14/04/14 5 5 5 5 When I first met Dr. Raskin, I was in extreme pain, from lack of cartilage in my wrists. I had been told that my only recourse would be total fusion of my wrists, which I found terrifying. Dr. Raskin assured me that there was another way, that I would be pain free and have wrist mobility. Which is exactly what he did for me. He is literally a miracle worker, who approaches his surgery as an artist, precise in every detail. His infectious enthusiasm and tremendous compassion for his patients is unparalleled. He surrounds himself with a wonderful staff, and I have to say that I cannot thank him, and them, enough, My only caveat is make sure you have a good health insurance policy. You pay what you get for, and Dr. Raskin is the best. But make sure you have the coverage first.

10/04/13 5 5 5 5 Dr. Raskin is by far the best doctor I have ever had. I have been a patient of his for 8 years, when I broke my wrist and had major complications as a result. Other doctors told me nothing could be done other than stapling my wrist. When I was lucky enough to find Dr. Raskin, I knew I was in the best of hands (literally). He was able to fix my wrist as if it was brand new. I then had multiple hand surgeries with him, as well, and he did an incredible job. You will never meet a warmer, more compassionate, and caring doctor and human being. Dr. Raskin gives each of his patients all the time in the world. You never feel rushed or brushed over. His entire staff is wonderful, also. Gabby, one of the PAs, is amazing. She is sweet, caring, and very gentle. I have had 7 surgeries with Dr. Raskin, and he truly has become family. If you need an orthopedic surgeon, do not think twice. Dr. Raskin is the best in his field and the best overall!!  Respond

03/03/13 5 5 5 5 Dr Raskin did a great job on my wrist, and i would recommend him highly. He repaired my torn S-L and TFCC ligaments, and 3 months post surgery, i have regained 95% of my mobility and 100% of my strength. I experience zero residual pain. i was told he is the best in his field, so why go to anyone but the best? he is professional, personable, and most importantly, an excellent surgeon. the staff at dr raskin's office is also amazing. Ahsley and Gabby, the physician assistants are two of the most professional, intelligent, compasionate, and attentive people i have ever met. Dr Raskin's knowledge of wrist ailments, and the personal touch he and his team provided throughout my treatment was unsurpassed. they took the time to answer all my questions pre op (and i had a lot, as i was pretty nervous), and they all took a personal interest in my case, and in my progress since surgery. An outstanding team who was able to provide superb results.  Respond

19/02/13 5 5 5 5 I had surgery on my hand last year, and I went to several surgeons before choosing Dr. Raskin. First of all, my injury was rare so I wanted a doctor with plenty of experience, who knew was they were doing. Dr. Raskin was recommended by health care professionals that I knew, and he did not disappoint. I talked to others who were fascinated by the prospect of working on my hand - but I had no interest in satisfying someone's curiosity. My surgery was fairly complicated, yet he and Gabrielle Lanzetta were patient and explained not only the surgery, but also the recovery process. The goal was a process to return my hand to complete functionality, not only a clean surgery. Also a note, there are other surgeons who have experience, but their offices seemed more like a factory. Dr. Raskin and his staff will take the time to talk and listen and involve you in the process. I would recommend anyone to this doctor. I am fully functional and extremely happy with the results!

17/08/12 5 5 5 5 I cannot say enough praise for Dr. Raskin. After going for opinion after opinion of other doctors who didn't know what was going on with my hand,I walked into his office he looked at my hand for 3 minutes drew a diagram of it and showed me exactly what my problems were. He is the most patient, warm dr. I've ever had. He explains everything and tells you honestly what to expect from and after surgery and your outcomes. He doesn't rush you and answers your questions more thoroughly than any dr. i've ever sat with. I look forward to my visits with him and the outcome is as advertised. His PAs Gaby and Ashley are the best in the field. They are knowledgeable, warm and great to talk to. They answer your emails quickly and thoroughly and believe me I know b/c prior to surgery I sent them a 12 question email and every question was completely responded to. They are all top notch and Dr. Raskin is just amazing. I will be forever grateful to him. No hesitation to highly recommend him. JH  Respond

11/06/12 5 5 5 5 Dr. Raskin is an outstanding physician. I was referred to him when my wrist was severely fractured in a horseback-riding accident. He did a superb job surgically repairing my wrist, and within months I was as good as new. He has a compassionate demeanor, and he explained my condition and the relevant procedures with patience and enthusiasm. Moreover, his staff was highly attentive and professional. I give him the highest possible recommendation.

