:( Click to report rating    11/11/06 2 2 2  Dr seems more focused on laser/surgery procedures. Assistant took history and complaint, which the doc read afterward in my presence (instead of asking me directly). Appeared competent but DID NOT RESOLVE or provide explanation for chief complaint. Prescribed unnecessary medication for unrelated issue on 1st visit and he did not seem to be aware of the medication's side effects - the med prescribed may increase pressure in eye, but I had to prod him to check my eye pressure on f/u. Office set up 1 appt for testing and then a 2nd appt to review results because doc was too busy to meet (results were available immediately); was charged for both appts, which seems unethical. Dr was brusque and dismissive, with arrogance fitting for a surgeon. Probably a good surgeon (many photos and testimonials in office), but as a specialist referral by my PCP, poor chair-side manner.
