daughter in to see him. He is definitely a poor choice for a pediatrician, especially if you’re a first time mom. Roughly, 2 years ago, just as I was about to leave their office, the practice hired an associate doctor, Dr. Gina Allegretti; she was the perfect pediatrician. and we all loved her. She just left their practice and so have I. Their other associates are horrible. Dr. Alvarado is the only doctor I would see but unfortunately, she is only in the Brooklyn office on Tuesdays and Thursday. Staff is just as moody and Dr. DeVito.

Dr.Devito is a wonderful doctor. My two children are patients of his. He is informative,compassionate, and caring.His staff is extremely professional and helpful.This is a wonderful practice.

I have very mixed feelings about Dr. Devito and his office. Dr. Devito was very helpful to me. When I called him on the phone, he spoke to me very nicely. He called to make sure everything was okay, even when I didn't call him. However, my daughter had problems that were overlooked by him and his office and his staff was not helpful at all. I hated leaving him, but I feel he's good as long as your child has no real issues.

Doc Devito is fantastic. He has a no-nonsense attitude and knows his stuff. He has always been wonderful with my children and has answered all of my questions (and I ask many questions) thoroughly. He always responds to any off-hours calls if we have a concern. His staff is also wonderful, as is his partner.

Been with Dr D since my son was born 9 years ago. Always answers my questions and addresses my concerns. Not an alarmist as his former collegues were which is why we are at his new office. Call backs have been timely. Dr. Alvarado is great too.

Dr. Devito has taken excellent care of both of my sons since birth. I have a 10 year old and a 7 year old. Dr. Devito and his staff have always been helpful and patient with my questions. I have complete trust in the care he provides for my children. I highly recommend him. Kim Russo

I've had nothing but great experiences with Dr.Devito. He may not seem like your best choice for bed side manner. However I do belive he tries to to be a matter a fact for the benefit of the parent. As a mother I want a doctor who will tell it to straight, no matter what the situation. He has always been right with his diagnosis. I'm more than pleased with him and all his staff! If your looking for a doctor with a softer demeanor try Dr.Frank he is a gem as well.

Dr. Devito is a wonderfull man and doctor. hes been a friend of the family for years. he has a great bedside manor and his kindness to our children is unmatched. for those who say differently they are wrong and probably lying. he is a italian american hero and should be given the credit he deserves.

Dr. Devito is a good person, I would just have to say to all these parents giving him bad ratings, you can not feel intimidated by him. If you dont like how he acted you need to address it. I did and he has been different ever since. My daughter (3) loves him. All the girls in the office are very nice, you need to be nice to them as well.

Dr. Devito has a poor bedside manner. When I call to ask him a question about my son, he is very rude on the phone, and sounds like I am bothering him. I have recently switched drs because he looks as though he can't be bothered. His office staff is very rude and unhelpful. They also are very rude on the phone and in person.

He is an excellent doctor and knows what to do when a child is sick that is what counts. I agree with that you have to get to know him better to understand how he works.

I find Dr. DeVito to be very attentive and polite each time he has cared for either of my two girls. I've contacted him after hours without any rudeness and he has always called back. I personally like this physician and feel very comfortable with him.

Dr Devito needs to be more re-assuring to parents when their children are sick. He makes me feel like I am bothering him when I ask a question or call him after hours. I also feel he should be more thorough during exams and take more time to explain any instructions to parents. Lately, he is too rushed.

All I can say is that he dresses nicely. Terrible bedside manner. Correct on diagnoses though. Not professional and don't contact him after hours. He won't help u. Other drs in bay ridge are better than he and his colleagues. Much better choice is the practice he had before going out on his own.. Go with them.

He is the best doctor in By Ridge! He has been very helpful and knowledgeable along with the other doctors in his beautiful office. He is to the point and very caring. You have to get to know him better to understand how he works.

Dr. Devito has poor bedside manner. Has very fast when I bring my daughter in for her well baby checkup. When I call to ask a question, he makes me feel as though I am bothering him. His staff on the other hand is very nice, and very helpful. I have considered changing doctors on numerous occasions.

OBNOXIOUS! Not only was he rough with my three month old, he talked down to me and does NOT return phone calls. Made me feel like an idiot every chance he got. His office is brand new and beautiful, but the staff is as rude as the Doctor. All the money spent on a fancy office doesn't make up for the poor quality of care.

The doctor is very knowledgable and gets right to the point. However, since the beginning, his bedside manner is not great.He isn't very reassuring to 1st time parents or any parent who need this when their kids are sick. He probably does not realize how he comes across to people. Maybe this website will help him to work on that. His dr skills are very good. He always gave me a correct diagnosis for my children. Dr Alvarado is not as thorough as he is.Front desk help needs to be more personable also. Very curt. New Dr Frank is very nice and knowledgable also. Bottom line, I'll stick with Dr D.

Dr. DeVito is one of the best pediatricians I know. I am a mother of two boys and I would only choose him. He always returns my calls whenever I have a question and his staff is also very helpful. I woul donly choose him.

Dr. Devito has always been available to help with our new baby and our older child. We have never had to wait more than 15 minutes and the staff is always the same. We have been given emergency appointments and telephone help whenever necessary. We are given handouts and tons of info with every visit.I would recommend him to anyone looking for an old fashioned doctor.

I have left the practice from the moment he discharged my son from the hospital, when he was only 2 days old. I did not like him, as a doctor or as a person. He has absolutely NO people skills. Would not recommend him even as a veteranarian.

I do not agree with any of the listings. I do not think Dr. Devito "empowers" parents, on the contrary I find him to be condascending. Every time I called him after office hours he made me feel like the worst parent in the world. His bedside manner is dispicible and he shows no interest in making children feel comfortable in his presence. He has scolded my children on numerous occasions just for being children. I have left his practice and do not recommend him or any of his associates.

This doctor is wonderful and has been the family pediatrician for many people I know. He is very experienced as we has worked with children and medicine for quite some time now. The only complaint I do have is that sometimes the wait is extremely long in his office, but to me that is a good thing as everyone wants to see him I guess. I'd rather go to a doctor with a full waiting room than one with an empty waiting room. Anyway I'm pleased with his perormance so far and would no choose any other doctor over him!!