16/05/12 5 5 5 5 Dr. Keith Raskin and his staff - Gabby & Ashley - comprise the greatest medical team I have ever dealt with. They are incredibly knowledgable of the field and confident in their craft. It seems that almost no injury is without resolve to this team. I had a deep cut that ran through the length of my arm on a Sunday. The ER stitched it, but a relative recommended I see Dr. Raskin and his team. Understanding the urge, he fit me in Monday morning. We learned through X-rays that the cut affected the tendon and if I wasn't in surgery ASAP, I would risk loving movement in the hand. By Tuesday afternoon, I was out of my first surgery - a quite pleasant experience that the team completed in a warm, private hospital. 8 months later, which included 6 months of physical therapy, my arm and hand has fully recovered and tests show it is actually stronger than prior to the injury. I give Dr. Raskin's practice my highest recommendation. Victor  Respond

27/01/12 5 3 5 5 Best doctor I ever had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing. He loves what he does, and the entire office works the same way. He is never rushed, in a bad mood, or arrogant. Every visit with him was equally good. I was the 8th of 9 surgeries and he still spent almost 30 minutes with me post-op explaining what went on and the prognosis. I would recommend him and his superb staff without any reservations whatsoever.

14/01/12 5 5 5 5 There really are not enough words to properly describe or praise Dr Raskin and his staff. My son had a horrific fracture of the two bones in his arm and was not properly treated in NJ in the ER Our wonderful orthopedist in NJ sent us to Dr Raskin and a terrible experience has now been transformed into a positive one. We actually look forward to our Dr visits in the City! My son was very nervous about going into NY for surgery but as soon as he met Dr Raskin, Gabi and Ashley, he immediately felt at ease (as did my husband and me). Two surgeries later (and one to go), my son is healing beautifully, all because of the incredible talents of this wonderful surgeon. Any time I've ever had a concern or question, my phone calls and emails have been quickly returned by the PAs and they have taken time to speak with my son on the phone as well to address his concerns. They are the most wonderful and respectful medical professions we've ever come across. We feel truly blessed to have them!

29/12/11 5 5 5 5 Dr. Raskin is a brilliant surgeon. Last winter I fell on an icy street, broke my wrist and seriously injured my arm. Several doctors told me that my injuries were "as bad as it gets" and my age (I am 62) would make a complete recovery unlikely. But Dr. Raskin and his caring staff were wonderful. And I'm happy to say that I've made a complete recovery. Dr. Raskin is one of a kind and I'll always be grateful to him for his dedication, compassion and excellent care. Peggy Garry  Respond

28/12/11 5 4 5 5 I'd been plagued by elbow pain for 10 years, and after rounds of injections and therapy I had given up. Until I met with Dr. Raskin, who assured me that lateral epicondylitis surgery (tennis elbow) would get me back to the activities I love. And not only am I playing tennis and winning, the pain I experienced doing everyday activities, turning on a faucet or opening a jar, is gone. It did take me out of action for a month or so, and I completed two rounds of physical therapy, but it was more than worth it. It was worth a million bucks to get a rebuilt elbow -- and a repaired mallet finger during at the very same surgery. Thanks, Dr. Raskin and Gabby!

14/10/11 5 5 5 5 Dr. Raskin was recommended to me by a fellow hand surgeon who said Dr. Raskin had "the best hands" he had ever seen. My 63 year old wrist was badly broken. Now my hand is like new. I am back to playing ice hockey. He gives you full attention, taking time to explain and to answer questions. His staff of Physician Assistants are excellent (knowledgable, responsive, supportive, encouraging)

23/09/11 5 3 5 5 The best. You might have to wait in his office longer than you wish, but it is worth it. Once you meet him, you get his undivided attention. He takes the time to answer your questions, explain what he will be doing. You quickly come to the conclusion that this doctor is at the top of his field. He follows up after the surgery to answer questions and to be sure that you understand what was done and how it will heal. His staff is friendly and efficient. Both of his PA's are warm, caring and very competent. During the past 15 years, I have recommended him to many of my friends and business associates. All have raved about him. All of my family members have been his patients (teenage athletes) and I would not think of having any other doctor work on my hands, arms or elbows. I recenly had elbow surgery as I could no longer play golf. Three months later, my elbow is fixed and I can play again.  Respond

13/01/11 5 5 4 5 Dr. Raskin did 2 of my surgeries, on my wrist and the top of my wrist. Both incurred through baseball injuries. He worked with myself and my parents on a budget plan that we could handle along with our insurance so I get the care & needed surgery. He is very understanding, personable, very hands on physician which helped put me at ease with my extensive and minor surgeries that I had done. My scars are feeling and looking great and I could not be any happier. His staff projected the same amount of care and hospitality as Keith did. I am happy with the connection that I made with the office and Keith. It was a great experience for me

