08/06/14 5 5 5 5 Post-op, ( some general anesthesia & abdominal bikini cut later) I had relatively mild pain for the first 2 days. Thereafter, the pain subsided tremendously. I had the ability to control the pain with pills alone and ambulate the day after surgery without difficulty, except for "some" soreness (which is expected) A week later, I am feeling much stronger! After removing the surgical gauze I could not believe my own eyes. The dressing was clean, and the incision site (drum roll....) is there even one?.....I thought. The incision site is well approximated & too clean. I was expecting to see hard & dried blood, staples, or dis-solvable stitches; not to mention I was sharply staring at my abdomen for evidence of the "cut." I found nothing of the sort. :=) Extremely professional, highly competent, & very sensitive to a woman's care, Dr. N. Rosenshein earned my appreciation and trust. I strongly recommend his invaluable expertise! Thank you again Dr. N. Rosenshein!!  Respond

13/03/14 5 5 5 5 I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Rosenshein, who treated me for stage 4 cancer and, quite literally, saved my life. He is knowledgeable, honest, compassionate, and caring. Plus, I could write an entire paragraph just about his phenomenal bedside manner. He's very gentle, and always apologizes to me when he causes me discomfort or pain during a visit. It's true that he often runs late if you have a routine appointment, but that's only because he takes care of many deathly ill patients, and is always in the OR, and/or dealing with unforeseen emergencies. I'm sure that he had to bump some appointments around in order to accommodate my emergency surgery, so I'm happy to pay it back and wait on him, now that I'm well, and just see him for follow-up. He is the best!  Respond

22/02/13 5 2 5 5 I have been going to Dr. Rosenshein since 2003 when I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I could not be happier. Because of my GYN history my visits with Dr. Rosenshein are less than pleasant. But he caring demeanor creates a relaxed atmosphere. Afterwards you go to his office and he records a letter to your GP and you get to hear all about what his findings were in the exam room. And the other ladies are not joking when they tell you that you wait. Call ahead to see if he's running behind or schedule your appointments for first thing in the morning. And don't forget to take your parking pass. The front office staff will stamp it for a reduced rate. I will be moving to OH soon and I kid you not, I will schedule vacations around his appointments so I can come back here to him. I don't trust anyone else.

22/12/12 2 1 2 5 I was referred to this doctor for a pre-cancer vulva stage 4 problem. I went to him because being told he is best in this field. He would not answer any questions ? WHAT- QUESTION HIM!! He definitely has a BIG EGO! He was very rough in his exam. He wanted me to put off having surgery for this problem, and wait 6 mos. to see him again, he said sometimes it's better to do nothing, and if I didn't like his reasoning to find another doctor, which I did. Dr. Grumbine suggested to remove the lesion ASAP, which we did, and I'm still cancer free. If I waited as Dr. Rosenshein suggested, it may have been cancer by now. He maybe highly rated with cancer patients, but I found him to be rude, unconcerned, certainly not compassionate, and wouldn't see him for any reason.

27/11/12 5 2 5 5 Dr. Rosenshein is an absolute great doctor, however, the wait time is absurd! My appointment was at 9:30. I had to wait an hour and a half before I was ever called to the back Then it was another 30 minutes. Because he is such an awesome doctor you have to make your appointments 15 months in advance.

02/11/11 5 2 5 5 Dr Rosenshein is an amazing doctor. He's a straight shooter- NO Bull or sugar coating. He gives you the facts and educates you on your problem. He's a busy man. It's not unusual to wait and wait and did I say wait to see him :) However, the wait is totally worth it. Some say his bed side manners are not that great. I've never experienced that! He is complimenting, consoling and makes you feel relaxed. I think every woman hates going to the gyn! He makes it easier to go!! I can't say enough good things about Dr Rosenshein. He truly is one in a million. I've been blessed to be under his care.

12/09/11 5 5 5 5 Dr. Rosenshein is by far the most exceptional oncologist I have seen. He provides excellent patient care and follow-ups. One must understand that he is very busy and in high demand. With that being said, do not expect hugs or hand-holding. He does, however, provide each of his patients with the most exceptional care of any doctor in his field on the east coast. Before seeing Dr. Rosenshein, I had consulted with another oncologist closer to home. I felt very uneasy about the other doctor doing my surgery as he told me before hand that I was going to have to have both chemo and radiation afterward. I went to see Dr. Rosenshein, he did my surgery, got all of the cancer and no chemo or radiation afterward. This man knows what he's doing and strives for excellent results with each patient. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a gynecologic oncologist. He is the absolute best!!!

