:) Click to report rating    12/28/09 4 3 5 I love Dr. Flick. He is always patient with my questions. He explains everything in a way that can be understood by anyone. I have had to wait a while to be seen on some occasions but nothing that would stop me from coming back. His nurse promptly returns my calls. I have and will continue to recommend him to others.

:) Click to report rating    9/22/09 5 4 5 I have been a patient of Dr. Flick for about 8 years. Dr. Flick reminds me of my older generation doctors that treated patients with respect, true concern and not as another animal coming down the line. He's intelligent, stays current on the latest medical tools/techniques and he really does care. He's hard to get in to for appointments because he is good. I have never ever in my 8 years visiting him witnessed nor experienced some of the harsh things said about him on some of these reviews. He's a good ole' boy from Greensboro and it's not in him to act in this manner.

:| Click to report rating    6/28/09 1 3 3 His staff lies to patients. Major abnormal labs ignored. Negative drug interactions ignored by Dr. Flick. Nice guy and easily liked but have to wonder about his real medical knowledge.

:) Click to report rating    1/21/09 4 2 4 Dr. Flick is a decent doctor. I've gone to him on occasions and he seems to know what he is doing. Granted, I never go for routine stuff, just when I have too. But when I've needed to, he seems to find the problem. I like his bed side manners as he listens to you and seems to care. However, he always seems late. I think he squeezes in a lot of people. Overall, someone I would recommend.

:) Click to report rating    4/29/08 5 4 4 After having recently moved to NC from Maryland, I was assigned to another doctor's office and then my insurance changed. I then met Dr. Flick. I found him to be very nice, understand and made sure that he understood all information I gave him on my medical history. I would recommend him to anyone who has recently moved to Raleigh, NC. I am satisfied with my doctor and plan to stay with the firm. The usual amount of time was spent waiting, which to me was very limited. I was satisfied with the waiting time.

:) Click to report rating *  3/6/08 2 3 5 Dr. Flick is part of a fair-sized family practice, and the supporting staff is typical of what you find in our area. He's an excellent diagnostician and looks you in the eye while listening carefully to what you're saying. A good personality, and the right blend of age and experience. Making appointments is fairly easy and they do their best to fit you in for sudden illnesses. Other than that, dealing with the staff can be a problem. The nurses or physician's assistants return patient telephone calls once per day, if at all. Calling for any reason other than scheduling an appointment is a frustrating experience. With that and an 70 mile roundtrip drive, it's still worth it to see this guy.

:) Click to report rating *  11/30/07 5 3 5 I would strongly reccommend Dr. Flick to anyone. He is thorough, explains everything, both diagnosis and prescription. He also is very current on new research and treatments. I rate the office lower on punctuality because I have had visits -- probably 3 out of 12 -- in which I waited 45 minutes past the appointment hour.

:) Click to report rating    10/28/07 4 4 5 He seems genuinely concerned about me and my health. He remembers me from visit to visit--and my history. He treats me with respect. He allows time to talk--and doesn't seem to be rushing me out the door. His physical exam is quite quick/ abbreviated, however. Overall, I think he is a really good doctor and would recommend him to anyone.

:| Click to report rating    10/10/07 4 2 2 My physician moved too far from where I live. So, I looked up for any physician in my living radius and found Dr. Flick's practice. The visit was okay. Not the best and not the worst. The receptionist was good and very helpful. However, I didn't find Dr. Flick welcoming and open and helpful. Reserved actually. Very different from other doctors I have ever gone to. It took over a month (plus a phone call to the practice) to get the results from the Lab work that was done during the visit. I would probably go back to the practice. Giving them the benefit of the doubt. Thanks.

:) Click to report rating    9/30/07 5 5 5 I have followed Dr. Flick to 3 different offices and he is the best doctor I have ever had. He's very knowledgeable as a doctor and has great beside manner. I don't know what I would do if he's wasn't by practicing.

:| Click to report rating    9/30/07 5 5 2 Dr. Flick is very knowledgeable, funny, witty, compassionate, and friendly, however these skills aren't all that's needed to make someone a good doctor. He's a great guy, but not always as through as I'd like. Sometimes I feel that he's not listening to the patient enough. He is, however, on time and quite personable.

:) Click to report rating    9/30/07 5 4 5 Dr. Flick, who was recommended to me by a friend when I moved to Raleigh six years ago, has been perhaps the most caring, knowledgeable, and patient physician I've ever seen. He is willing to answer as many questions as I have, and always make me feel as if I'm his most important patient. His knowledge is vast and detailed, and his "bedside manner" is kind and personable. He also always gives me options regarding treatment, and values my insights/opinions on things. Finally, his nurse's follow-up and proactivity on annual appts that I might overlook is impeccable. I have recommended Dr. Flick to many people since I've been his patient, and everyone has thanked me numerous times. I have nothing but respect and appreciation for Dr. Flick as my physician.

:( Click to report rating    9/7/07 5 5 1 Dr. Flick was the worst doctor I have ever seen. Not only did it take him almost 30 mins to see me, (after I was in the exam room) but he was snotty, condescending, and wrote a horrible out of work note for me. I was sick with an upper respiratory infection and he wrote on my doctors note that if I had better hygiene, that I would have been able to go back to work the next day. I was shocked and embarrassed, especially since I care about my hygiene a great deal and was very clean when I went in for my visit. My human resource dept said the note was the rudest thing they had ever seen. Why would he say something like that on a work note, other than to intentionally embarrass me? My in-laws, who have also seen him, have had similar experiences and said his comments are cruel and down right sadistic. Please take my word for it...stay away!!!
