My anxiety ridden teen refused orthodontic treatment at 2 offices prior to our dentist's referral to Dr. Sutherland. His treatment plan did not involve extraction of permanent teeth like the others. And he did not recommend breaking the jaw because the results would not be worth the risks. The kind and knowledgeable staff were not condescending. I was pleased and surprised when my son agreed to treatment there. We have only just started by they have been pleasant to work with so far. They have been willing to work with us on appointment times and payments. I would recommend Dr. Sutherland to anyone needing orthodontia.

We had our first appointment today and I am amazed at the level of customer service and caring that he and his staff exuded. I left assured that I had made the right choice in choosing Dr. Sutherland for my daughter's orthodondia treatment.

I saw Dr. Sutherland 25 years ago for my braces and now my oldest daughter is seeing him for her orthodontic needs. From the moment we walk in, I feel comfortable and know my daughter will be well taken cared of. I appreciate how they are more than happy to answer any and all the questions I come up with.

I love this orthodontist office its close to home and the staff is wonderful... The christian atmesphere is by far the best part of the office... When you walk in the office its so great to see bible verses all over the walls... I love it there and the staff as well...

My experience at Dr. Sutherlands office was very pleasent. All of the staff members were very nice and seemed very educated. They would always tell me what they were going to do to my teeth and tell me how and what each tool does. After each appointment they would always pull me aside and tell my how much longer i had until my braces were going to come off and what they would do the next time i saw them. They were also very helpful at helping me get mouth guards that were ment for people with braces.

This office put the patient first and foremost. They are always eager to answer any question or any concern I may have. If something is wrong they are quick to get my children into the office to resolve the problem. I would recommend this office to anyone.

I had my braces done by Dr. Sutherland 17 years ago and have a beautiful smile to show for it. My dental does not cover going to Dr. Sutherland but I chose to pay out of pocket to bring my daughter to him. I know it is worth every penny because he does wonderful work! And some of great staff that he had when i came as a teenager are still here! That says alot for this office and doctor :)

I really like Dr. Sutherland. He is so nice and everyone who works in his office is super nice! He has fun games to play while you wait, but you don't wait long. :) He has a very nice office and he takes very good care of your teeth. My smile is already looking alot better and I'm not done yet! He is the best!

I first encountered Dr. Sutherland about 10 yrs ago as a referral from
my Dentist. They said my daughter had an overbite and needed
braces, Dr. Sutherland said different! She has a beautiful set of teeth
at 21 yrs old now. So when my sons front teeth started coming in
crooked, I took him to only ONE Ortho man...you know who. He
fixed my son up with an apparatus that fixed his front teeth in no
time. Dr. Sutherland continued to have my son back for checkups to
see how he was progressing. Now that he is ready for braces (11
yrs) I didn't even consider taking him anywhere else. I figure if Dr.
Sutherland could be honest enough to decline putting braces on one
of my children, he would be honest enough to do the right thing with
my other child AND he does WONDERFUL work.

Dr. Sutherland and his staff really take care of their patients. I have had two children receive treatment from his office. Both have great smiles! The office also supports the community and kids of Puyallup. I would recommend this office for anyone looking for orthodontic treatment!

We have had both children treated by Dr. Sutherland and our insurance covered half the cost. They were treated for the first phase of orthadontia at a young age. This was recommended by our dentist and by Dr. Sutherland with the thought that widening the jaw and the pallet during the growth stage would make more room so that their permanent teeth would not be crowded. Unfortunately, their teeth are still crowded. At least one of our children still needs the second phase of treatment to avoid having his teeth becoming impacted. This is not something that could have been predicted. However, with new treatments that are offered I am thinking it would have been possible to avoid the first phase of treatment and just have them get braces in adolesence. That would have saved us a substantial amount of money. The care has been great at Dr. Sutherland's. Ther is no doubt that he is very knowledgable. But the two phases was confusing. The first phase used all our benefit, the second is costly.

