27/12/13 5 5 5 5 Dr. Berg has helped to relieve pain in my hip. When I first visited the office I was bent over and could not walk with ease. Since my accupress treatment the pain has greatly diminished and walking is alot better. I have begun losing weight by drinking the kale shakes and changing what I eat. I highly recommend Dr. Berg to anyone!

02/09/13 1 1 1 1 Even though Dr Berg might seem nice from what I gathered you'll only get to meet him in the beginning of the program and be left to deal with his rude and unprofessional staff for all of your other visits. He has phone people with nice speaking voices who make the apponitment and explain the program but you'll never see them in the office. The wait to be seen is long in what seems like a dated reception area and he's not even a general practioner, he's a chiropractor. He wants the programm fee upfront which is well over $1000 and won't take insurance. I found his book useful but not the program for weight loss.  Respond

03/08/13 5 5 5 5 I have been to only three appointments, first with Dr. Berg, then with his wonderful, very knowledgeable, thorough and caring Assistant, fondly called Dr. E. Since I put myself under the care of this practice, I sleep better, (after years of almost no sleeping through the night ever). I am losing weight and inches. My skin is now radiant and glowing from the nutrition facts I have been taught. I no longer have pain in my body after having neck and back pain for years. I am full of energy and feel young again. I use to moan and groan just to rise from a chair because I had absolutely no energy. Even deadly energy drinks did not help me. I totally believe in this Doctor and his staff and without a doubt my health has greatly improved since I began. I had horrible reflux for over a year. It is gone!!!! My spirit is lifted because my health is being restored and I am going to gain my healthy body back because of Dr. Berg's staff.  Respond

21/07/13 5 4 5 5 I completed the health and wellness program with Dr. Berg and his staff. It was a life changing experience. Dr Berg was very personal and his staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The support from the staff was tremendous. I still go to his office for treatments and my treatment times are usually punctual. I was very ill when I started the wellness program. My blood sugars, blood pressure, cholesterol and weight was out of control. I followed the program as instructed and after 3 months, the quality of my life was greatly improved. My body got real healthy from the inside out and I am healthier now than the last 15 years. Whenever I have questions I call or visit the office and the support staff always answer my questions or get back to me. The staff meets my expectations. I thank all the staff at Dr Bergs office for being there for me when I need it the most.  Respond

05/05/13 1 1 1 1 I have been to 8 of my 12 visits and have become so frustrated with this joke of a program that I am not sure that I will ever return. I had several visits where I was not seen until 1 hour after my appointment time with not as much as an " I apologize" from the front desk staff. When I spoke with the office manager, who is just as incompetent as the rest, she only offered a $35 gift card that can only be used to purchase their products. How does that compensate me for lost time and horrivble customer service? It doesn't! I express my frustration to the practioners and they seem to be shocked as if I am the only person who has not had success. I have yet to get all of what was promised in my contract--no exercise recovery information and from the supposed testing my body is working worst that when I started. I can't believe I paid for this crap!!!!!  Respond

22/04/13 1 1 1 1 Me and my husband did go to Dr. Berg after he came several times to our church to deliver his seminars. Generally speaking Dr. Berg has a good knowledge of the matter BUT you only see him for the first visit and then you are left in the hands of incompetent, unprofessional, ignorant assistants. One of them in particular is very rude and not available to answer questions, another one is not capable to provide effective answers for a vegetarian or vegan diet and to have an answer you should wait until they don't get an answer from Dr. Berg. The front-line employees are ALL rude, incompetent, distracted and above all they don't have healthy body. They are all obese and they run the test and provide information, non sense! A wellness center with all incompetent and obese workers. Dr. Berg only cares for your many not for your health! We reported to Dr.Berg the rudeness and inefficiencies of his staff and nothing changed. We stopped going,we still had two sessions left, such a waste if money.  Respond

17/04/13 3 3 2 2 Rude/aloof/gossipy staff routinely ignore/brush off patients, E-mails and voicemails went unanswered for weeks with no apology, appointments always start late, never told in advance what appointments consisted of, "testing" is available online (http://awscenter.com/home.html) for a fraction of what they charged me ($1,300+), massage chairs hurt (I mentioned it, but my settings weren't changed). After 6 weeks of "treatment" and following my program, I lost 3 lbs. of water weight, but was otherwise essentially unchanged. In addition to the program cost, I paid $30 for a month's supply of Kale Shake mix and about $30 for Dr. Berg's Gallbladder Support, Ovary Support, and Zypan (dried sheep and cow spleen, anyone?) supplements. I feel duped for spending nearly $1400 for a book, three supplements, chocolate kale powder, and having midsection and back acupressure so hard that I winced every week. It's a pseudo-science pyramid scheme with client referrals. Then, they get duped, too.

