:) Click to report rating    7/21/09 5 5 5 I have been a patient of Dr. Rashbaum for 10+ years. Though I am not HIV+, which is his specialty, I feel that he takes the time and effort to listen to my concerns, as well as, give me the feedback I need regarding necessary tests & procedures for my own wellbeing. I have recommended him to many friends and will continue to do so.

:( Click to report rating *  1/15/08 1 1 1 Was seen and not told that they were no longer taking my insurance and was footed by a huge bill. HIV trials are run by pharmaceuticals and I doubt that there is no bias of certain medications used by this practice. Not coming back here again. I felt I was mistreated.

:) Click to report rating    10/2/07 4 4 5 I have been an HIV patient for 20 years, and I speak from a lot of experience. Dr Rashbaum is HIGHLY knowledgeable, caring, and has excellent skills. Yes, he also offers many alternative solutions (dermatology, drug trials) thank GOODNESS. If no one was doing clinical trials, where do you think you people would be getting your HIV meds from?? Mars?? You are crazy if you don't realize how important this research is. And Dr Rashbaum NEVER pushes me about research studies, he just provides referrals to clinical trials as options. I have never participated in a study, and have been his patient for 5+ years. Overall, his competence level is excellent, and you will not find better and safer care anywhere if you are HIV+

:( Click to report rating    9/12/07 1 1 1 I disagree completely with the previous two comments. I had a horrible time here and felt that BOTOX was what they were selling. I believe this best left up to dermatologists and having a primary care physician do this after weekend courses seemed sleezy to me. I went for a check up and saw the PA and not the physician I had asked for.

:) Click to report rating    8/13/07 5 4 5 I also found Dr. Rashbaum to be very considerate and knowledgeable. He took time to go over my entire medical history with me in detail. I felt like he saw me as a person first and not a chart number. I would encourage anyone who wants a kind, smart, thorough doctor to see Dr. Rashbaum. He also gave me some great recommendations for specialists. And his staff was as great as he is.

:( Click to report rating    7/20/07 1 1 1 I am HIV positive and saw this physician having moved here to DC recently. I felt rushed and forced to change medicines by this doctor even though I was controlled. He seemed to have other issues in mind when I found that he was doing medication studies and I felt like a research subject for which he was being paid for. I found this unethical and will seek care elsewhere.
