George shows compassion to each and every patient that he treats and his excellent bed side manner settles the fears assciated with brain surgery! His confidence and friendly staff made my experience bearable. His knowledge is second to none.

Dr. Kolyvas did my Brain Biopsy and he was very Gentle with me. I am 22 and suffer from Cerebral vasculitis and he made me feel very comfortable and came to me in recovery to say everything went ok I really think he is a great neurosurgeon

George is a great surgeon. He was percise and very patient with my husband and my questions about the procedure I had ( Microvascular Decompression).

I'm waiting for surgery and was hoping to see how others rated him. In the office, I found him to be very polite, making sure I understood the surgery he was going to perform. I did not feel rushed and am not apprehensive about my surgery.

Dr Kolyvas is the best,he takes time to talk to you,and I am very pleased with both of my surgerys,I still need him for my cervical spine, so I pray to God he never leaves Saint John Brenda Trainor.

Staff seem to forget appointments given and deny having given them when they are questioned. Need to constantly call the office to confirm and have follow up done. Dr. doesn't read reports (ie: MRI unless reminded) in a timely fashion. There is an air of lack of concern for the patient's suffering. Does a lot of consulting with other members of the staff before making a decision.

I have had to surgery with Dr. Kolyvas twice and he has been the best. He takes the time to explain the procedure and he doesn't do the surgery until he has lots of tests done to make sure that surgery is the best option for you. He is not always on time for his appointments but he is a surgeon and he has emergencies which happen a lot. He is agreat doctor and a surgeon.
