Dr. Kannankeril is wonderful. I recommend her to all my friends. When I first came to her, I was having all sorts of problems. I had been to quite a few traditional medical doctors and they were all stumped as to the cause of my problems. Dr K spends a whole hour with you, every visit! She takes copious notes and really listens. From experience I know it is extremely rare to find a Doctor in DC that will spend time with you AND listen. As it turned out, my hormones were out of balance, and I can honestly say her treatment has helped me get my life back. If you are a complicated case like I am, Dr. K will think outside the box and try new things.

My whole family comes to see Dr. K and think she's fantastic. The kids look forward to their visits and so do I. I've had stomach problems all my life that no one has ever been able to fix and she ran the tests to figure it out. The only thing is that if you're the last appointment of the day, she does sometimes run late but she always gives you the full time of the appointment.

The office staff is so pleasant I almost don't feel like I am at a doctor's office. Dr. Kannankeril is wonderful. Always willing to take time to answer questions and very knowledgeable in a number of areas.

Just had my appt with Dr. K yesterday as part of my New Year's resolution to get healthy. The visit was terrific. I expected her to do most of the talking, but in the beginning she wanted to hear my goals and my reason for coming in. We went through the typical medical questions, etc of course but it was nice to have a doctor care about what I was looking for and not just list my symptoms and hand me a prescription. I certainly have my work cut out for me, but I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I found Dr. Kannankeril on the Integrative Pediatrics website and was pleasantly surprised that my son with ADHD actually enjoyed his visits too! Dr. K ran some neurotransmitter testing on him and explained everything to myself, my husband and my son so we understood everything. My son was happy that the doctor was talking to him rather than about him. He's excited to take his medicine because he's feeling better and his teachers have told me the improvements they've seen. Dr. K and her staff are terrific and she helped my son with tremendously!

Went to see Dr. Kannankeril at suggestion of one of my girlfriends and I've been very happy with her care and attention. She ran tests that my other doctors never thought of to figure out why I was having hormonal issues. I went to my gyn doc first with the same story and she just gave me a prescription for birth control without any explanation. It's refreshing to have a doctor who takes an interest in explaining things to you.

This doc is just terrific. I'll admit that I'm a doctor-hopper because I just haven't found one that I like. Dr. Kannankeril feels like an old-time doctor in a small town who actually listens (except we're talkin Washington DC here) and she knows all my family. Dr. K's treatments work too and believe me, friends and family notice when you're getting better! Same issues as the other person mentioned with her office staff being good, but just too busy sometimes.

Dr. Kannankeril is really unlike any doctor I've seen. She is genuinely caring and I never feel like I'm going to be judged when I see her. She's helped me with weight loss and balancing my hormones. Her office staff is helpful too, but it's a very busy practice, so getting through for an appointment can be frustrating (but it's worth it).

Dr. Kannankeril has been wonderful for me and my family. She's helping to regulate my hormones and I finally got off Prempro when no other doctor would help. I've taken my daughter and son to her too for nutritional counseling and my family seems to be doing better than ever. Whenever I have a question, Dr. K will always respond with a personal phone call. She's very knowledgable and takes the time to explain conditions and her treatments in ways that I (and my kids) can understand. She offers a lot within the one hour appointment. My family highly recommends her.
