08/01/14 5 5 5 5 I have suffered with chronic lyme to 4 years and visited dozens of doctors with no success. Dr. Horowitz is the first doctor that gets it. He spent 3 solid hours with me on my first visit and both he and his staff were very kind and put me on the path to finally getting cured. I could not be more thankful that I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Horowitz.  Respond

31/12/13 5 5 5 5 Best Dr in the country for the treatment of Lyme's. He is a true pioneer. He treated my son back in 2001 when no one even was looking for Lyme's let alone know how to treat it.  Respond

03/12/13 1 1 1 1 This "doctor" should be ashamed! I've called his office 10, yes 10 times trying to make an appointment to be seen as a NEW patient. I have yet to receive even a single call back! Beyond the unbelievable consult fee he requires it appears that all that matters to him is getting on TV and making money. As someone who suffers daily from Lyme and genuinely needed help it's disgusting to me that someone who claims to want to help patients clearly is only interested in making money. Trust me if you're really sick don't waste weeks trying to get an appointment with this guy. You're just wasting energy you probably don't have. I know that's what I did.  Respond

05/06/13 1 3 4 5 I have been a patient here for a few years. Dr Horowitz is very knowledgeable and has gotten me from pretty unwell to much, much better. He is a good doctor. His staff though are extremely disorganized and rude. To get a call back you have to often call several times. If you mention that you do not get calls back, they become extremely rude and defensive. They cannot handle or accept constructive criticism. This is not new, it's been like this in all my years going there. Dr Horowitz is, like I said, a good doctor but he has mood swings and you will find he's either warm and charming or impatient, a bit rude and arrogant. Depends on the day. He does recommend a lot of supplements, which conveniently are sold there.  Respond

22/03/12 3 3 5 5 I have been a patient of Dr. Horowitz and his NP for years. It is because of them that I have two beautiful (Lyme free) children when no one else could help me. Other comments have mentioned the price. I feel that your health is priceless. There are so many uninformed or misinformed doctors (that accept insurance) out there that do not understand Lyme Disease and the co-infections. Dr. Horowitz and his staff are always on top of the newest and best treatments. Their aggressive treatment is what allowed me to carry a pregnancy full term and even breastfeed after being diagnosed with Lyme, Babesia and Bartonella. The NP and PA on staff work hand in hand with Dr. Horowitz and I feel just as well cared for being treated by them. I do not feel it is a waste of money seeing them (PA, NP) on your first visit. If you are serious about finding a cure, this the man to see!

14/02/12 1 1 1 3 beautiful tranquil spa like atmosphere. the staff was indifferent which suprised me for the rates they charge..well over a thousand dollars which you have to leave half down for a deposit before your first visit. he seemed more interested in how much you could afford to buy between the supplements (which they conviently sell there ) and the outrageous fees there. i felt foolish that i thought this was a dr. that might care about helping me, rather than getting me to spend spend spend. i won't return and instead have made an appointment with a dr. that another patient i met in the waiting room told me about with reasonable fees and no demands to purchase supplements at more expense than the treatment itself.
Paid (or co-pay): $1500

25/11/11 5 4 4 5 One of the best Lyme doctors in the world as far as knowledge, but he's fairly impatient and has an overly high opinion of himself. I've seen two sides of this doctor, the caring side and the borderline obnoxious side. He expects brain fogged patients to write his instructions as quickly as he thinks of them. He should hand patients a protocol instead of expecting very ill patients to take notes. You will be under the care of a PA anyway, so you will only see Horowitz about an hour a year. One of the most uptight Buddists I've ever met. Not saying not to go to him. Just know that he's not the easiest person to deal with. But he is compassionate and will do his best to get you well.  Respond

05/10/11 5 5 5 5 finally someone is willing to listen. My regular doctor looked at my positive test results, and told me--look in the mirror--u dont have lyme u r fine....???? so basically telling me all of my symptoms and bloodwork results are a result of my imagination!!!! Dr. Horowitz and Lauren Yonker (pa) have finally made me feel at ease. They also found a co-infection that was never tested for by other dr's. I have had lyme for years and am well on my way to feeling better thanks to these wonderful people. They are caring, understanding, and knowledgable. They also work with homeopathic and traditional medicine, which I think is awesome. dont hesitate to use these wonderful people!! I finally have answers...and HOPE :)

