Rude and arrogant does not begin to describe this "doctor." I took my 85 year old mother there after she broke her wrist. On a subsequent visit, she asked him why it hurt so much and wasn't healing faster, and he practically spit in her face shouting, "Because you're OLD, M'am!" This brought tears to her eyes and mine. I told him he was obnoxious, and he said that I was banned from his office. Have no fear about that, we will never visit this jerk again. I reptorted this incident to the AMA, and after investigating, they responded that his behavior didn't warrant a sanction by them! Excuse me?? The doctor to whom we brought my mother after this debacle said that he heard that D'Agostini "doesn't like to treat old people." But from other comments on this site, it doesn't look like he likes anybody.

Dr. D'Agostini needs to learn basic human communication. He is rude, uncaring, and has an anger problem. He did apologize for one comment he made to me, but it did not make up for the rest of conversation. He is very arrogant which makes it seem like he doesn't really know his trade. He won't answer simple questions, which made me wonder if he even knew the answer. Needless to say I have not returned to see him and have found a better doctor in the area.

The doctor was very straight forward. What some people mistake for rudness was simply the facts. He tells you what you need to know and is very knowledgeable. I had an ACL reconstruct and was walking in less than 24 hours with minimal main. The doctor knows what he is doing!

As a surgeon he is the best. He performed a corrective surgery on my feet. I had a major congenital defect on my feet that was affecting my daily life and limiting me to do regular activities. If I hadn't had that surgery I would most likely not be able to walk today. In reference to him professionally I agree with others that he lacks people skills and understimate the knowledge of patients to understand their own health related problems. ALso, he needs to have some culture awareness. When I got my records and I read them it bothered me a lot to see that he considered me to be a low educated woman which with my physical limitations will make it more difficult to get a good job. He didn't and probably still doesn't realize that I was a newcomer when I had the surgery. I was in the process to learn English. Besides that, he doesn't know my background, or what kind of education I had in my country. What I still don't understand is why I had to take my clothes off to check my feet.

The visit was great. Doctor knew right away what was wrong with me. After just one visit most of the pain was gone. Doctor is very knowledgeable and helpful. I wish more doctors were like him. Highly recommended.

Excellent doc - has done two procedures on me with excellent results both times. I've never experienced the problems others have had with him. He's thorough and seems to explain things just fine. I have a feeling that several of the ratings about him were written by the same person.

D'Agostini has a Dr. House attitude- which I could deal with if he was right as often as House is! I saw him for a joint problem, when I went back for the same problem he couldnt be bothered with my questions or answering any of the issues I had. All he could do is repeat (3 times-as if I were deaf) his orginal instructions. He apparently doesnt like people questioning his judgement. My experience with him has been very confrontational, sarcastic, and disparaging. Needless to say he will NOT see me again- I wont be wasting my/insurance's money

With all the experienced orthopedic surgeons out there, I wouldn't go back to D'Agostini with my dog! His condescending arrogance works against patient education. He may know textbook orthopedics but he has absolutely NO respect for the patient's knowledge of one's own body. He has NO hesitation in labeling a patient as stupid if he doesn't agree with a question being asked. His consultation was disrespectful and sarcastic as soon as more than superfulous information was requested. Didn't want to give the patient any insight or options..."his way or the highway". Oh and by the way...on the way into my procedure I heard him NOT order physical therapy because "physical therapy is a waste of money"... Not according to most of the medical community. Don't even waste your time with him!

Nasty, rude, condescending and downright mean. When I mentioned my insurance co was Aetna he literally threw my file at me and said "They never pay me. Do what you want." He refused to explain the procedure to me, saying it was "routine boring stuff". Also his staff lost my MRI films and wanted me to pay $100 to get another set. I probably should have been warned when I noticed that the posters on his exam room walls were for the National Rifle Assoc. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

So far seems to be pretty knowledgeable. However, I waited an hour past my appointment time and then only got 5 minutes with the guy. I'm not convinced that 5 minutes is enough time to accurately diagnose a patient, much less help them.

Dr. Dags is by far the best surgeon out there. If you want to make sure that your problem gets fixed, then go to him. He honorable, ethical, honest and truly cares about his patients. If and when I have orthopedic problems in the future, I will undoubtedly go see him, and I recommend him to all.

Most intelligent doctor I've ever met and tells it how it is. If you want things done the right way, he is your surgeon.

After having my hip replaced at Morristown hospital, was verbally abused by this Dr. He was unable to control my pain after the epidural wore off. He came into my room yelling at me saying "This isn't a Drug Barn". I started to cry since he hurt my feelings deeply. Was it my fault that he was unable to properly control my pain? He is an excellent Dr./surgeon with horrible bedside manners.

Rude, condescending and arrogant; spoke rapidly in confusing medical jargon (I am a nurse, but he did not know that). When asked a simple question regarding my daughter's injury, he reprimanded me for "NOT PAYING ATTENTION". My teenagers have better manners than this physician. Shame on him.
