:) Click to report rating *  2/19/10 5 5 5 I absolutely LOVE Dr. K and her staff!! I just delivered a beautiful baby girl thanks to her. She took the time to figure out what was wrong and to decide the best treatment plan for me. I had seen another infertility doctor who was awful and didn't care about me, just about getting my money and getting me out the door. Dr. K really loves what she does and it shows. I will enjoy my time with my beautiful new baby, and I will go right back to her for my second. she is fantastic, and I cant say enough about how wonderful she is!!

:) Click to report rating *  2/16/10 5 5 5 I have had no problems with Dr. Krisitiansen. I just finished my testing cycle and am just starting treatment. We did talk about ivf first but only because that is what is what is technically needed for us. We were given the option to choose other treatments unlike at other clinics. We chose to do one month of insemination first and Dr. Kristiansen was very supportive of our decision. Everyone has been so optimistic there. I never felt forced to do anything that I did not feel comfortable with. This is such a stressful process and we don't always hear the news that we hope for but you can't blame the messenger! I appreciate the honesty. I looked up her statistics before even scheduling an appointment with her. I never felt as though anyone was hiding anything. Keep up the good work over there. You do have patients that appreciate you and your wonderful staff. I have great confidence that we will have success with your clinic.

:) Click to report rating    2/11/10 5 4 5 I am a bit shocked at these other comments. Dr. Kristiansen was nothing but professional to us. My husband and I discussed IVF with Dr. Kristiansen at our first visit too. We weren't offended by that at all - afterall, we did see her to start a family. We wanted the best option for getting pregnant as soon as possible. Since IVF had the highest chance of success, that's what she discussed and that's what we did. It worked!! I am so glad that we didn't waste precious time and money on less successful treatment. She's the expert - so thankful we took her advice. We didn't feel that she was all about money. I guess we were a bit more realistic than some people. We did our research and KNEW that fertility treatment can be costly. We got in on the IVF special and it saved us $$. I'm not sure why the other patient was so upset about records. Every doctor I've ever been to has charged for records. All in all, a great experience. Baby due in September. THANK YOU DR. KRISTIANSEN!!

:( Click to report rating    1/20/10 3 4 1 She is not worth even one visit. Staff is helpful but doctor is not understanding at all. My first visit with her was okay but starting the second visit she was rude and unfriendly. She was not ready to discuss any options other than IVF. I was more stressed out by her than the whole process. and finally stopped the treatment because i could not take pressure. So i changed doctor and the doctor that i found is angel. When my current doctor requested for my medical records from Sonja Kristiansen's office, they even charged me for that which was ridiculous. No doctor till now charged me to transfer records. All they care for is Money. Overall i would never suggest her to anyone

:( Click to report rating    12/6/09 1 1 1 Miserable... Do NOT use this doctor. Try not to be fooled by the smoke and mirrors routine. There are so many better fertility doctors all over the city. Take my word for it. There's a reason why she does not disclose her statistics. Go with a doctor who will disclose their success rates, and ask lots of questions before beginning this procedure. You still have plenty of time, and it will be worth the wait compared to what rushing into a relationship with a doctor like Sonya Kristiansen could present. BEWARE

:) Click to report rating    11/6/09 5 4 5 I just found out that I am pregnant with my second pregnancy, thanks to Dr. K. My first was also thanks to this doctor. I have nothing but great things to say about her, and it is not just because it worked. She takes however much time is needed to explain what is going on. I never felt rushed. Most of her office staff was there during my first time around, and I was thrilled to see them the second time around. I would absolutely recommend Dr. K!

:) Click to report rating    10/21/09 5 5 5 My wife and I had a great experience with Dr. Kristiansen and her staff. They were nothing but helpful to us. What we appreciated most was Dr. Kristiansen's honesty. I think that it saved us precious months of treatment that would not have gotten my wife pregnant. We went into this experience knowing that we did not have insurance coverage. I don't really understand the other comments about the money. It's not very realistic to think that you shouldn't have to pay for this kind of treatment. We did our research and knew the approximate costs. This office was no more expensive than any other IVF clinic. Many, many thanks to Dr. Kristiansen and her great staff for helping us through this stressful process. Our baby is two months old and we plan to return to Dr. Kristiansen soon. We wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

:( Click to report rating    10/11/09 3 1 1 Some staffs was very helpful and others was rude and negative. The doctor is OK @ first, after frequent visits become in a sense of helpless and unfriendly. This Dr. think only $$$ and does not have human heart. If you're seeking for dr. THAT HAVE GOOD HEART WITH EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE TO HELP YOU, SORRY, SHE IS NOT FOR YOU.

