FANTASTIC doctor. Been seeing Dr. Bob for a little over a year, and I'm SO happy I made the switch. It's nice to go into an office and have time to talk about what's going on without feeling rushed. Dr. Bob actually takes time to listen to what you have to say, and pays attention to every possible symptom you might have before diagnosing or taking out the prescription pad. He actually takes time to discuss what's going on with you, and will explain any prescriptions he might give you, as well as anything you can do to help yourself. That's WAY more than I've gotten from any other doctor I've ever gone to. Always wonderfully polite and thoughtful, as well. LOVE this guy.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Bob's for over 20 years. He delivered our first two children, and showed extraordinary compassion, encouragement and optimism at the birth of our second daughter with Down Syndrome. He said to us in the delivery room, "She will walk, talk and go to Brownies." And he was right. He set the note for her life at the critical moment of her birth and she has been raised in that key ever since. He ensured nothing but the best of OB care when I had our twins. He is always ultra cautious, seeks to educate his patients at every opportunity and learns from them as well. I also cannot say enough about Mary, his other team member. She has accommodated my large and complex family with skill and care at every appointment. We never mind waiting because we know that Dr. Bob is taking the time to care for all of his patients. Bob was my Doctor for 10 years, from the time I went to Newfoundland until the time I left. Absolutely the best Doctor I have ever had.

Dr. Bob has been my doctor for years.He delivered all three of my children and believe me when in pain I am not always a good patient.Dr. Bob has a heart of GOLD,he will do all he can for you and then some.My parents now go to him and my dad has been very sick but Dr. Bob has been there for him and also for my mom.To Dr. Bob you are not just a number or a dollar sign...you are a person.To rate Dr. Bob I would ahve to go off the scale.....he is number one.Kind gentle man .Thanks Dr. Bob for everything you do.

Although DR.Woodland is not my doctor he is the doctor of a lot of people related to me and friends and they all absolutely adore him. One elderly lady that I take care of wont listen to anyone else except DR.Woodland.I try to tell her to cut down on salt and drink more water but she says I do whatever my doctor tells me to do even though in reality she should have been dead years ago thanks to DR.Bob she is still alive at a very old age.As for Mary the secretary, she has been nothing but helpful and friendly to me on the phone anytime i called to get this lady some samples of her medications because they are expensive or anytime I needed to talk to DR.Bob about this lady she was more than helpful.From all of their opinions and my experience with DR.Bob he is the best doctor here and he is so caring and making house calls when he has to is above and beyond his call of duty, sometimes he even makes house calls even when the patient do not ask out of concern, awesome doctor.

Like so many of the previous commenters, our family have been patients of "Dr. Bob" for more than 20 years and can't say enough about him, his partners, and his staff. Bob is straightforward and down to earth about medical issues, exploring your options for treatment rather than being prescription happy. Somehow, he manages to combine that with a deep empathy and sincere care for his patients. He truly does see you as a whole person and respects that person. He has been there with me through emotional and difficult times, as well as through some of the most joyful times (as his wall of baby pictures attests!). And, unlike so many other professsionals, he is willing to step out of his comfort zone and help patients find the help they need even if their needs are far from simple. A wonderful doctor and individual.

Dr. Bob is the best. I don't mind waiting because he really tries to fit people in whenever possible. Dealing with his secretary, however, can be very stressful. She is often very rude and at times doesn't show any compassion.

Dr. Bob was my family doctor 10 years ago. I have since left the Province and have searched high and low to find a physician comparable. I have come to the conclusion that physicians as great as Dr. Bob are few and far between, he truely is one of the best and those of you that have him as your family doctor should consider yourselves very lucky.

Dr. Bob is not actually my doctor, but I wanted to wanted to make a comment about this wonderful doctor. Dr. Bob was my late grandmother's doctor and I just wanted to make a comment on how he went above and beyond the call of duty in caring for my Nana in her last months. He made several housecalls and even drove home from his cottage on a long weekend to assist my grandmother in her final moments at home. He said that he wanted to be there so that the family wouldn't experience any undue additional trauma with the police investigation that would have followed Nana's death had he not been there. My grandmother loved Dr. Woodland and trusted him completely and he was always there when she needed him right up to the end. A truly wonderful doctor.

His wife is my regular doctor but I have been to him. He is very sweet and friendly. He makes you feel comfortable and he knows his stuff. Knowledgeable and caring too.