09/01/13 5 5 5 5 As a Doctor wanting to learn a new of healing. I spent 2 days shadowing Dr. Berg and it was the best money I have ever spent. We saw over 50 patients in a 2 day span and I was amazed at how fast Dr. Berg could not only remove pain but find out where hormone issues were coming from. He is one of the few doctore that actually treat the cause and not ust chase symptoms. Thanks Doc for all you have done to promote natural healing!!!  Respond

17/08/12 2 2 1 2 I tried to give Dr. Berg the benefit of the doubt but I continued to be throughly disappointed. After two weeks into my treatment I was then given the famous Blue folder which included all the instructions on diet and exercise. After asking my practictioner what exactly should I be eating during this treatment, she said refer to the blue folder, I said what blue folder? To make ammends to the oversight I was gifted five additional sessions. Basically restarted my program. I began to get hopeful again. After getting the folder and reviewing it I realized that the diet was not vegetarian friendly and then called the office to gain clairication. The secretaries are trained to filter calls. This made it very difficult to gain the information from a practioner. When I went in for my treatment I mentioned this to my practioner and she informed me that she did not know anything about it. The followup and communication are very poor. Not worth the money!  See Responses

19/10/11 1 1 1 1 Had physical problems for a few years before I went to this doctor approx 2000-01. Have since been diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome. He didn't give me any chiropractic at all. After him, saw several chiros who gave me some relief through standard chiropractic treatment. What he gave me were all these "vitamins" which caused tremendously bad side effects. The first ones I took, in his office, made me dizzy so he gave me different pills which made me feel worse. Was taking at least 10 pills per day. There were many side effects such as one supposedly for my uterus gave me this strange feeling of waves moving through me. I later had an early menopause. After stopped taking them, my body chemistry seemed to have changed and I couldn't even take an advil or vitamin with getting jittery n crabby. Think they made me worse. My son, who has aspergers took them n he went from super skinny to very heavy. Think they changed his body chemistry too n made him worse. Gave Dr. 100s of $.  Respond

08/11/10 4 3 5 5 This was the best $1880.00 I have ever spent. When I went to the clinic my entire body was in total pain. 3 mos. later, I had no pain in my body. My orthopedic dr. told me I needed knee surgery, it is 2 yrs. later; my knee is surgery free and pain free. I could not lift my right arm, due to tendonities; the arm is still pain free. I would recommend Dr. Berg to anyone; it worked for me and will use it again.  Respond

17/09/09 5 4 5 5 There are some insurance companies that will accept. I know this for a fact. If you have a Flex Spending Account that is also in your favor. I use it for my treatment. U spend $$'s submit the receipts & u get your $$$'s back so you can continue going for treatments. Me & my husband my mother my sister-in-law use Dr.Berg and we have had nothing butFavorable results & we continue to go to Dr. Berg. He's knowledgeable and we've all enjoyed his treatments.I went to dr berg 1 Sat morning deadly sick with something I have no idea I had a splitting headache, achy all over could not walk in there on my own by the time he and one of his drs. finished with me when I left there everyone at the front desk was amazed it was like a total transformation I left there smiling and went on my way and went on with my day. I to this day am amazed at the diffeence from when I arrived to when I left 1 hr. later.  Respond

02/02/09 1 2 2 2 DO NOT GET ROPED INTO PAYING FOR A PACKAGE WITH DR. BERG!! The cheapest package is for 12 sessions and it costs $1380 and you have to pay for it all up front (none of the treatment is covered by insurance). The other thing is when you sign on for the package you are agreeing to be treated by people other than Dr. Berg and you don't get to meet them beforehand. The acupressure technique does not work. The acupressure sessions are generally quite rushed. That being said, the diet that he recommends in his book is helpful; he does know some things about nutrition. But all that requires is buying his book and following the recommendations in there; all of your progress will be based on your effort to grocery shop and prepare the right foods. If you do choose to see him for nutritional advice, see him on an individual session basis.