:) Click to report rating    8/24/09 5 5 5 Underwent IVF with dr.k. My experience in the office was wonderful. The staff was not only helpful but compassionate as well. They were willing to go out of the way to help me and answer any questions I had. If you are looking for an infertility dr. i would definitely recommend dr k!

:) Click to report rating    8/21/09 5 5 5 I had my first new patient office visit with the doctor this week. My visit was very pleasant from the time I checked in to the time I checked out. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions thoroughly. The doctor was very nice and very easy to talk to. She recommended a testing plan and then from there go on about treatment. She wants to see whats going on and how she can make our dream come true of becoming parents. The reviews that I've been reading are very confusing, not once did I face any problems from the staff to the doctor. I'm looking forward to start my testing cycle with them!

:( Click to report rating    8/4/09 1 3 1 Many on their staff are simply rude (rolling eyes on us?!)if ask more than one q-n. Unprofessional. The doctor is alright but never available. Oh, also they were charging us for the same test results instead of the regular next day results. They failed to tell us the insurance wouldn't cover those. So after we left they started billing us left and right. Our insurance told us they were not supposed to do that since this office office has an agreement with our insurance. Grea area and our losses. Also, I got misdiagnosed and that's my biggest frustration with this dr.

:( Click to report rating    7/28/09 1 3 1 Inexperience doctor, 1st visit ok, 2nd, 3rd and ... was not friendly and not helpful at all. It's not good to seek for advise and help from this kind of doctor.

:) Click to report rating    5/29/09 5 5 5 We have been patients of Dr. Kristiansen for 4 years now after interviewing dozens of supposed "Fertility Specialists". Dr. Kristiansen is one of only about 2 doctors in the greater Houston area who is "Board Certified" in "Reproductive Endocrinology" - not just OB/GYN's who "call themselves" fertility docs. We did thorough testing & decided to begin with IUI's. We didn't have luck with that option, so we went to IVF and became pregnant the 1st try. We have returned to do IVF again for another child now. We did not feel as though Dr. Kristiansen pushed us into IVF. We were given all of the options & choices. We had insurance coverage, but it only paid for testing. The rest was paid out of pocket. All of our financial responsibilities were clear prior to treatment. She is the most affordable for the best treatment available. Her staff is up-beat, knowledgeable & courteous. As a woman, I wanted a woman doctor for this emotional infertility journey. I wouldn't see any other doctor!

:( Click to report rating    5/28/09 4 2 2 This doctor is not concerned with finding the cause of the problem, only doing IVF or other invasive fertility treatments, which I feel will not work if there is another problem that needs to be repaired first. As a young woman under 30, I find it odd that she wanted to rule out the obvious and wanted to go straight to IVF! If you have a condition that can likely be repaired with surgery, etc and no other treatment necessary, this is NOT the doctor for you. I switched to a doctor I am more confident is concerned with patient well-being.

:( Click to report rating    5/3/09 1 3 1 Watch out for the post billing they practice - you might be getting never ending bills 8-9 months later. I did not appreciate the staff people we dealt with. The doctor is Ok but doesn't seem interested in our case (bored?).

:) Click to report rating    4/13/09 4 5 5 I went in as a new patient to meet with Dr. Kristiansen . The environment and her staff was great. Everyone greeted me and made feel very comfortable. During my consultation I felt the doctor was very sincere and knowledgable. I look forward to start my testing cycle with Dr. Krsitiansen and staff.