09/12/10 5 5 5 5 I highly recommend Dr Keith Raskin as the "BEST OF THE BEST". I suffered horrible pain in both of my hands from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, tendinitis, and a condition known commonly as "trigger finger" in both thumbs, wrists and my right pointer finger. My pain on a scale of 1 to 10 was about 12. It was to the point that I would avoid shaking hands with people to prevent an extremely painful experience. The effects of my condition would wake me up in the middle of the night and made some aspects of my occupation as a police officer completely unbearable. I did not just land on Dr. Raskin's door step before trying all of the medically recommended pre-surgical treatments with no success leaving surgery my only option. I am now a post op patient 6 months and I have my life back. Both of my hands, fingers and wrists work like they did before the start of my condition. Dr. Raskin is an excellent surgeon with a impressive bedside manner. He & his staff treated me like a VIP. A+ in my book. 100%

20/11/10 5 5 5 5 IF I could award 10's to Dr. Raskin and his super staff I would be glad to do it.Dr Raskin fixed my thumb and trigger fingers that another Dr, who will remain nameless completely messed up. The first thing Dr. Raskin did was send me for all the tests he could to get the best possible picture to put my hand back together. Then he performed his michangelo act and created his masterpiece my hand. His fine staff led by Teresa Halinan are superb. His PA's Heather and Gabrielle are beyond exceptional in their knowledge and abilities. I have already recommended Dr. Raskin and his fine office to another family member. What can I say go to Dr. Raskin first.

03/11/10 5 5 5 5 Dr. Raskin is an exceptional surgeon and human being. He is technically masterful seeing his work (and your hand) as art and deeply kind and caring about patients. Teresa Hallinan, office manager, is extremely competent, compassionate and readily accessible. Tom- the radiology tech is one of the most gentle and kind persons one can encounter. Heather and Gabrielle, the PA's are likewise very smart and empathic and approachable. If you have a hand or wrist injury, Dr. Raskin and his professional and extraordinary staff will get you better again and will make you appreciate true, "top flight" clinical care. --Mary Rosedale

21/10/10 5 5 5 5 Dr. Raskin, what can I say??? He is the best doctor here in New York City by far. When I broke my forearm completely in half I started laughing at how little the hospital I went to before Dr. Raskin told me about the break. As far as I was informed, the hospital I went to before Dr. Raskin, just straightened out my arm & put a cast on it, they didn't even bother to put the bones into place. Then I went to Dr. Raskin, his physicians came & saw me, got the X-Rays, & Dr. Raskin was in to see mee in under 1/2 hour, & on my first vist to. After observing my X-rays, he made a sort of massageing motion on my arm to get the bones in place, & then casted me. When he confirmed I would need surgery, his staff were very helpful & full on answers as well as questions for allergies & such. After my surgery, the staff gave me exact timeing for all my castings. I give Dr. Keith Raskin & his staff 2 thumbs up with no hesitation. If you disagree then geuss what, you have the Wrong Dr. Keith Raskin.

19/10/10 5 4 5 5 Dr. Raskin is such a great surgeon. I have had to have both elbows and both wrist worked on and I must say I am pain free. I also love seeing Dr. Raskin as he is always genuinely happy to see me and takes time to talk and see how I am doing, because he thinks lifestyle is important and if his surgeries are working well for my pace of life. He does take extra time with patients so is late some 0f the time, but if I am going to have surgery , I really want my Doctor to know what I will be doing after the surgery, and to follow up untill I am 100%.After 4 surgeries I can say thet I am 100% happy

30/01/10 5 4 5 5 I went to Dr.Raskin in 2004 for Pinkie surgury on my dominant hand. The Pinkie had seemed to become unattached from the the rest of my hand and was drifting away from my other fingers. It was injured in a accident after lifting a very heavy object.I pain was incredible when hand shaking, and I could not put my hand in my pockets because thedrifting pinkie would get hung up on the outside. after surgery and rehabilitation, my hand is now 100%, and my Pinkie is now fully functional. Dr. Raskin is a great and compassionate Doctor, and his staff is wonderful. My sons have also used Dr. Raskin for the same type of injury to his thumb. We are happy with the repair made, and the rehabilitation.  Respond

14/12/09 4 3 5 5 Dr. Keith Raskin saved my life. More specifically he saved the functional and pain-free use of my left hand. I broke my hand in a mountain biking accident on the West Coast. I began a medical odyssey on both coasts (an orthopedist in Beverly Hills, a hand specialist at UCLA, and hand specialist at HSS) that landed me in his brilliant hands while seeking second opinion. He took the time to LISTEN. Because he actually listened to me, he knew to ask some key questions (never asked by any of the three previous doctors) which allowed him to ACCURATELY diagnose and treat me. Yes, I needed surgery, but he accurately assessed I had been under-treated in LA, but the surgeon in NY wanted to do drastic surgery that was over-treatment. My hand is now healed and beautiful. The one incision is not visible--to the point where some question if I really had surgery. I call Dr. Raskin the “Michelangelo of Hand Surgeons". I trust no one, but I trust Dr. Raskin implicitly.