21/05/11 3 5 5 5 It's too early for me to tell if I'll get better under Dr. H's care, but after only 2 weeks, he has me herxing like mad. My apt with him was wonderful. I have been to 4 LLMD'S over 12 years and he is the ONLY one who showed true compassion. He spent 3 hours with my husband and I. I didn't feel like he was selling me false hope at all. In fact, he never offered a promise or even mentioned the future. What he did do however was rid me of the panic my last LLMD had filled me with. Dr. H spoke to me like I was his equal, NOT like just another lyme patient. At the end of the appointment he hugged me and wished me well. Is he full of it? Who knows..maybe they all are but I can say for certain that the man knows his stuff and listens to every word you say. I do agree that the supplements can be daunting and it's tought to organize it all. I have felt overwhlemed by it at times. The staff is mediocre but I have yet to find an office staff that isn't! Time will tell..  Respond

23/04/11 4 4 5 5 John Fallon has helped my daughter so much...she is in her 3rd month of treatment and on the first visit on a scale of 1-100 she felt she was at about a 10..started treatment, and our next consult she felt she was at a 35..we just had our 3rd consult and she feels she is at 70....Thank you John and Dr Horowitz for making my daughter feel "almost normal" again!!!  Respond

03/02/11 5 5 5 5 The best doctor I have ever see. He spent four hours with me and has been able to get me back on feet from chronic Lyme Disease. I am getting better all the time and have great hope that I will fully recover. He did what other doctors said was impossible and I owe him my life. Thank you Dr. Horowitz and bless you.  Respond

04/10/10 4 5 3 3 Fairly disappointed. Heard a lot of good things about this doctor, but I really haven't seen him yet. Been going there for 4 months and he only popped his head in for 2 minutes and barely acknowledged me. I've been under the care of a PA. Didn't really travel all that distance and pay al this money to be diagnosed/treated by a PA. I had expected my first visit to be with Dr. H., then handed off to a PA. Don't know when I'll ever see the doctor himself. Feel I've been misdiagnosed and treated for a co-infection I don't have, while they have missed the one that's causing the most trouble. Everytime I call, they recommend yet another very expensive useless supplement. Getting very disappointed.  Respond

23/06/10 1 5 4 5 Great doctor. Not so great office staff. They don't return phone calls or faxes. I had a 4 hour appointment, so I was impressed about that. Hardly any good LLMD takes insurance after the Jemsek fiasco  Respond

11/03/10 2 2 3 4 This doc is extremely arrogant and abrupt. His main focus is himself and his reputation. He operates in "CYA" mode. As he writes notes in patient's charts, he goes to the extreme by using multiple exclamation points and underlining things to point out how patients have failed to follow his extremely detailed instructions (he does not see how illogical it is to expect a sick person to keep track of 30 different meds/supplements). He is way too aggressive with his treatments for tick-borne disease, and this has caused problems for many of his patients. If your body does not respond positively to his treatments, he gets annoyed and blames it on you...to the point that he has outbursts and threatens to drop you from his practice. His behavior towards his staff and his patients is very unprofessional.  Respond

31/08/09 5 5 5 5 Dr.Horowitz really cares about each individual patient. His knowleage of all kinds of treatments from the whole world is the best. After seeing over 30 specialists, I was trully amazed about his approach. I wish I would not live so far away to be able to see him more often. He is giving me hope that one day I will be able to function again.

27/08/07 5 5 5 5 Dr. H is one of the best doctors I have seen. After being very ill Dr. H gave my his life back. Finally a diagnosis of Lyme disease was diagnosed after seeing 8 other doctors over 2 years. A previous person commented about not taking insurance. You can submit the claims to your insurance company and if your policy allows you will be reimbursed. This is not this offices fault they do not take insurance. It is the insurance companies. The entire office staff is helpful and professional. The PA/NP that work with Dr. H. are wonderful. Dr. H. leaves no stone unturned. He knows his patients and cares. As far as the phone calls. If it is an emergency you get right through and talk to someone right away on the phone. They take care of the problem immediately. I think the phone system of leaving a message works great. They always get back to you. This is a very busy and well run office. Dr. H and his staff gave my son his life back. He is now has his health back thanks to this caring doctor.  Respond

30/06/07 4 2 2 4 He doesnt accept most insurances so it is very expensive to go there. It is about 700 just to see the nurse practitioner, not including the blood work and medication prices. The wait time once you get to the office is long, they are almost never on schedual. One good thing is that they take their time and look into every aspect of your medical history to make a diagnosis. They give you all the medication you need. They are ok with giving pain meds when needed, but when you call to get refills on something you have to leave a message but they dont get abck to you until like 8 at night. Overall he is an Okay doctor.  Respond
