Dr. Ukani removed 2 moles for me. While the surgery was very minor and could have been done in an office, it took place at Eagleridge hospital which added unnecessary extra cost to the health care system. The nurse who was supporting him handled a chart, a pen and other non-sterile items with her gloves before the surgery and didn't replace them or even wash before assisting with the surgery. Before he released me he gave me some fairly strong anti-biotics which I generally prefer to avoid, but given the poor sterile procedures that were followed, where probably a good idea. Even so, at one point, there was some puss in one of the wounds but it went away by itself. The end result was nevertheless very good.
Dr. Ukani did a great job with my breast reduction. No problems whatsoever. His staff is incredibly helpful and Nina was always ready to help with the many questions I had. The only thing I would want improved upon would be more detail as to what to expect with respect to recovery and reasons why there are restrictions. My questions were always answered, but I think it would be so much easier if they were answered before I asked. Apart from that, fabulous experience and friendly surgeon.
I saw Dr. Ukani for breast reconstructions after a mastectomy. He and his staff were incredibly kind and patient. I had many questions and concerns that he took the time to answer. He also provided a CD with information on reconstruction. He followed through with me at the hospital and was compassionate. The surgical results are awesome and my physio therapist said I had one of the best results she has ever seen. He does not do the tatooing of the aerola which I understand some drs. will but instead refers you to a private tattoo artist.
