08/07/13 4 5 5 5 Dr. Marcus is unbelievablly intelligent, bright, savvy physician. I have been going to her since the 80's.....she knows her stuff. Don't be distracted by appearances or other office activity......dr. Marcus knows how to help her patients......that's why she's a doctor .......she is highly trained and up to date on procedures and medication. I have been to others but always return to a doctor who I know will help me.

14/02/13 5 5 5 5 Whether Dr. Marcus' office is up to date or dresses outside the box makes no difference in her knowledge. My son has been going to her since he was 15. He is now 25. My son had a bad case of psoriasis since the age of 5. It covered a large amount of his body. She tried and persevered to get his condition under control. Even went so far as to deal with my insurance to get medication for him that they didn't want to cover. She is straight forward and as far as using a typewriter.....some people are very private and don't want to use today's technology. But what does that have to do with being a good dermatologist?? Nothing! Dr. Marcus is the best dermatologist around. The previous negative responses are ridiculous. If you want help with your problem, Dr. Marcus will find a way to help you!!

08/02/13 2 5 5 5 She's the best Dr. I've seen.I love the Dr. The receptionest is very unfriendly though. She's the reason I gave low mark on staff  Respond

13/12/11 1 4 1 3 Dr. Marcus' office is not only out of date it is downright dirty! Dr. Marcus' appearance is beyond eccentric. I wouldn't mind eccentric but she pays no attention to details. Her clothes are too small--the zippers have safety pins holding them closed. Her receptionist is downright nasty--always appears to be having a bad day. They still use a typewriter which kind of makes me think she is living in the dark ages. Makes you wonder if she is keeping up with the newest and latest in skin care. Yes, you can always get an appointment quickly which is unusual for a dermatologist but it's probably because most people won't come back for a second appointment once they experience her. She also never closes the door when she is examining you and her voice is so loud the entire office gets to hear your business! She is unprofessional and rude.

21/09/11 5 5 5 5 I do not understand how you can have a problem with Dr. Marcus. She is a kind person with a different sense of style, not everyone has to dress plain, be quiet, and so what she uses a typewriter, being computerized is not a law, the system works for her and her patients and that's all that matters. Dr. Marcus fights with my insurance company every time I need my Rx and every single time she comes through even when I can not. look past what you see at first sight because Dr. Marcus will go the extra mile for any patient, and I don't know about anyone else but that's what I want in a Dr.  Respond

01/09/11 2 4 1 1 i agree with the comment above.....this was, BY FAR, the worst exp i have had in a doctors office. Dr. Marcus is not "eccentric" as another person wrote....she's rude, obnoxious, cold and uninformative. I asked her questions and she rolled her eyes. I should have left before entering the room-my mistake. her demeanor is smug and she is down right unprofessional. u couldnt pay ME to return.

26/01/11 5 5 5 5 Dr. Marcus helped me a lot with a serious melanoma. She was the second MD I saw after a first told me I had nothing to worry about. Dr Marcus knew my growing mole was cancerous as soon she saw it (was a Level III after biopsy) and removed the mole and surrounding skin. Dr Marcus was exceptionally caring and skillful. As a self-employed person who was caught in the economic nosedive, I was lucky that Dr Marcus was exceptionally generous in helping me with the fees. Don't let the pink waiting room fool you, Dr Marcus is a very bright and caring professional.  Respond

08/12/10 4 5 4 4 Dr. Marcus does not dress appropriately for a doctor. The receipt I got was typed on a typewriter on a 5x7 piece of paper. When she heard another patient was there she left the room without notice when I was in the middle of a question. She did seem to know what she was talking about but we will see if the medication works.  Respond

15/10/10 5 5 5 5 Dr Marcus is an exceptionally skilled and professional dermatologist. dermatologist. She is knowledgeable in all areas and is a brilliant woman. I have been going to Dr. Marcus for thirteen years. I have seen her for acne, mole removal, and a thumb infection. She has always been able to successfully treat all of my problems. As far as injecting restalyn, she is the best in New Jersey and New York. She has a warmth and kindness about her and truly cares about her patients.  Respond

08/07/10 5 4 5 5 Dr. Marcus is wonderful. Yes, different than many doctors, even eccentric, but has always been kind and thorough....and that is what's expected of any doctor...wouldn't you agree? She takes her time and does not rush through visits. She was the only doctor who was able to cure a painful nail infection and I went to many. My husband now goes to her. She is just as through with him.

12/05/10 1 2 1 1 By far the worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office. Beyond her being a bit eccentric, what she did in the office was barbaric. I walked in on a patient yelling and should have walked out. She should stick to research and stay away from patients.

11/01/10 3 4 5 5 Dr. Marcus is a bit unconventional ( for a doctor) She wears tight dresses and high heels. Her office is in a time warp--back to the 1970's. But I found her to be professional and very helpful. She takes her time and was careful- Her treatment was successful. Her manner may put off some people, but she is never rude, just a bit of a character.

19/12/09 5 5 5 5 Dr. Marcus is smart and knows about what she is looking at---I expected all sorts of painful tests and was pleased to find out she could tell me what I was facing and who to see in a matter of minutes. I was so grateful that she could fit me in the same day--which helped because I had to leave town for a week! I chose to call her rather than any other doctor I have access to because I have trouble trusting doctors--but I DO trust Dr Marcus--she is smart and up to date in current practices.  Respond

25/09/09 4 5 5 5 This is a doctor that some people either love or hate. The good: I've gone to Dr Marcus twice and she's awesome to the self-employed (uninsured) people. Getting an appointment is easy! The Neutral: Dr Marcus has a very unique personality that some people will find unnerving. She dresses like she's going dancing, loves silk flowers, and is super peppy for a woman of her age. Professionally she's a very good skin doctor, spaces her clients out and takes her time to treat patients. The Bad: If you're used to institutional Drs who rush you through their overbooked you're in for a shock. Dr Marcus talks a lot and will totally get under your skin (no pun intended). Also she may take longer on a previous client if there's a complication during surgery. Her receptionist doesn't always relay this to people in the waiting room. But think of it this way, when you're under the knife and something requires more effort.. you'll thank yourself for going to Dr. Marcus.

11/04/08 1 2 1 2 Walking into this office is like entering a time warp into the 1970's! I swear there is a mirrored ceiling, BeeGee's music was playing and the receptionist uses an old TYPEWRITER! They are not yet computerized. Dr. Marcus dresses in a bizarre way - her dresses are 2 sizes too small and are half zippered, 4" heels and usually a fake flower behind her ear! She is impatient and very loud. If you need any refills on any meds. you have to make an appt., we're not talking controlled substances like pain meds. This is how she makes her money - if you have a question over the phone, you have to make an appt. to get an answer! Her receptionist is rude and always complains. There are plenty of dermatologists around so you don't need to put up with this dr.!

13/02/08 2 2 1 1 I was early and the staff was rude to me for being early. The doctor was VERY late. I went twice, both times she saw me for less than 2 minutes. Hardly looked at my problems, kept telling me I would have to come back to treat them. And then she gave me psoriasis cream for a wart. She also left the room abruptly both times, with no warning that our session was over.