04/09/11 1 1 1 1 The wait time so see him was EXTREMELY long. He never really talks to you, only into his dictaphone. When he examined me I found out later he found my thyroid(it had been removed years earlier) he also noted my problems with sutures, but used those sutures in my sorgery any way which caused my wound to reopen and had me on a wound vac for months. His staff also noted the suture problem...and although in writing denied I told them. It had been 4 years and my wound has not healed yet, but because of his power and position no doctor will treat me because I had complained. It turns out that I may not have had to have the surgery in the first place. If he does do wrong to you as well good luck in getting anything done about it, as many lawyers told me "he's too famous to sue". He may have alot of knowledge, but for me he is spread to thin by being heads of departments and hospitals to really care about the individual patients needs  Respond

30/03/11 5 4 2 4 The exam of my female organs was extremely painful and I felt violated. I sought two other surgeons who performed the same exam with no stress or pain to my body or me. This doctor is knowledgeable but quite insensitive and aloof.  Respond

22/12/10 5 4 5 5 The best gyn-oncology practice in the mid_Atlantic. He was able to fit me in immediately for a 2nd opinion and did a minimally invasive procedure when my gyn would have done a less sophisticated and more extensive operation.

17/12/10 5 2 5 5 Dr. Rosenshein is incredibly busy and runs a fast paced practice, but he is the most brilliant, knowledgable doctor I have ever had. I am certain the surgery he performed on me saved my life. At 38 years old, I was not ready to give up. Do not see him if you need hugs and hand holding; he has too many women to cure.

07/10/10 3 1 1 1 DONT GO! ALL EGO NO HEART! My mother’s primary oncologist referred us for a consult. I was horrified at the manner in which he treated my mother – as if she wasn’t worth his time and that she simply need to realize she was going to die and not to waste his time. He did not even really talk to us he gave us the information by way of dictating a letter to our oncologist and then indignantly shooing off my mother as she tried to ask questions. Then, as we sat there crying …he got up and rolled her wheel chair out of the door…not even giving us some time to gather ourselves. No one should have to endure this type of treatment from a doctor. I will say that on the other end of the spectrum his partner, Dr. Ryu, is wonderful, caring and knowledgeable.  Respond

19/07/10 5 4 5 5 Dr. Rosenshein is a superb doctor. Because of family issues as well as my own that were heading me toward uterine cancer, he saw me every 6 months for an endometrial biopsy. Because of this, he caught me at the pre-cancer stage and performed a complete hysterectomy. I truly believe he saved my life because of being so pr0-active with my care.

He is tireless in is pursuit to provide care to his patient. I am thankful I was able to have him as my surgeon. 20/08/08 2 1 1 2 I went to Dr. Rosenshein for a long time and finally had to leave, he was impossible to get an apointment with and he does not care about his patients, how can a person be chief of staff at three hospitals and give anyone any quality of care. He never answered my questions and I felt like a number in his office. He was a very tempermental person and I agree with the other lady who said he does not live up to his reputation. He has a ego which constantly needs to be feed and he goes where the buck is. He may get alot of awards for his work but it is all alot of bull.  Respond

25/07/08 5 3 4 5 I see Dr. Rosenshein at his Hagerstown office. He performed my surgery at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore. This is a very busy man who may see as many as 70 patients a day at this office. He doesn't have time to chat and in fact, barely speaks to you during a routine appointment (he speaks into a recorder). He can come across as cold because he is so busy BUT .. if you have cancer this is the doctor to see. He is aggressive and will operate on people other surgeons wash their hands of. He is kindhearted and genuinely concerned, but he is not a hand holder. Most surgeon's see you once after surgery, I had my operation over a year ago and still see him every 4 months for follow-up - my oncologist is quite impressed with this. In summary: you will wait, he will be cordial but not lovey-dovey, and you will be well on your way to cure. I wouldn't trade him for anything. His staff is wonderful!

21/05/08 1 2 1 1 after driving over an hour to see Dr. Rosenshein, I found him aloof, rude and old fashioned. If you are uneducated and can't read he will give you a kindergarten picture of your health. He did not answer questions with any degree of value add. Very insensitive. Very disappointing. His credentials do NOT match the man. Sorry...my experience, my opinion.  Respond