:) Click to report rating    4/9/09 4 4 4 I have been a patient for a few years. I did an IVF cycle two years ago and had a beautiful daughter. I came back this year for another IVF cycle. I did not feel as though Dr. Kristiansen pushed me into IVF. I was given all options, IVF had the best success rates. I did not have insurance coverage and had to pay out of pocket. All of my financial responsibilites were made clear prior to treatment. Dr. Kristiansen like all M.D.'s, do have to see other patients. I never expected to have her undivided attention at every visit - it's not realistic. There have been staffing changes which has greatly increased the quality of service in the office. The staff has been very friendly and helpful to me. I would recommend Dr. Kristiansen to anyone.

:( Click to report rating    9/17/08 2 4 1 I can't believe we spent almost a year with this doctor and her pathetic staff (the ones we dealt with). I had HORRIBLE pains during the ovarian stimulation injectibles treatment. During one of those really bad cycles I called the office and explained my shooting pains. I asked Janet if I could talk to the doctor or may be she could be directly contacted about me. She answered impatiently " Ok,what are your pains like?" Later she told me my nurse would call me back. Nobody did. My only help came from 5-7 Tylenol pills that day. You'd think your doctor would want to know about her patients - think twice. I think she trained her staff not to EVER bother her with "minor" details like that. I understand she runs two offices but may be it's time to unload some to be able to actually care about her patients. DrKristiansen was pushing us to IVF cycles without any attempts to diagnose me. Weleft this office completely dissapointed. I was immediately diagnosed with endo with a different doctor.

:( Click to report rating    7/4/08 3 3 1 They seem to be overwhelmed with the amount of patients. The doctor is never available unless you make an consult appointment. In our case - unhelpful, busy and uncaring business.

:( Click to report rating    4/21/08 1 1 1 I never really felt that she was sincere with me as a patient. You don't get a genuine feeling for her at all. The staff is cold like she is and not a inviting enviroment. You know it's all about money $$$$$$$$$$ the minute she you leave. I had a failed ivf procedure and she really did not show the compassion I think she should have. She was cold and just said come back in when your ready to start again. My Insurance had no limit and I think she really did not do all she could have to make the first try a success. I dod not recommend this Dr. to anyone. I hope she starts to lose more patients so maybe she changes her ethics.

:( Click to report rating    4/21/08 2 3 1 Staff will lie to you just to get your money, second paid for two IVF's unsuccessful, told eggs too old to conceive, 2yrs later conceived naturally. she is just a greedy Dr. praying on peoples emotions. Staff and she gives very false hopes just to cheat and steal, glad they finally came out with website to report BAD DOCTORS. All she cares about is MONEY, not patients

:) Click to report rating    10/25/06 4 5 Dr. Kristiansen is one of the nicest doctors I've ever seen. I went to her for insemination procedures. She answered every single one of my questions patiently. She is very knowledgeable, and very honest. If she is not sure about something she will admit it. Her speciality is reproduction, I am not sure why the other 2 patients were going to her for matters other than that. Anyway, I would strongly recommend her to anyone wanting inseminations or who has fertility issues. She did not make a whole lot of money from me since we just did inseminations (which resulted in pregnancy), but I never doubted that she cared for me as her patient. She also has a great sense of humor. And her staff is also were nice and knowledgeable, especially when compared with other reproductive doctors' staffs. Dr. Kristiansen is one of the nicest, most caring, most patient doctors I have ever been to.

:( Click to report rating    9/4/06 5 1 I was diagnosed with fibroids from my OBgyn and she was willing to do a myomectomy without further diagnostic testing which I found odd. As it turned out, I went to two other doctors who recommended that I did not need surgery since my fibroids were not located in the uterus. Also, I asked Dr. Kristiansen if I had PCOS (due to physical symptoms) and she brushed it off. I found most of the staff rude. The office Manager and one of nurses were very nice.

:( Click to report rating    10/2/05 2 1 I do not believe Dr. Kristiansen cares for her patients. She will not care for you unless she sees big $$$ in you (such as IVF cycles). I came to see her for my yearly well woman exam and just ASKED if I could possibly have PCOS and she told me no, that I was just overweight and prescribed BCP for me to lose weight!!! I was diagnosed a month later with PCOS and hypothyroidism by another RE. Needless to say that I don't recommend her.