Dr. Sutherland is the most friendly and caring orthodontist I have seen or heard about. He is very helpful in understanding your situation and making the treatment work for you, for health or financial reasons. I would recommend him to any one looking for a good orthodontist at an affordable price.

Dr. Sutherland's office is really cool. IF I have to wait I get to play Wii. I have been coming here for almost 7 years and had many appliances and just got my braces on today. They are sore but they look really cool!!

I love going to the orthodontist. The staff is very friendly and they explain everything in a way I can easily understand. I never have to wait long and I get to play the Wii while I'm waiting. My mom thinks it is a fantastic office. Dr. Sutherland and the staff always ask how everything is going because they really care. I highly recommend him to anyone!!!

Dr. Sutherland's office is a spectacular office full of wonderful and committed people. Everyone makes you feel as welcome as can be when you enter the doors. They make it as home feeling as possible by having a house warming feeling in the waiting room with a wii and magazines/books to look at and enjoy. It's also a great experience when they work on your teeth by having a slide show of relaxing pictures and the conversations they have with you while doing your teeth. All in all, I believe and many other people do that Dr. Sutherland's office is a wonderful orthodontist that makes you feel how anywhere should.

Dr. Sutherland's has scheduling down to a T. I have never waited more than five minutes in the three years my son has received treatment. His appointments have never gone over the scheduled time and they have even been able to squeeze him in the same day on emergency basis. We've had our share of wires coming loose. The staff has always been very understanding and patient with my son. They offer a very affordable payment plan for those of us without orthodontia insurance. As well as providing an entertaining waiting area with clean toys, a WII, and Game Cube with non-violent games. I have waited there with three children under the age of 5 while my son was being seen. All the while, all three were entertained. The office is very clean, yet has the inviting filling of a home. The staff and Dr. Sutherland are all very friendly which make us all feel comfortable.

Dr. Sutherland & Staff have worked together a long time and there is little turnover rate, so each time you are in you see the same people. This is very helpful to parents of children when there are concerns you don't feel like you have to explain everything each time you go in. The are all very nice & friendly!

I had never been to a orthodontist until i went there. I love it. All the people are very friendly. You get to play the Wii and the game cube while you wait or some times you can play with a gameboy sp. If you have a problem with your appliances they help you fix it right away.

Son needed so much work. After, about 8 months we could already see changes. Our son did so well on first phase and finished before time, that Dr. Sutherland hoped for.He was ahead of schedule. we waited for the next phase and now we can see so many changes. That is without having to look at pictures. We have been so pleased with Dr. Sutherland and all the changes already taken place. We are waiting to see what the finishing touches look like. Just can't believe what he has done for our son. The team also keeps encourging him and gives him praises for the things he has done, and tips to change the things he does not like and he comes home and then he does what he is suppose to do. We don't have to keep on him. The staff talks to him and he does it. Thanks so much for this doctor.We don't have to wait for our appointments. They even handle emergencies if they can fix the problem they do look and evaluate the situation. Also, important to me is the peaceful surrounding.

The office staff as well as Dr. Sutherland are always courteous and well organized. I have very rarely had to wait much beyond our appointment time. I have found the office to be helpful with insurance questions and always positive and friendly at each visit. I highly recommend this office for yourself or your children...it will be a very positive experience for the child as well as the payee!

I am extremely pleased with our experience at Dr. Sutherland's office. The office is asthetically pleasing, games for the kids, coffee, tea and water available. The staff is very professional, structured and helpful. Appointments have been on time except one 10 minute delay. My son's treatment is right on track and he never complains about having to go to the orthodontist! I would highly recommend Dr. Sutherland.

My daughter has completed a full treatment in Dr. Sutherland's office and my son is in his first year. I am very pleased with the treatment and the results they both have gotten. Dr. Sutherland is very good with children. All of his office staff is pleasant and helpful. We always leave the office feeling lifted. Dr. Sutherland and his office epitomize what a professional, competent team should be. The care, communication, and professionalism have been applied to both of my children. My son had some especially demanding orthodonture; I am not sure a less skilled practitioner would have met his needs.
