The Dr was almost an hour late. I heard he went to lunch. He does not explain anything to you and has an arrogant attitude when you ask him to explain. He is in a hurry and gets you out the door asap.
My husband had a spot on his back removed and tested for skin cancer. Hackett's nurse left us a message on a Friday night telling us it was non-benign. Monday morning we called and asked for an appointment to discuss the results asap. When we finally got in, he asked how we were doing. I told him that I was stressed about the message indicating that my husband has skin cancer. Doc looks at husband with a sarcastic looking smirk and says, "Is she always like this?" Then he goes on to say, "I dont know where you got the idea he has skin cancer, because he doesnt" I repeat the message about non-benign, and he laughs again and tells us that means it is in the "grey" area, and that he wasnt worried about it. Non-benign doesnt mean benign apparently, and he thought we would know this? Wanting a second opinion, we went to another doc about 6 months later, and sure enough, the spot WAS a carcinoma.
