Find another Doctor, don't waste your time or money here. My husband has gone to Dr. Meier several times. If you like a Dr. that is warm and personable and seems to care about all her patients, INCLUDING MEN, then this is NOT the Dr. to see! Her practice advertises to be a Family Medicine practice. My husband complains every time he goes about how grumpy and impersonal she is. He says, she acts like she doesn't like men. When he asks questions she treats him like she's annoyed and that his questions are stupid. She has no sense of humor, she is cold and prickly. Every time an RX is needed and our pharmacy calls for it (just refills), it is a pain because it takes so long for them to get back to the pharmacy. We are getting ready to get my husband a new doc. If you want someone who has a good handle on alternative medicine, check out Dr. Monique Martin. We only wish our insurance covered her, because she is really good. I'm surprised Dr. Meier doesn't have a high staff turnover. From reading other reviews, she must hire people who have similar personalities. Stay away. There are a lot of other good qualified doctors out there. Bed side manner is extremely important when dealing with people. She doesn't have it.

I was excited during my first visit, when the nurse practitioner really listened to my symptoms, then it all went downhill. She recommended I take some hormones (which they sell in the office) and ordered some blood and stool tests. After about two weeks of taking the hormones I started feeling awful. My hair began falling out, dark hair grew on my face, and I got incredibly irritable. I stopped taking them immediately. Also, I'm 34. Why would I need hormone supplements? But I trusted the nurse. The blood tests revealed nothing terribly strange, but the doc recommended about $150 more supplements. The stool test from Genova Diagnostics (http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/Tests/nonstandard.html) showed all sorts of weird things, and after taking the results to a gastroenterologist, he ordered a new stool test from a more reputable lab, which showed none of the same issues. My experience here has been a huge waste of time and money.

I have been a patient at Clear Sky Medical for several years now and I feel great. I have my energy back, I can do things that I used to do, I have los weight and everyone says that I look younger. I was looking for a doctor that had alternative methods, someone that was different that cared about prevention and wellbeing, that care about you and not just fixing you after you're sick. At Clear Sky Medical, Doctor Meier and the staff are friendly and relaly care about making you feel better. I tell everyone about what they are doing for me and how good I feel.

Steer clear of this practice. Meier claims to be a hormone expert but she clearly is incompetent and careless. If you have a medical emergency, she does not return your calls. She prescribed inappropriate medications for me, and I ended up in the ER. She puts you down if you ask questions about your health and care. I can't stress enough how she has harmed me!

Most of the staff members are very rude and unprofessional. When signing my paperwork after an appointment I accidentally grabbed a pen out of the receptionist's pen bucket instead of the patient pen bucket and the receptionist promptly picked up her bucket of pens and moved it out of my reach-all with a mean look on her face. The receptionist also kept insisting that I pay a higher copay than my insurance required which resulted in having a credit on my account after every visit, but she still refused to believe me and kept charging me the higher copay. Dr. Meier has a very cold bedside manner and comes off as very aloof and condescending. I was experiencing many issues; possibly thyroid, hormones, adrenals. She will only test for ONE thing at a time and you must make a return appt just to review the results. This could end up in MANY appts. On my thyroid test she said it was normal but she didn't do the full panel of tests and missed that I have Hashimoto's.Thankfully my GP found it!

I walked into Dr/ Meier's office a mess - I had no energy, growing depression, poor sleep and night sweats, declining bone density, hair loss and digestion problems. I came with all my previous test results, detailed family and medical history. I remember how patient Dr. Meier was while listening to me and reviewing my histories. The blood tests confirmed that even genetics weren't on my side - high cholesterol, essentially no hormones or thyroid and brittle bones. This has been a journey and now my bone density is above normal, I have quit smoking, my cholesterol and hormone levels are normal. Dr. Meier's support and personalized approach has changed and essentially saved my life.

Dr. Katia Meier and the staff at Clear Sky Medical are very pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating. When you call the office manager and she may be away from the phone, you have a friendly greeting. Everybody is very sincere and has compassion towards the patients' needs. I especially have numerous health problems. It is wonderful to speak to a Dr. that is calm, patient, understanding, and listens. The environment is very clean, cheerful, and friendly. I am very pleased and satisfied with my care.

Definitely look elsewhere if bedside manner matters to you. Don't let the European education fool you. She may know certain things and if your objectives are in the area of lips, lashes, and other cosmetic needs, she might serve you well. Then again, take a good look at her lips before you allow her to do that to you. The bottom line is and I hate to use this word....she has a Nazi heart, plus she is very immature, sort of like a child at times. That is a bad combination for an MD. Her communication with the patient is the worst I have ever encountered and it also extends to her staff, so they are in the dark as well. When questions are asked of her recommendations, she makes like it is a personal affront instead of a patient attempting to understand and become involved with their own healthcare. Natalie, her M.A., does the best she can. Diane at the front desk will attempt to verbally manipulate (including lying) when questions are raised. You have been warned.

Thanks to Dr. Katia Meier's expertise with hormone therapy and suppements, I am feeling healthy and enjoying my fifties. Dr. Meier helped me transision from synthetic hormones to bio identical hormone therapy. She also helped identify nutritional supports for my specific needs. Once I began bio identical hormone therapy my body dropped two sizes and many pounds back to my premenopausal weight and shape. It's great to feel and look great. Dr. Katya Meier provides excellent, comfortable injectable services. She is skilled and kind, and her practice provides a full array of aesthetic services. Life is more fun when you look your best. Dr. Meier keeps my face looking rested and natural. I am in my fifties and it is a pleasure to look in the mirror.

I have mixed feelings about Dr. Meier. I feel she is quite knowledgeable, but her presentation can be rather cold, indifferent, arrogant & intimidating. There seems to be alot of challenges with her office staff and alot of staff turnover. She asks for too many office visits to review lab work and often its hard to get copies. It has been hard to hang in there with her, but she has really helped with a significant health challenge. So I will continue for awhile longer. Once she gets to know you, she warms up a bit. Perhaps it is due to a European,German temperment. Botox doesn't seem to fit with a natural practice, so I think that is just for the money. I feel she does know alot regarding supplementation and does use quality nutrients.Expensive though. I hope things smooth out as there are too few holistic md's around. I have referred several others, but I warn them of the challenges first.