30/01/09 5 5 5 5 Highly recommended!! I've attended the Wellness Cntr for 1.5 yrs now. It's been the VERY BEST experience.I suffered from many different ailments and have seen marked improvements in every aspect of my health. The EXTREME exhaustion, painful joints, body that wouldn't respond to exercise, constant year-round rhinitis, abdominal discomfort, shakiness, improper digestion, slowing thyroid, slow metabolism, difficulty getting deep & restful sleep, and unresponsive acne are all GONE or VERY well managed. They've even helped me get over allergic reactions in a few days that previously would only subside with months of steroid creams and pills. They've NEVER pushed supplements on me or encouraged me to sign up for more and more rounds of treatments.Their staff is VERY polite, professional,& kind. The doctors are honest, caring,& knowledgeable.Everything Dr. Berg & the other doctors say makes perfect sense AND works.I've stopped taking all medicines, have lost the final 10 lbs and am in great condition.  See Responses

14/01/09 1 1 1 1 Eric Berg, D.C. operates The Health and Wellness Center in Alexandria, Virginia, has been reprimanded, fined $1,500, and ordered to stop using and promoting Body ResponseTechnique (BRT), Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET), Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA), and testing with an Acoustic Cardiograph (ACG). BRT, NAET, and CRA involve bogus muscle tests that supposedly are related to body organs. The ACG is claimed to provide a "readable signature" of heart sounds" that is used to detect imbalances of body chemistry. The alleged problems are then corrected with dietary supplements. The consent agreement (shown below) notes that Berg had made many therapeutic claims that were not supportable by reasonable scientfic or medical evidence. Surveys have found that over 40% of chiropractors have used muscle testing in similar ways, most notably as part of a system called applied kinesiology.

03/12/08 5 5 5 5 Dr. Eric Berg helped me a lot with my problems. He is a very impressive man and he knows what he is talking about. I had many issues especially pain and he handled it and this is not even mentioning the Weight Loss Program he has. The 4 body types that is mentioned in his book, The 7 Principles of Fat Burning, is incredible. You will be surprised on how good each body type can describe the person..it will leave you speechless. I really appreciate all of Dr. Berg's help and would recommend anybody with Pain, Weight problems or any problem in general to go to him.  Respond

12/05/08 2 1 3 3 I am embarassed to say that I fell for this guy's spiel. His offices were dated and cluttered, and poorly furnished. His office staff was so unprofessional, that I wanted to ask him, why he had such a large staff if things still didn't run smoothly. I waited one afternoon for over an hour to be called, when the office staff had told me they would work me in. I actually fell asleep waiting to see the doctor on another occassion. Those of us, who are overweight, are always looking for a new fix, but I can't wait until my money that I have paid is used up, because I will never make this mistake again. The couple of doctors that I saw were polite, and they seemed genuinely interested in your health, but after the first visit, I never saw Dr. Berg again. I guess I will see him at the end of my time, so he can convince me I need more treatments. I know my answer already, no.

24/12/07 2 1 1 1 Eric E. Berg is a licensed chiropractor, not a medical doctor. He uses (has used) alternative 'techniques' which the licensing board in Virginia has instructed Dr. Berg to "cease and desist the use of, and any and all advertising pertaining to, BRT, NAET, CRT, ACG" among additional requirements to keep his license. Dr. Berg has trained and 'certified' a large number of alternative practitioners in his "Body Restoration Technique" (BRT). He also trains practitioners in how to incorporate 'weight loss' services, rather than 'pain relief' services, including all the marketing tricks to increase the number of incoming patients. Visits averaged around $95 and no insurance is taken. The Health and Wellness Center is a practice which certainly seems very interested in taking lots of your money.  Respond

09/10/07 1 1 1 1 Dr.Eric Berg and the Health & Wellness Center is a total scam. He claims to use a method of acupressure called, Body Restoration Techniquite, or BRT to help all ailments. It is a total lie. They rope you in with a free seminar, where they pay a person to attend & claim results. Next, they do not accept any insurance nor do they provide codes. Their office staff is unintelligent, does not know how to use their own computer programs, and cannot answer simple questions. The office is designed so that you can hear everything going on with other patients. There are no doors, only curtains, and no closed walls. The "doctors" there keep you coming in for visits by telling you how sick you are and that you aren't yielding results b/c you are so sick. They also prescribe unnecessary supplements in unsafe amounts. Horrible experience...these people are clearly out to take advantage of sick and poor people.
