Poor bedside manner. Does not like to be questioned. Has nurse communicate test results to you. If you have questions about the results, you are told to wait until your next appointment in several months to discuss with the Doctor. If coordinating care with other doctors, she will work without you and you will find out by surprise that there could be potential problems.

Dr. D'Ambrosio was brought in as a consult when I was hospitalized with pleural effusion. She came into my room at 4am, woke me up rudely, and while I was still in a foggy state, she told me I had ovarian cancer and to see my ob/gyn. My GYN repeated the test, and I did not have it. Thank goodness! Dr. D'Ambrosio refused to take me on as a patient for auto-immune disorders because she said I did not have anything in her realm. Even when my initial symptoms changed AND my primary doctor asked her to see me, she refused. I now have to drive 50 miles to another city to see a rheumatologist. She is too busy to accept new patients and seemed very rude when she saw me in the hospital. She does not take much time to look at your chart and did not ask me a single question before she diagnosed me as not having an auto-immune disorder.

Bed side manner was great but having to wait 4 months to get an apt is ridiculous. Would not allow a patient to consult with another Dr with in the same practice even after being referred to other Dr. Staff was not very pleasant to deal with, very stubborn and unwilling to work or compromise to resolve a problem or find a solution.

Doctor 'D' digs in collecting and evaluating a lot of detail. My case of vasculitis demonstrated unusual symptoms and was difficult to treat. Dr. 'D' researched my case until she found the right combination of drugs to cure me. She also is civic minded and volunteers her time at Teen Court.

I have always been impressed with Dr. D'Ambrosio's care and the excellent operation of the practice she is in as well. It's a model medical pratice! I received care at the infusion facility within the practice several times after initial appointments with her. Without hesitation, I can recommend her as an attentive and insightful specialist who is pleasant to interact with on personal as well as professional basis.