Dr. Bob has been my Dr. for over 25 years, and now my children and grand child as well. Many of my relatives and their children too.WE number in the hundreds and many of us see him. How they rate him i cant say, but the numbers speak volumes. He is an excellent doctor who leaves no stone unturned in a diagnoses. He will send you to what ever specialist required, and order the necessary tests to identify a problem.I have never had trouble to see him, but yes wait times used to be lengthy, but now that too is much improved.What can one say about that ,lol,if he wasnt good you wouldnt be waiting.Get real, get a grip , Mary has always been professional, and juggles hundreds of his patients weekly , some very urgent, so show some of your own patients and respect.She gets you into treatments and tests on a timely fashion always.Remember she has to deal with you and me daily,try a mirror when your sick or worried and you'll get the picture.LOL ps if you cant sign dont type it Jim Williams

Bob is a fantastic Doctor. I consider him to be one of the best in the province.He always has a pleasant disposition and tells you what you need to know , not what you want to hear.His diagnostic skills in my humble opinion are second to none.We should all be so lucky as to have a caring physcian like DR. I've been a patient of Dr Bob's for 25 years now. Was in to see him today actually. He is a great doctor, always there when you need him and always has a smile and kind words when you need them the most. He's helped me with numerous problems over the years. He has gotten me in for emergency appointments very quickly. He is very knowledgeable and he really cares about his patients. He's the best doctor we have here as far as I'm concerned. As for comments made here about his staff, sure they can be a little off at times, but I have always found them, especially Mary, to be very helpful. She has gone above and beyond for me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bob's for over 20 years. I can honestly say that he is the best. He have helped me through alot over the years. Time is not an issue with him, he is there to listen and he makes sure that you get the proper medical attention that you need. His staff is very friendly and they go above and beyond to help you. I just hope that Dr. Bob will stay in practise for years to come. In my mind "He Is The Best".

I have been a patient of Dr. Bob's for over 20 years. Although he is a really nice guy, the wait times are often excessive and it seems like he is often rushing to get you out of there. I also find that he sometimes does not seem to take my concerns seriously enough. I had to take my infant son back 4 times within 2 weeks before he finally gave us a referral to a specialist. Thankfully, though, he did get us an emergency appointment with the specialist. Despite these shortcomings, he is a lot nicer to deal with than most of the health care "professionals" around here.

Dr. Bob has been our family doctor for about 25 years or more. This man is the best!!! He has been helpful and courteous and is very knowledgeable is his field. He has helped me and my family through our medical highs and lows and will continue to do so for many more years to come.

My husband and I have been patients of Robert for over 20 years and have the highest respect for him. My husband has multiple health problems, including high blood pressure. Dr. Woodland kept trying until he found the right treatment to lower my husband's blood pressure to normal. As for his "redhead" office manager, she may not be the super friendly type, but she recognizes my voice on the telephone and even came running out to the parking lot to give me a note I forgot to pick up.

Bob has been my Doctor for ten years and I have been very happy with his treatment. He fits you in when needed and always takes the time to explain things. Like many others have said he is simply the best. The reception staff I find to be excellent as well and the "red head " has been very helpful to me and I would also give her high marks despite an earlier comment by a patient.

Dr. Bob has been our family doctor since our kids were born 23 years ago and he now treats the entire family. He is professional in every sense, gives you all the time you need to ask questions and is up front with his responses. As others have said, he remembers you treats you like you were old friends and we trust his advice.

Dr. Bob (as most call him) is an excellent doctor. Takes his time with his patients, does not rush them in and out. Our family have been patients of Dr. Bob for over 25 years, wouldn't trade him for the world. The Best.

Never had a problem with time! In particular, never rushed when seeing him. Staff always helpful. Never 'put off', seen usually on the day of calling. For a small family, simply 'the best'!!

Dr. Bob is the most reliable, upfront doctor I have ever dealt with. He always explains options, diagnosis etc and has an amazing memory for who you are and what you do as a person. He makes all of us feel like he truely cares for our wellbeing, physical and emotional.

I have been a patient of Dr. Woodland's 29 years. I have nothing but the best to say about him, he is excellent and he certainly gives us the time we require when we go to see him. He is very thorough and I have to say I respect anything he says. He is great with my daughter also who calls him Dr. Bob and he talks to her and listens to whatever she has to say. She adores him.

He is an excellent doctor, who takes the extra time with his patients if needed. The only fault that I have which I know many other patients have as well, is he needs new front staff. They are very contrary especially the red head.

Dr. Woodland is a compassionate and dedicated doctor. He never hesitates to use any resources at his disposal to help improve a patients quality of life. His comunication skills are excellent and he has a superb bedside manner and rapport with the children that he treats.
