Has been my doctor for 2 years and I find him to be very thorough. Also very kind and personable with my children. His approach is conservative and not quick to prescribe. I find this refreshing.
I went to see him about extreme pain in my right shoulder and arm. This was accompanied with numbness in the fingers as well as burning sensation. The condition worsened, and I had 2 more visits over the span of a 2 weeks. I was also put off work during this period. Upon the 3rd visit, he misread the intense agony I was in as anger, was extremely rude and stand offish. He also refused to treat the condition, standing by his original diagnosis of a sprained shoulder. Shocked by his poor attitude, and unable to live with the worsening state of affairs, I sought a second opinion. The condition was in reality a bulging disc which was pinching a nerve, thus creating the high amount of pain and discomfort. The second doctor prescribed adequate medical treatment, and within a week or so, there was marked improvement in my condition. The physiotherapist I duly saw also agreed that the second assessment was accurate.
I had to go to outpatients with an ear problem, and he prescribed the correct medication. My old doctor in Alberta had apparently prescribed me ulcer medication for an ear infection, sheesh! He was very nice and polite to me, listened to my complaints and I would recommend him.
