My back surgery failed miserably I called Ramin amirnovin several times and each time I waited and hour or longer and got disconnected everytime...Im in much worst shape now then prior to surgery..Im not able to walk or seat ,my legs are in pain 24/7 ...I have spams in my legs constantly, pain and a burning sensation..Ramin amirnovin never took responsibility for his blunder, even after I call his office many times no call back....At the end I was seeing bu his sidekick Alexandria arias she was rude and in a hurry ,Arias talk down to me and told me ' Do not come back here anymore this is your final visit go see a pain management dr...I will never recommend Ramin amirnovin he lacks compassion and knowledge...In my opinion he is more of a businessman than a competent dr...I totally regret having had surgery with him big mistake...Stay away from this guy please, now I have to have repair surgery to correct ramin amirnovin blunders...I'm 78 years on a fixed income and back surgery is very expensive ...UC.I .is a better option or U.C L.A. are better options ..Im having repair surgery.in January...After all this time Ramin amirnovin never own his blunder ..No compassion at all or competence.. I remain firm with my patient opinion of ramin amirnovin ...Josef..U. .
Dr AmirNovin is an exceptional neurosurgeon! I am recovering from complicated lumbar surgery (a PLIF procedure w/instrumentation). It has removed all the pain caused by severe spinal stenosis in three places and other problems including L4-L5 spondylolisthesis (a slipped vertebrae). For the prior 2-3 years, I had so much pain in my legs and lower back every time I stood up and walked–every step was torture. Now the only pain I have is from arthritis, which affects many joints, the worst is my knees (my next surgery). I am amazed at the results of my surgery in Dr Amirnovin's most capable hands. He is an incredibly caring human being, and an amazing doctor who will explain your options in clear terms, and answer all the questions you may have. I think the world of him and would choose him for any kind of neurosurgery. I highly recommend him without hesitation!
one of a kind. spent the time to explain the surgery to me and I am so happy I found him.
Thanks to Dr. Amirnovin, I have reduced my parkinson's medication and I stopped using a walker. I recommend him highly. His staff is also very professional and caring.
Dr. AmirNovin performed a life changing operation on me (Mar 18 11'). On my last MRI check-up regarding the tumor removal,I am still free of any sign of regrowth. As promised I am letting him know that I have completed my FIRST 1/2 Marathon. By the way, the staff has always been a class act.
I came to him with a severely herniated disc. I could barely walk, barely stand, barely do anything! I was in severe pain 24 hours a day! I had seen 2 other doctors that wanted to remove my disc and do a fusion. Dr. Amir-Novin offered me a microdiscectomy after he reviewed my MRI. When I asked him why the others offered me a fusion he very clearly explained why it was not in my best interest and why the discectomy would be a better choice. My surgery was in December 2013 and it gave me my life back! I now am able to ride my bike (200 miles in a day!), hike, work in the yard.. really, just be the person I was before my injury. I am so thankful that I was able to see him and I couldn't recommend him enough! He really is the best!
My dad was in Foothill Hospital in June. He was initially under the care of Dr. Disney and Dr. Rodriguez. These two doctors both said that my dad had minor bleeding on the brain and that it would get better over time. No need to operate. Dr. Amirnovin was filling in for these two doctors one day. He told us that my dad had major bleeding on the brain and that we must have misunderstood the first two doctors. Which we did not. We were told that my dad had suffered a stroke while in the hospital. Dr. Amirnovin said that we should just let him go; that he would do that if it were his loved one. Dr. Kundi was the neurologist overseeing my dad. Dr. Amirnovin and Dr. Kundi both sent my dad to hospice instead of a rehab facility where he should have gone. My family and I had no idea what hospice was at the time. My dad was denied an IV and feeding tube by the hospice doctor Dr. Kalkat and the nurses. My dad died in hospice from dehydration. If your elderly loved one suffers a stroke, do not take them to Dr. Amirnovin or Dr. Kundi. They do not want to help them to get better. They will just send them to hospice to die.
Does not explain your options well enough, and treats you as a subject
I had a brain tumor the size of an orange. I was terrified but Dr. Amir took me through the whole process step by step and made me feel safe. I am back to work and would recommend him highly.
I had DBS surgery for my Parkinsons' disease 2 years ago and I am more active and stopped taking my parkinson medications. I refer this doctor to everyone.
