Dr. Kamara is a great doctor he has helped me when no other doctor could, my family doctor referred me to him and she was right he would find out how to help me and make me feel pain free for months at a time. his secretary and the other girls who answer the phone need to be retrained because they don't help your situation, and they must never read the files before they go back for filing, there have been messages that Dr kamara has noted on my file and they are never follwed by his clinic staff. but the assistants who help him in the day surgery dept are just great both Dr. Kamara and those people make you feel at ease.
I have seen Dr. Kamra many , many time and wouldn't see anyone else .He is the kindest Dr. and caring with a lot of compassion .He has performed many proscdures on my head and has also put me asleep for surgery more than once I might add .I would not be able to go under anastetic unless he was doing it .I Love this Dr and cannot find words to explain what he is really like so I would recommend he ask for him if you are a chronic pain suffer or needs to have surgery .God Bless him and I pray we will never lose him out of our province .
I can't comment on what the first reviewer said about Dr. Chandra, but in my personal experience, I have not seen anything like this sort of treatment. I have called his secretary on numerous occasions when having severe pain, and have been seen by the doctor even on his non-clinic days. He is patient, kind, just a beautiful man and a thoroughly competent doctor. I've had chronic pain issues since my spinal surgery years ago and it took about 1 year for Dr. Kamra to find the right combination of injections and pain medications. He never gave up on me, never lost patience (even when I was at my most frustrated, he convinced me that we would find a soultion). Thanks to Dr. Kamra, I am now comfortable, able to look after my children, work and drive again. He is amazing.
This doctor SAYS he's available to help patients with chronic pain, but in fact his outpatient services are inaccessible. If you complain to him that you need a more effective treatment, he will discharge you from his care, without notice. This is contrary to the rules of the College of Physicians and Surgeons. No doctor can discharge you without first arranging another physician who will see you. Does not take individual patient needs into consideration. Someone who wants botox for a sore knee gets same priority as someone who is suicidal with pain. This doctor admitted during a workshop that he loses several patients each year to suicide. These are patients who were depending on HIM to treat their pain. Very inaccessible. If you keep calling his secretary, you will never hear back.
